  1. Static trucks, tanks, and cargo cannot be set on a flatbed without it still be showing sitting on the ground. A pre-unload view that would place the equipment properly in a natural elevated position is needed. Of course this would greatly enhance missions if trains could carry equipment and show that properly too. Since trains are not visual to all in multiplayer and conform to way point rules in the ME, this fix would be awesome too.
  2. Well I think the Normandy map is quite good. There is a lot of detail and of course things will appear different depending on your altitude, speed, weather, etc... In fact I recently posted a scenario mission in the "users" files set in the post Normandy invasion time frame. Each time you load the mission a different task is presented and it's set for both single and multi player. Normandy Summer of 1944 Here's the link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3310523/ Enjoy! There's so much you can do with it besides just flying the task.... and now working on a Channel map scenario. I have no complaints for the maps. My biggest wish is for the moving trains to be implemented so that in multi player all participants will see them. There's a great deal of track and train stations that can be utilized in missions if this aspect of the maps is added. It was so much part of ground attack history and when trains are able to be observed by all, the missions will become that much more realistic. Sincerely, Skyspin
  3. Notice the trains! Skyspin
  4. Well the trains run in the new Channel map and there's plenty of track there...but....still cannot give them waypoint commands and I'm sure no multi player visibility (Please correct me if I'm mistaken). Can tell there's been a lot of work put into the modeling and train routes. Hoping that now this fine AI will be upgraded to useable for all to see.... Thanks, Skyspin
  5. This can be a good thread. The SCUD can now be added to create some very interesting missions and can be mesmerizing to watch the launch. Explosions with fire and smoke can be implemented in the trigger zones where the SCUD impacts. A great addition now. I have not been able to get in to move between way points on a route yet (maybe that's not implemented)...? The launch is awesome! However it is very quick and unrealistic... When slowed down to .25 SPEED it becomes very accurately portrayed at launch... then it should be accelerated up as normal... Night launches are spectacular... Skyspin
  6. The P-47 What a marvelous addition! Now more than ever there needs to be visible working trains in multi player. Watch any combat air to ground footage of the Normandy invasion and you will most certainly see air attacks on supply trains. Looking forward to the implementation. Sincerely, Skyspin
  7. Yes, it would be awesome and already a head start with several modules. See the discussion already here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=270558 Skyspin
  8. It was "Great" to see a strafing scene of a "moving" train in the about the 2:40 mark. Cannot tell if that was from a P-51 or the new P-47... Skyspin
  9. Very good point. So depending on what operations are in use, there should be a choice of what recovery radio ops will be used..and grading still in effect...
  10. Yes! What a "Great" addition. A map of North and South Vietnam with pertinent portions of Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand and of course the Gulf of Tonkin would be a fantastic scenario. So much historically could be simulated and with a good start already on pertinent modules this looks doable although it would definitely be a super major project. I fully support the development. Sincerely, Skyspin
  11. NineLine wrote: Excellent. As of now, modeling I believe is outstanding, however it's just not working fully in multi player. I have shared and uploaded 12 missions to the users files and would have included train scenarios in a majority... but its just not workable.(I have many more not uploaded). And yes with the release of the"P-47" along with the P-51 and the other WW2 fighter and bombers including the Axis Powers, visible trains in missions and campaigns will certainly fill a big void of expected scenarios. Thanks NineLine for your help. Sincerely, Skyspin
  12. Nothing in the patch today mentioned or looking forward on the train situation in multi player.. Skyspin
  13. philstyle wrote: Maybe we will see this completed. Also thanks for your GREAT Videos. All well done. I'm sure you'll do one on trains. Skyspin
  14. Keeping this topic going I just wanted to mention that with such a great network of tracks, rail yards, and models and which are available in all the maps, I want to ask a moderator or developer if there is a plan or effort to make the system viable and visible to all in multi player. Sincerely, Skyspin
  15. CASE 1 is normally zip lip anyway. Skyspin
  16. The uses and implementations are almost infinite in mission and campaign development. Transportation of troops or supplies to and from a battlefield front, retreating troops, advancing troops and equipment, ... the list goes on. Certainly a scenario dynamic. Plus they add so much realism. Check it out by adding to a single player mission.. Sincerely, Skyspin
  17. I would first like for everyone to be able to see the trains chugging down the tracks...moving and visible...period. Sincerely, Skyspin
  18. I want to keep this thread alive. I think the trains are modeled very well for use in Normandy and elsewhere. But as only the host can see in multi player they become useless. How magnificent it would be if this problem could be fixed so that all players could see as they travel up and down the tracks. They add a "HUGE" dimension to missions and are an unbelievable enhancement. Please consider making them available to be visible in normal fashion to all in multi player. Sincerely, Skyspin
  19. I got the same thing from McAfee. Skyspin
  20. Hello Everybody, There is a new mission, The Big NO now posted in the series that began with The Prelude. The link in the Users Files is:https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3308080/ This is primarily a multi player mission but does well in single player. There are variable mission tasks for the F-14, F-16, and F-18 assigned randomly. This is the 10th mission leading up to the planned invasion, beginning with missions that started with"The Prelude". Feeling very confident now and ready to give the full scale invasion order, the President gathered the Joint Chiefs together to announce his decision. When asked their input he got a resounding "NO". All were in agreement that more was to be done, especially against the new ultra sophisticated installed radar on Absard mountain that covers a much wider defensive airspace . "Make it happen" was all hie commanded. Conduct airstrikes and air patrols on coastal IRAN inland to facilities protected by ground to air radar, including the major Iranian installation on Absard mountain referred to by NATO forces as "SAM Mountain". Target tasks to be implemented on moving and stationary targets. Sincerely, Skyspin
  21. Hello Everybody, There is a new mission, THE PRESIDENT'S CHUCKLE now posted in the series that began with The Prelude. The link in the Users Files is:https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306835/ This is primarily a multi player mission but does well in single player. There are mission tasks for the F-14, F-16, and F-18 assigned randomly. Sincerely, Skyspin
  22. I like the idea of a C-130 and a C-2. They would add a whole new dimension to mission dynamics. Plus, each could have a shared cockpit where a copilot slot could be added for multiplayer. Carrier trapping in the C-2 with a buddy copilot would be beyond anything we are doing now other than riding backseat in the F-14B. Skyspin
  23. Nothing posted for awhile but is there any thoughts or possible plans for a Vietnam war map? Thinking North and South Vietnam and parts of Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand. I know it would be a huge undertaking due to it's size but what an addition that would be! Many of that era aircraft are available or in the works so that fit is possible too. Skyspin
  24. What to do? You'll never make it to the fleet until you've qualified at night doing the CASE III.. Master this..https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3301552/ Skyspin
  25. Hello Everybody. I have listed and corrected the dates of the missions in "The Prelude" series to show the proper chronological order. Updated in the Users files. 1. The Prelude 2.
