  3. You can supply ED log and crash dumps for this bug until the cows come home .. but it will do no good, they do not have any usefull info in them Perhaps you could +1 this request for better logging https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=195223
  4. I had a go at changing diff cloud values in editor and then went into DCS to see how they looked when researching this It is a pity it doesnt match better between metar and DCS Metar cloud cover in 1/8ths DCS cloud cover in 1/10ths I wonder if how it works now is a bug or ommisson ?

  8. Thanks I had not considered that, the airport I use is 5M asl I see that batumi is 32 m Did you notice how weird clouds are ? 8 = a decent amount of clouds with a lot of clear patches 9 = total could cover 10 = total cloud cover Seems that the 9 value is a bit too high ?

Yes I would like to understand and work out how the cyclone stuff works Does it take the weather settings and then add to them, or does cyclone over ride everything as in weather tab does nothing when cyclone is enabled ? Getting the data was not too hard, but tuning it to fit into DCS World ... still tweaking it a bit ... so that people are happy that is another matter Like my first post asked, how real is too real ? If it is totaly overcast low cloud you can see anything on the ground when flying above it Also DCS imposes limits eg min cloud thickness is 200m My system appears to work on v 1.5 and v 2 of DCS World

  11. In this first test iteration I use static system from a supplied airport I honestly do not understand how the cyclone system works, but might look into it later
  12. DCS cannot do dynamic (weather changes as mission progresses) I change the mission weather before mission start by reading weather from a real airports data

  14. I have created a script that can grab real weather and then put values into a DCS World mission. I am looking some community feedback For example if the real weather was full cloud cover at 500m height would you be happy enough having to deal flying trying to hit targets in such conditions ? Trials on our server have some being happy and other complaining How real is too real ?

  20. Our server runs 1.5.7.9459 version of DCS Any version higher than that and it would fall over more often than a once legged man in an arse kicking contest

With problems like the weapons.dll game crashes plaguing server hosters for over a month now ...... .... with no resolution in sight And this particular issue being very hard for ED to fix, even with lots of supplied dcs.logs, crash dumps, tracks from the servers that are hosting and even tacview recordings. With all this, it is still not giving the dev team enough info to help narrow down what is going wrong. What about a more detailed debug log?, this could be invoked by starting dcs.exe with -debug This could create another log (or even add more info to the current log), which could then in turn be returned to ED for analysis when stuff goes wrong. It doesn't have to be text it could even some sort of binary output eg BIS have a -netlog param That when the server is running it outputs debug data to a file (not human readable by us, just numbers etc) so if there are issues BIS can examine it I am not asking for a debug build, just give us users a better way of reporting back issues that help you find problems faster. Help us to help you After all, we all want a better product ?
  22. Nope its been a month living with this and ED still have no idea what causes it ED are trying to organise an MP event where the will have a "special" version of DCS to debug and see why it crashes
  23. What skill level were the AI on your test ? I think ours are set to random so some will be better than others
