    Memory

Hi, Not strickly a bug or problem but wasn't sure where else to post this. I have a 32bit Vista system with 4gb RAM Unfortunately not in any position to ugrade CPU etc but could possibly look to add more memory. Assuming I can (Toshiba satellite p300 laptop) will the programme benefit from it? (I know Windows has the 4gb issue) I only use BS2 (A10 frame rates are poor on my old system) in new DCSW 1.2.0 If memory increase wouldn't help - any other suggestions please to gain a few fps? I already have eveything on low or off and don't fancy messing with bios options. Kind regards, Gary
  2. To give bluedrake the benefit of the doubt here, it was not my impression that they wanted cheaper software (although their example implies this unfortunately) My reading of the post was that it was more a suggestion to try and make things a little easier. Perhaps an alternative suggestion would be to give everyone the ability to accumulate credits in their accounts. So for example I could deposit say £10 per month into my account (up to a limit of say £100) so that as soon as a module is released I would be able to purchase and play. Not necessary for me - but might be really useful for those on a very tight budget. Just my suggestion of what I think bluedrake was getting at. Kind regards, Gary
  3. Just wanted to add my thanks too. Great job
  4. Thanks Nate,
  5. Supports 32bit? Been through change log but dont see a mention Regards, Gary
  6. Can you confirm this will work on a 32bit system too please? Regards, Gary
  7. Nate, Any chance we can have an updated BS2 manual please? Mainly interested in the radios section (which as stated refers to BS1) Also, Can you say if JTAC will be introduced into BS2? Asking because during some of the quick missions I've flown, the briefing tells me they are available and their freq. Kind regards, Gary
  8. Just checked and can log into main server so obviously has been done "internally" so to speak - just not been added to my account as yet. Thanks again for your help everyone - I will keep checking my account occasionally (but no rush - understand more important things to deal with) Happy for my ticket to be closed in the meantime. Kind regards, Gary
  9. The problem is it does not appear anywhere on my account No idea what you mean by master server??
  10. All, Thanks for your kind help. No mad rush - just want to be advised when the serial is in my account (in case I need to reinstall etc) And to clarify - I do actually have the serial (was sent by PM by donor and I have used it to upgrade already) Thanks again all, Regards, Gary
  11. I amby no means proficient although I can take off, fly to a location and land on pads at FARPS etc (even managed the back of a boat once!) However, I read this thread and thought id give FD a go. Absoluetely unflyable in my opinion with this on. (I have a standard Thrustmaster X stick and use twist grip for rudder) Regards, Gary
  12. Not seen this mentioned on this thread but I find the trim reset command helps me a lot. Think it has been said that just plain trimming can accumulate errors over a period of time? Regards, Gary
  13. Nate, Thanks again.. Seen the A10c mod for clickable comms menu which also removes players own voice (which I like - dont want to hear me saying anything) Does anyone know if this works for BS2 or any other radio use mods? Regards, Gary
  14. Nate, Thanks for the prompt reply - much appreciated. That explains it then thanks. (on 124.00 I assume?) Regards, Gary
  15. Jona, No email other than the one asking for donor to raise ticket - which had done and recieved confirmation it was completed. Been to downloads too on my account and no serial number recorded there. Regards, Gary
  16. I have been away from BS for a while but back on it now. (mainly due to improved comms features) Installed BS2 and so far having a blast re-learning everything I had quickly forgotten. I have searched quiet a lot on the forum and website (been through the manuals too) and can't figure it all out regarding AI radio. Read that you can listen into AI chatter now so thought id give this a go. I created a very simple mission with me on the runway for take off and another two units due to depart and return a few mins later. Get in game and contact tower -131.00 (for take off clearence) and only get the option to start engines, which are already running! Never mind press the key to request and then get you are cleared for take. Get 5mabove the ground and he is telling me - constantly not cleared for take off! Anyway carry on and wait to hear AI calls for take off clearence etc and get nothing. Ah I thought, maybe need to be on the common freq of 124.00 to hear all this. Still nothing! What am I doing wrong please? And why the big boxes across the top of the screen stating what you are doing?? Kind regards, Gary
  17. Not sure of this ticket thingy really. Waited a week to get the reply and still none the wiser. The original ticket 14001 was raised by someone who wanted to transfer a serial number to my account - subsequently he has had confirmation this has been completed - yet I don't see the serial number anywhere (not totally sure where exactly it will be on my account?) I raised ticket number 14015 simply to ask how, or if, Iwould be notifed (or should I just keep checking my account hoping it would turn up) that the transfer had taken place. Response I got today simply said ask donator to raise a ticket!!!! (which as stated previously has already been done and confirmed back to them as complete) Yet I still don't see the transfered serial on my account anywhere. Am I just looking in the wrong place? Kind Regards, Gary
  18. I dont want to set too many hares running but where are you in Kent? Orpington here so might have a lookif convienient Kind Regards, Gary
  19. Question for Wags really, Did anything in this thread help develop DCSW (or module) ? Did you fire up F4 (or BMS etc) to confirm the claims or help improve our sim? Kind Regards, Gary
