  1. Better missile and allow to carry more missiles and more external fuel tanks compared to the 530D. AdA must have been very happy when they got it !
  2. It can, as IR seeker can lock the target without being slaved to radar lock (if bandit is on Magic seeker LOS for example). Slave option is really useful in turning fight where you don't to wait for the bandit to be in your Magic Seeker LOS before shooting. You put the bandit on your lift vector with radar in Vertical Scan, then when you get a radar lock, you slave your Magic and you can shoot (if in range of course). This with the high Instantaneous Turn rate of the Mirage 2000C should give you the opportunity to shoot first in WVR after the merge
  3. It's right in the middle of the stick in your pic, you can't miss it :D It's mainly used to navigate with Autopilot like on the Mirage 2000C
  4. There's a huge difference in the cockpit: -5 naming comes from the new cockpit built with 5 displays (VTH/VTM/VTB and 2 VTL). The Radar control panel is also gone, new RDY Radar can be fully controlled from HOTAS commands Cockpit labels are in English. Weapon Wise, depends on the -5F version we'll get, but if it's the latest one we should have indeed MICA EM/IR. First -5F were equipped with Magic 2 like the M2000C Regarding FM, should be the same than the 2000C. The 2000-5F aren't newly build 2000-5 planes like for export. They are upgraded M2000C.
  5. Which french forum are you refering to?
  6. They also mention they will have a flyable 2000-5 by summer 2020 I will just buy anything related to mirage 2000 :D
  7. Ok, thanks! Cause the Discord post pasted in the initial post is 6 months old (at least):
  8. That's a 6 months old statement, and he mentioned that it will EVENTUALLY happen. I'm really hoping that it will happen. Would be a smart move from Razbam as they would benefit from the work already done on the M2000C that can be carried over to the -5 (FM, engine/ hydraulics/fuel/electric system,A-G weapons/Canon...) and from partnership with AdA that would cut time spent to gather datas. There is also only one new weapon to work on (MICA EM/IR) Compared to the work that would be needed to do a Mirage 2000D, i think this module could be done quite quickly. I guess that all Mirage 2000C lovers would buy the Mirage 2000-5, so that module would sell quite well for less efforts than the ones needed for a totally new module. They might also benefit from the work on the Harrier around MFCD/Datalink handling/coding So it just makes sense Razbam :) Go ahead ! :D
  9. From what i've read, Canon and up to 4xGBU-12. They fly with Mirage 2000D who are doing the spotting. Mirage 2000C provide A/G Canon support that the Mirage 2000D can't provide (yet) as well as additionnal GBU-12 load. They are not equipped with any LTD/R or LST device as far as i know.
  10. Same issue noticed several time on Kobuleti/Tbilisi for example while at parking or when landing. Only happened in multiplayer though. So currently, we'are just disabling Wake turbulence in the mission and in local setting when flying in multiplayer.
  11. Indeed use of the ruler in the map can be a pain sometimes for such things. But even with precise IP coordinate (and no INS drift) and accurate offset data, IP Bombing is at best as precise as a standard CCRP run can be in the Mirage. No to mention that, as Automatic Release doesn't work on this mode currently, you have to do a manual pickle at the right time. Also, it's best used with GBU (if possible) to get the most accuracy out of it. While you're in the mission editor, just take the Coordinate of your target :D. Use of radial/distance is more likely to be used with a JTAC on the field giving you a heading/distance from it's position i guess. Except for that and cases where a standard CCRP designation can't be done (meteo/threats...) i guess BAD is mostly use for Navigation purpose like for Holding Pattern, Rejoin...
  12. It takes like 30 sec to set it up in the PCN You have plenty of time to do it during the 8mn INS alignment :)
  13. N stands for Nucleaire D stands for Diversifié -5 stands for the 5 displays (VTH, VTM, VTB and 2 DDI on the sides) in the Mirage 2000-5 I don't know what the -9 stands for in the Mirage 2000-9, but it's a 2000-5 modified for export, like the 2000-5 Mk2

    PCA/HUD updates

When having selected a AG Weapon on PCA, and unselected RS on PCA, if i click on PIP HOTAS switch AFT, PCA/HUD do return on NAV mode, but then when selecting PIP HOTAS switch FWD, RS is selected back on PCA. I would have thought that unselection of RS would be part of release parameters saved with Hotas switch AFT. Hotas switch Aft does saves some release parameters like selected AG Canon fire rate. But doesn't do it for RS selection, for any AG Weapon Bug or feature?
  15. You have to ask Ground Crew to either mount Visor or NVG Then use toggle function to switch on/off the mounted device Just tested it, works fine Apparently you can't have both mounted and switch between each in flight (might come from AdA feedback) As i never use the visor, that will be an easy choice for me

    PCA/HUD updates

No, hence the reference to the first post where new PCA-HUD logic is explained. Beside the fact that now you can't select any weapon on PCA if Gun on Magic mode is selected on HOTAS Throttle command, the way to fire a 530 is the same than the one described in the manual, hence the reference to it i guess. To sum up, handy way to use A/A Weapons: First, select 530 on PCA while not having the Hotas Gun or Magic mode selected Then: -Select A/A Gun with GUN Select Hotas Command -Select Magic with MAGIC Select Hotas Command -Select 530 with PCA Select Hotas Command For reminder 'MAG' PCA mode doesn't select MAGIC: 4. MAG button on the PCA does NOT select Magic. It performs other functions: enabling the missile and starting MAV search.
  17. First post in the pca/hud update thread

    PCA after Update

It has been introduced in previous update. From previous update log: DCS M-2000c by RAZBAM PCA/HUD logic modified. Master Arm functionality modified. MAGIC and CAN (AA guns) can only be selected by HOTAS. Special modes switch functionality modified. RWR Codes updated to include J-11A and F-14B. Please see notes in ED Forums to learn about new PCA/HUD logic

    PCA after Update

It is detailed in the pca/hud update thread just above yours, so not that deeply hiden
  20. Do you have issue communication with wingmen in other modules also ? You can ask for a Flight Check In in the radio menu, all wingmen should respond. Just to make sure communication with wingmen is ok.
  21. Just tested it on Stable version. I gave Flight the "Engage Bandits" order on UHF radio, canal 251.000 Mhz (Preset 1, the one selected at mission start). Wingmans spotted the ennemy, giving regular BRA.Wingmans 3 and 4 engaged the ennemy and they destroyed 2 x F5 and 3 x F4, i destroyed the last F4 but wingmans 3 and 4 were engaging him. They did wait for the merge to engage though Wingman 2 stayed with me and didn't engage the ennemy, was more supporting me. Seems fair to me, not like engaging with other human player, but fair. All 4 wingmens didn't stay in formation with me during the fight.
  22. The next what ? Module developped by Razbam ? Probably not Next mirage developped by Razbam ? Would make sense, as some of the work done on system and flight model on M2000C can be used for the 2000-5. Having contacts within the AdA would help also Mirage 2000D would be a lot more work to do for example.
  23. That's planned :D Waiting to see feedbacks on the new VR headsets Nice to hear you guys can see a real difference from CV1
  24. Ok, i'll try the mission when i'll be back home. It's a long time since i played it, but last time i did, wingmens did engage the targets. Then i'll be able to give you more specific instructions if it's working for me.
  25. Very nice! Very cool to have such videos on your progress with the radar. Keep'em coming :D
