This is a great post. Opens up a lot of memories. Remembering 3dfx made me smile I was a Jane's Longbow 2 fanatic (and Jane's F-15, F-18). Also F-18 Korea So I am very happy to be around for the Apache and the rest in VR. I liked the mention of Apache/Havoc. Remember Commanche/Hokum? Yes for sure the Apache (especially in VR) is better than I would have have believed. All of DCS really.

No after barely landing at Kutaisi I took off again and landed at the carrier. I was just so surprised to get a OK 3 wire in that weather. Thanks Pizmo

Mission 6 Problem So I went and saved the day at waypoint one, barely landed at Kutaisi but then somehow got an OK 3 wire at Stennis? This must be a bug in that weather! I'm just kidding about the bug. Loved the mission. Great campaign so far! Thanks Pizmo

I just got my HP Reverb a few weeks ago and I'm not having much issues with a 1080ti. Matter of fact I'm having a blast. Only using it for DCS. The only issue that bothers me is the flickering while waiting for missions to load. I'm definitely not returning it. Thanks Pizmo

I am thinking of going for the Reverb Pro. Anyone think I could get by for now with i7-6700 (not K), 32 GB DDR4 RAM, and ASUS 1080ti? Nothing over-clockable. Processor has Max Turbo Frequency 4.00 GHz for what that's worth. Thanks Pizmo

Once I figured out to make micro-movements with the joystick, a tiny nudge in the direction I want and release, it started working for me. The throttle fell into place after that. Great campaign! However on Op Hammerfall 3 there was only one wingman yesterday despite a voiceover from 3 Also, oddly the one wingman I had didn't follow orders to engage air defenses and started straying North causing a radio warning. He never did rejoin and RTB'd. Normally he does as instructed. Still fun without him Thanks Pizmo

I completely agree the A-10C module must be aging well. I'm recently getting back into combat sims after a decade at least and new to DCS. I went straight for the F-15C (Jane's fan) and then the Huey, but the A-10C is very interesting and complex and ugly and I keep drawing to it. Including today. Thanks Pizmo

Well I had an extra 8gb DDR4 so I just needed to get a match to make it 32gb. But I'll be in beast mode eventually Thanks Pizmo

Yeah it definitely helped me decide to upgrade CPU. I'll probably go with the GPU and RAM upgrade only and run with that for a few weeks. Then take the plunge. You're input was greatly appreciated. Thanks Pizmo

So I just ordered a new Geforce 1080ti to replace my 1070. However I only have i7-6700 CPU and a H170 motherboard (not overclock-able) . 16gb RAM Does anyone have issues with the CPU bottlenecking the 1080i with this setup? Can I expect a big improvement in performance without having to upgrade CPU and motherboard? I'm using Oculus Rift CV1. I know I could just wait and find out but any input might help me order some items while I wait. Thanks Pizmo

I think it looks great. I wanted to mention for me at least the VR zoom is working great now. Still the green dot in the F-15 HUD but I'm not complaining. Not flying it much anymore anyways. Nice job and thanks ED! Pizmo

I really have to agree. I've often wished I could try some of the other aircraft available. Even just for a short time. Demo style. I've bought some I didn't care for. I know it's not likely and I'm okay with that. But with VR (as I use) you can't really decide watching cockpit view YouTube video to if you could sit (virtually) in the actual plane for even a few minutes. Pizmo

Just finished the campaign and I miss it already. Great voice overs. Lots of unexpected changes in the action. I especially liked the F10 options to report in as Winchester, Joker, RTB, etc. Most times I really needed that. I got many mission successes on the first try which is very rare for me. Not 100s but still was able to move on. Mission 15 was my favorite. Last mission was beautiful. Please make more campaigns! Pizmo
