As Viper posted: TMS FWD Short to toggle Mav from a non-track state to a tracked state. One thing to be careful with this is it is marking by GPS. So depending on the angle you mark you could be actually marking behind the object. So if you come in a different heading then your intial approach you could be targeting the ground behind the object. So a way around this is try to mark the bottom of the object so your GPS mark will be very close to object at any heading into target. I do not take credit for this. Someone else had mention it can be done. I just tried it out and like it.

Problem with Warthog Throttle
TwoLate replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yes TM was nice and prompt sending me a new one from France when I sent my brick to Canada. Total turn around and 5 calls to support with 5 emails I had it in 3 weeks minus 65 dollars for postage to Canada. -
Cant wait to get home and try this. Thanks

Keeps getting better and better with each patch. Can't wait for the next patch.

Sounds like a console game.

Boomer I looked at your site, I like what I see. I fly IL2, have FC2, Blachshark and DCS A-10. I also play ARma2 so this might be a good fit. DCS a-10 I want to be my main sim. I might be filling out a application.

Targeting pod what a useful tool. It is fun JDAMing but also with Mavs. Lets say we have six targets. Take the TGP and get your set point on target and then short right on TMS. Do this for all six targets and it will give you six marked points. Now go to CDU and change steer point to Mark instead of flight. Select mark "a" waypoint then china hat forward long to move mav seeker to the first target. Get your lock and fire. Select mark "B", China hat forward long to get second target, get lock and fire. Rinse and repeat for all other targets. None of that moving the mav slew. Not having to move the mav slew is so much more effecient. O yea what a blast. Thanks ED.

The 120 was from landing a lot at Batumi and sitting on the runway dead center. A heading of 121 or 122 would be exact. I think the rounding to 130 in game is off. Should have rounded to 120. The Steering bars seems to sensitive. I use the ADI caret for glide slope.

No this is more of a quick airstart mission to practice your ILS landings not instructional.
-
Ok I tweaked the mission for Beta 4 . Runway lights will come visible the last 30 seconds. Link at first post has been updated. http://web.comporium.net/~mringler/Batumi%20ILS.zip

Mtuckner Tried your track. Nice landing. Yes in Beta 4 there seems to be more fog. I had less fog or the lights were brighter in earlier beta. Maybe tone down the fog. Original mission you saw the lights brightly the last 30 seconds to landing. I will have to tweak this. Thanks all for the replies and feedback.

Green lights of TM Warthog Throttle
TwoLate replied to STP Dragon's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
After I got my brick throttle returned, TM sent me a new one. They could not fixed mine. That told me that an electrical component most likely went bad. With the first throttle I left it on all the time. Now with new one when computer completly shuts down i unplugg the throttle and joystick. I plug it back on when I want to run the sim. -

Problem with Warthog Throttle
TwoLate replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
TM is not talking at all on this. Is it the firmware? Or some cheap electrical component in the Hotas that goes out? -
TM WH Throttle - Totally Dead
TwoLate replied to Flamin_Squirrel's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I sent mine to Canada too. They were real nice. They shipped a new throttle from France in two days after it left France. -
EVGA Superclocked GTX 570...
TwoLate replied to Atomic978's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I do the same for my benchmarking. My plane is facing the ocean on ramp at Batumi. I just start mission and hit 5 on numpad and check FPS. -
Warthoggers: Updated firmware released
TwoLate replied to topdog's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I had to ship mine back. Got a new one and made sure it was flashed woth new firmware. -
I turned them off because the reflection off of my head was blinding me.

What Teej said is spot on. I had a 260 OVC and a friend gave me a 480gtx and I saw no difference in FPS. 480gtx because of the more video memory did allow me to turn up eye candy without a frame rate loss. Also the comment on CPU is spot on. Good advice there. Memory will play a small part. Faster memory can give a small increase with a cpu dependant sim. Talking about the bandwith of memory.

Thanks all and feedback on the amount of bad weather. I think I put in just the right amount so at the end of approach you get enough time for final corrections. That was my attempt. To fly almost blind but yet get a visual at the last moment for correction.

Warthoggers: Updated firmware released
TwoLate replied to topdog's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well got my new throttle from France after I sent mine to Canada. I went ahead and flash the new firmware just in case it needed it. All is working good. Wish I can get the lights to go off. -
:megalol: You have to admit that the throttle and stick just screams Testosteron With the black, metal and toggle switches. Arrrgggg Arrrrgggg Arrgggg.
