  1. At the very least I’d expect visors on aircraft that already have the animation to raise/lower the visor, and the external view of the pilot with a visor: F-5, Mi-24, CH-47. But yes, I personally would love to see it on every single module in DCS, as you say “just like in real life”
  2. Exactly. As said earlier: we finally have a nice little RedFor jet and the first thing people do is turn it into a BluFor one The only convenience option that should have been present is the same ones we already have for other RedFor modules: english cockpit labels and english Rita - for those of us who didn't grow up with Cyrillic. A metric F-15C is equally silly IMO, but if ED gives us a 'BigMac MiG-29' they should also give us a 'Tovarich F-15C'. The best option would of course be to simply remove the imperial MiG-29 options, forget about them and never mention them again. It's begging for bugs and opens the door for ever more silliness. Seriously, if we can learn imperial then the yanks can learn metric too...
  3. Did you try unticking "Simplified AI"? It's the only Caucasus IA mission that has that option ticked. *edit* I just tested it myself: retained the cold start, but gave myself a few Shturms and added a target APC for Petrovic to play with. With that option unticked, everything worked as expected and the APC blew up for the glory of the Motherland! So, this is 'working as intended', and not a bug. In this particular IA, there is no need to bring weapons.
  4. Nope, works just fine for me.
  5. One of the first lessons you learn in DCS: don’t get too attached to your wingmen
  6. The Caucasus cold start IA mission doesn't give you external weapons, just 2 external fuel tanks. So what's the point of the Petrovic aiming mark (the inverted Y) showing up if you can't use it? Did you load up Shturms or Atakas before asking Petrovich to warm up the weapons?
  7. Am I missing something here? Bringing up the targeting reticule is your job, not Petrovich's, as the controls are in the pilot's cockpit. Petrovic will activate the weapons for you, and activate the sight, but the rest is up to you.
  8. Definitely! It’s one of the most immersion breaking aspects of DCS currently. Sure, there are limits to computational power, but some sort of simplified/abbreviated version of at least believable sensor behaviour would be brilliant!
  9. If you read the tooltips, they will tell you the default (realistic) settings for force sensing sticks.
  10. You’ll want to add a track, if you’d like ED to have a look at this.
  11. It depends on your unit settings as well as avionics language setting, making it a bit of a mess at the moment. The only combination that seems to be working correctly right now, is default/metric/native.
  12. Feel free to equip the regular helmet and check again if it fits with your RL experience: ED gave us visors for both types.
  13. That reminds me: before I purchased my new R1 Falcon pedals, I watched the only review that was on YouTube at the time (from a Russian channel), and the guy mounted the damper wrong. Not sure how that would affect the functionality of the pedals, but still…
