It seems that for some reason the Radar is still being sent Elevation commands when your in controlling the Targeting pod, after messing around and going back to the Radar, the Elevation was pegged to the bottom of the Radar Bar and refused to come back up to center with out moving to ACM mode. This ones fairly easy to replicate sorry no track as the files way to big but steps are: 1. Load TGP onto the aircraft, get it active etc. 1a. Check your radar is doing it's normal 0 degree elevation bar scan 2. Zoom the pod in to 9 an back a few times using the Radar Elevation slew 3. switch back to Radar.. notice that the elevation carot will be pegged to the bottom of the radar and slewing the radar elevation up for all it's worth don't appear to bring it back up (seems like it's ignoring the hard limit possibly while it's in TGP and the Radar's ending up well below the normal down elevation it can go)
  2. the server (ED's server) doesn't want to acknowledge the Hello I am up Packet. That's the 503 error. The only way to fix it seems to be to 'restart' the server, which i'm presuming gets a 'new' token from the Authentication/Master List server and resets everything.. But it shouldn't be happening full stop. Between this and the AI not working properly bugs I've got the server process restarting every 6 hrs when before it could go 12 - 24 with out a restart.
  3. yeah it NEEDS to be fixed baddly.. it's closing airfields etc. Nothing like being slammed into the ground or ripped apart because you have a 1,000ft high wake..

The issue is that we get Session Check failed 503 right which should be the smoking gun for Eagle Dynamics to look at their end and the logs.. because 503 Error normally, note normally is a service not avalible etc. Error, I can have both servers throwing that error left right and centre and remote in, open google chrome and go to both digitalcombatsimulator.com and forums.eagle.ru, tracert will show no issues, ping will be the normal amounts etc. If you can 'catch' it when it happens with a non server instance you'll notice that you get a FLOOD of unable to authenticate errors when you try and log in at the same time. *shrugs* the only way I've worked out to get around it is to restart the TGW servers if some one in discord or the like goes 'Servers aren't showing up in the list, but hey we can direct connect to them'.
  5. Yeah getting frustratingly annoying to have to restart servers to get them to show up in The list again once this happens. And it's not a routing error hells because that should effect all servers on the same box, given their route should be the same, when this happens you can have 1 sever remain on or simply restarting the server has it reappear in the list. There is something majorly broken some were in the net link, either in the dcs server or in the maste list server, the 503 is as I said the error given by a http server for an internal server error, and of course it will 'timeout' on a 503 it's never getting the answer it wants from the master server because server error.
  6. Just figured would report this one, latest Open Beta I noticed when checking through the server a bunch of these errors showing up in the log, i've not seen them in there before..   7. Eldur, Microsoft deliver changelogs quite regularly actually, for example https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/4507453/windows-10-update-kb4507453 is the change log for KB4507453. I agree with Thudster some extra info on some of the Change log items would be nice given like him I'm wondering what 'Kneeboard is now working' is meant to mean given the kneeboard was working fine last time I used it last Open Beta.. :/

Mine were certainly not running on the same WebUI, actually one of the big things that I double checked first off was ports not being in conflict, a 503 error is normally an internal server error on a HTTP request. Right at the moment for at least the last 3 hours both servers have been showing up in the list with no NET errors to DCS, but last night for example both were reset at 6pm Australian Eastern Standard, and by 10pm both were giving the HTTP error and not showing up on the master list. As both are running dedicated the -webgui isn't even used as per Chiz's comments and even if it was, the autoexec is showing main server webgui_port = 8085 second server webgui_port = 8095 so there is certainly no conflict happening there. Both are on different server ports etc. etc.

Will try again later. 2019-07-16 12:13:07.896 ERROR NET: Session check failed: 503 According to the logs, the server was connected fine for the first hour or so then this.. for 3 hours so far.. despite the fact that I can remote to the server and go to Digitalcombatsimulator.com or the forums or the like.... (with out knowing what to do a trace to no idea there) i've not changed anything at all but this started happening about 2 open beta patches ago around about 2.5.5's release And after restarting one of the servers IT is working fine, connecting and talkign with ED servers they are on the same machine, so something is wrong.

I noticed this after a bunch of the players whom use the TGW servers contacted me to ask if there was anything I could do to fix it, as they could connect by a direct connection but the server was not displaying in the list. On checking both server instances were up and running 100% fine, both were accessable from external sources (as I'm certainly not in the data center they are in nor is any one else) and one server had been up for over a week, but neither the DCS Server list on 'My Server' nor the main list showed either server, until I did a restart of both. Now I'll admit that I messed up and forgot to grab the logs BEFORE I Restarted the server which means that this will likely end up with a [need logs] or something with it :/ but there was I believe a Token or simular error message happening in amongst the logs. Is it possible that there is a token sync error or something happening between servers and the main match making/master list server if that server hickups or something that prevents the servers from then being able to display on the list? I will keep an eye out and see if I can see it happen again though I've just moved one server to 6 hr rather then 18 hr restarts and another to 24 rather then just when crash.. But i'm going to presume I'm not the only server host that this is happening to. Again I'll note the server itself is functional, accessable and working 100% correctly, you can get into it etc when this happens, it just is not showing up on the master server list at all. Also is there a way we can have it so that servers can save like the last 5 logs etc.. That way if things like this are happening and we restart a server we don't accidently overwrite a log that might have information that can be used to help solve the issue. -Rob.

  12. Make it an offical item and then make it a server/mission optional flag for Multiplayer use.. problem solved. Though honestly the I don't want it argument is BS just because you don't want it doesn't mean that a lot of others don't as well, there is nothing ever stopping you, yourself ever using it etc. But lets face some very hard facts here.. DCS is a 'Game' I know we call it a Simulator, that's the Genre of 'Game' that it falls into. We use it for 'Entertainment' and a lot of the time even in Multiplayer you may not be able to get a RIO full stop. Jesters great but he sucks at a lot of things, give me a Rio any day, but saying 'oh if you don't like it fly another jet', that's not a valid argument you can make either because every one else has paid their money just as much as you have and simply because your against something again doesn't make your point the only one. The Cat is already at times a very hands on bird for the pilot I don't think any one here would say otherwise, unless you have the alt hold on your CONSTANTLY flying the bird, ontop of that if Jester is your RIO your also typically doing far more monitoring of the Radar then you would with a Real RIO.. because Jester, your having to tell him things using the command wheel etc, being able to 'Slew' the Targeting pod and tell it to lase etc through a set of keybinds when you have jester is just well... common sense, i mean how else are HB honestly going to do it? And yes I would love to hear even HB come out and say how they plan on this system to work for a few reasons: 1. The whole point of the TGP is to let you strike any target, not just preplanned ones, it was what allowed the 'Cat' to actually be allowed to do true CAS, prior to it's fitting they were basically not allowed anywhere near any troops after it was fit even the Navy pilots mentioned that they basically never left the boat with out it. (honestly there's a really good 70 page magazine write up on the bomcat it's an awesome read if you want the history) 2. If your stuck using the Jester wheel to search for targets then ah.. how exactly? With out basically making Jester an even worse 'cheat'? then the pilot controlling it? I mean even if you did something like a Radial with 'Scan for Targets' right.. how is he going to know if a 'bridge' is your target? or which specific building etc? I mean the Cat's Co-ords don't exactly allow 0.1m accuracy rather 'ball park'. 3. Why is the pilot controlling it bad, other then the argument that of 'But its a 2 person plane and another group won't add an to their plane (which could likely very much be they don't know how to code it etc.. I mean we don't know if HB have to 'share' the tech after all it wouldn't be the first time that 3rd parties don't share their tech within the same environment). Right now As the Cat stands by HB themselves you can fly the Cat with 1 HUMAN player, because they like 99% of the rest of us realised that your not going to always be able to get another HUMAN who wants to sit in the backseat. We already all know that 2 Humans are typically way, way better then a Player and Jester, watch any pilot who has a human rio and you can see that, why? because the RIO is taking a lot of the work away from the pilot so he can fly and fight while they find and track. By adding the TGP slew your not making the Pilots life easier in Multiplayer.. your making it harder, their eyes now have to be DOWN looking at the repeater rather then OUT keeping an eye for Missile Launches, Bandits etc.. Eg they aren't getting an advantage that's for certain. All it does is allow 1 person to fly the jet when they can't get a human rio and at least use it's abilities. And again if it's such a 'big' deal and I don't see why it should be, make it a server/mission option to 'lock out' Pilot TGP use.
  13. Can't say if it's a mp only or not and possibly been reported but when you do a rearm refuel drag the fuel to 100% the external tanks are not being refueled. Nor are they refilled during the rearm. Currently the only way to get full externals is to actually remove the tanks completely hit ok. Wait for the cycle to be done, then rearm again and put them back on. Steps to reproduce 1. Load into cat put bags on. 2. Fly around until under 16000 pounds of fuel. 3 land, rearm and refuel. 4. Notice that you only get internal fuel load not the 20k you should. Would be nice to see this fixed

If dcs doesn't error log it check event viewer, windows will likely have an application error report for the crash, the F14 crashes I've had seem to be NTDLL issues if that helps at all Heatblur though at least 1 was 'unkown' on 5e faulting module info. But given how unstable 2.5.5 is at times honestly it's hard to tell if it's the F14 at times or DCS itself.

The cat I find is well a lot like she was commented on by pilots.. hard to kill with one hit but temperamental once she takes that hit.. we have this habit as others have pointed out of thinking oh aim120 instant kill because of movies etc. The thing is that's not the case Raytheon and the like might wish it was but it's not. We might, might see this effect happen more and more once the 'new' damage models come into play as well, but a lot of the time if we were talking real life this is what you are likely to find happens. Missile is launched, pilot does everything he can to avoid, missile homes and either hits the airframe or proximities and either way explodes. Now depending on were that happens your going to have either a nice 'hole' made in your plane that is likely on a direct hit at least the size of a helmet or so, and then all the shrapnel from that, if not your going to on a pro hit be peppered with shrapnel. Now if that direct hit was on a wing or structural member that is thin enough n under enough stress then yes you are going to see break up and bad day.. if it was directly into a fuel tank or a weapon system again bad day likely with a nice big secondary explosion.. other wise nope. Your like,y to find the bird flying still.... at least for a time. On the other hand the pilot who took the hit will either notice as many a combat veteran has a bang and then either nothing... because it hit in a non-vital space and he's birds like eh I don't care or he's gonna start seeing cautions or other issues pop up that make his life hell n possibly means reaching and pulling the lets vacate the office option. The Cat Heat Blur have done seems to do s good job of this modelling, far better then some other jets, the Hog and viggen is actually the only others I think that really come close to modelling the way damage should happen realistically and on the hog even it doesn't do it 100%.. hits that shouldnt impact it at all will cause fuel leaks etc simply because the new damage model isn't in (and as far a we know isn't for the cat either). But i can say that 75% of the time a hit from 1 missile will leave any cat I have been in either as pilot or rio combat ineffective, normally because the Rios stations dead along with the radar etc. especially on a front hit, I've lost one or two engines and been dead stick about 2 minutes after and I hon3stly can't say how many times I have watched myself spin down on 1 wing until the rio punches us out. Often killed by a single hit from either: A player in a hornet or su27, or red ai birds or sams. And no doubt heatblurs still tweaking the damage model etc as well I mean it's not 'released yet' either.. but to say it doesn't take enough damage, can not agree at all it's more that it takes damage more realistically on a systems level not just an arbitrary oh you hit 0 hp your boom.
  16. had mission editor open had to go away from the actual gaming PC came back DCS had just closed itself. Checked for a crash log nothing generated. Check in Event viewer and I've a NTDLL.dll crash error. Stable is fine just the Open Beta doing it.

Think what he means nine is that rather then the 'there's been a build issue and We are working through it, can't say more then that right now but I will update as soon as I have more info thanks for understanding.' post being buried in here.. there should be a post in there *points to what you just linked* So ppl aren't trying to hunt through forums looking... least that's what I think he's saying n I'd kinda agree it'd be a lot easier then going ok it's getting on no patch huh etc.. but I also get the reluctance given what we the community normally are like with delays. Will keep an eye out for update though, hopefully nothing too major looking forward to the Vr updates..l

There was an server hick up about 830pm AUEDT tp about 945pm even the offical website was throwing a settings.php error, n the like, then with nineline saying something went wrong with the build I wonder if the two are related, who knows.. But yeah you couldn't get dcs to auth for a while because of it.
  20. Nineline posted in the patch notes thread above that the buildhas has an issue n there working on it... why it's in chit chat and not some place more easy to see by everyone is beyond me, but .......

The issue of late is 'hey look we will show you this and say this' and then 24 hours later change your mind, and then actually make the direct comment that 'due to another aircraft' we couldn't test on this one despite this one having been paid for by a lot of people already most of whom are expecting an update this week...... Time and time again Both Nineline & Wags have been 'those working on the Hornet/Hornet Development etc are not in any way affected by the other products we are working on' now no doubt your talking programmers when you say this but that's not how your user base sees it when you say other products DO NOT have an impact on the Hornet we expect that to mean every part as implied when people ask if you working on X or Y is going to slow dev on the Hornet and you say No it won't because we have dedicated teams working on each. If that is the case that should include the Close Beta testing team however Wag's own post says that was not the case: You can't have it both ways though, you can't say that other projects don't have an impact on the current Early Access Development of things like the Hornet and then have things like this happen with out your user base starting to wonder what the heck is going on and calling you on it, either the development of other air frames and products do not have an impact on the development of other Air frames in which case today's 'err its not coming out' should not happen or development of other air frames does have an impact. Either way Ok so the JSOW's need some more time cooking that's fine but being told in a post that we would get these next OB and then 24 hrs later reading Oh sorry nope no your not even getting the Charlie model we just showed working, that burns more of the good will you've built up over the years, especially given that of late Hornet updates are becoming further and further apart. I get it though the Early Access card will be thrown up as it always is, but that doesn't make it right either.
  22. Yet at no point was it said that the carrier com upgrade for atc was going to be 'exclusive' to the new carrier either wags. Things like functioning case 1,2 and 3 operations should be at least part of the base game, heck the communityhas programmed these functions already butt cant you're them into the proper atc system because there is no api to do so beyond the f10 other. What had people up in arms here is not that you are selling the nimitz as a new module but the fact you are selling what is a core and currently very broken part if the sim by every post made as a module only fix. In more then one post and even vid you, yourself have commented oh that will be fixed or avaliable with the upcoming atc rework. That lead most of, if not all to believe that case 1,2,3 operations and atc functions would be part of the core game and that the new deck crew etc would be part of the new carrier. This is the reason people are upset, not that the carriers payware but that something which should be part of the core game. Suddenly its hey you want an ai lso... pay up x. When that should be part of the base carrier functions that come with the game itself. You're basically going to force those of us who design missions or run mp servers to have to go brother ha but it or don't join or the like. Don't you see what that is going to do to a lot of groups etc? It's 1.5/2.0 all over again only this time it's not tech updates that eveyone will eventually get but a module and one that lets face it you know full well the F18 and F14 pilots want/need the lso talk down for even on the current stennis. Please split the atc upgrade out you can leave the rest but the atc upgrades need to be a core sim upgrade avalible to the existing Nimitz and Stennis and presumably forrestal classes.
  23. you can re-center where DCS's 'center' is once in sim with the UI bounds 'center HMD' option, so what i'd suggest for you to do is this.. 1. with out the headset on your friend go into the Control settings, click the tab to get to UI and then bind something to the Recenter HMD option 2. quit and load the game in with your mate in the headset. 3. once it's loaded hit the recenter button.. boom were ever he is looking is now 'Forwards' and the ui menu etc should be right there.

Is there a chance that your Power Supply isn't supplying your 1080 enough power? Did you seat the 1080 correctly given that you've done a motherboard/cpu update Did you make certain that both power connectors are on? Also make certain in your nvidia settings that 'Use Max Performance' is set. So currently unless we do the exact steps the JDAMS cause an infinite loop error is basically what I'm getting from reading this? can some one confirm that the correct steps to use the JDAMS with out entering loop crash territory is: 1. Set up JDAMS in PP mode. 2. Make certain QTY Station and Step station match. 3. Hit pickle 4. Watch weapon drop Drop. 5. if 2 isn't set then 3 will cause a freeze? And I'm not reporting it i'm asking if those are the correct work around / steps atm so i can at least let the people I fly with who don't come and check the forums know.
