reported Broken Fuel capacity after damage
secretcode replied to FlippingGerman's topic in Bugs and Problems
I just had a similar problem. I got battle damaged and a Fuel Leak, managed to land, shutdown the aircraft, repair and rearm. The rearming was taking a lot of time and I could hear the sound of the aircraft being refueled. It took so long that I decided to startup the plane and check the fuel gauge, that is when I realized I had 24,000lb of fuel with no external tanks. The plane was fine although I had L FUEL HOT and R FUEL HOT errors on the left DDI -
Is there any way to bind specific jester actions ? (Request)

If this is not a problem then I truly hope HB allow us to bind every jester options. -

That is awesome then. I hope HB do something about the bindings of jester. But I'll start considering vaicom as an option. -

I have one more question, Can you personalize how do you execute the commands? For example, do you only say "Change Radar 100" or can you change it so it feels more natural to something like "Jester change the radar to 100" -

I've been looking at it and looks so awesome. But there is one thing I didn't like about it and it is that it hides the jester wheel for ever. I would like to have the voice commands but also the ability to open the wheel so I can access the available TACANS in the mission for example. Or the menu that shows you the frecuency of the tankers. -
I been learning the F-14, and it is awesome but flying as a single guy is very complex as we all know. So I'm using Voice Attack to talk to jester and ask him to do things like "Change range to 100", "Select Waypoint 2", "Ground Stabilize", etc. The way I made it possible was making A LOT of macros in Voice Attack so that when I say "Stabilize Ground" VA executes: Press A (Open Jester Menu) Press LCtrl + 7 (Select TID Ground Stabilize) Press LCtrl + 1 (Select 15s) This works fine in some cases but then I have a huge problem. If I select A/G mode, and then say: "Stabilize Ground" the command executes but the menu of Jester now is different because now it shows me the menu options of Jester for air to ground. So If I am on Air to Ground, and tell jester with Voice Attack to "Stabilize Ground" it will execute the same commands as before but now it will eject my selected weapons! Because the menu of jester is not the same when you are air to ground than when you are air to air. Press A (Open Jester Menu. Now it opens the A/G Menu) Press LCtrl + 7 (Jettison Selected Weapons) Press LCtrl + 1 ( ) So I would like to know If there is any way to bind specific actions. For example bind Ctrl + 1, so jester can Change Radar to Range While Scan or Ctrl + 9 to Stabilize Ground, or select active ordnance, or any option in the Jester menu. I know maybe HB doesn't want it to be this way because then people might just bind everything and fly the tomcat without needing a RIO. But having a jester menu is the same, just that the process takes longer and people like me who want to use voice commands for a more realistic interaction can't do so, or have many problems in the process. I don't know if HB will read my message, but please allow us to bind any action in the controls or at least to bind direct access to A/A menu and A/G menu separately. Thanks! -edit- I know there are some bindings available right now, such as those of changing range, selecting waypoint and aircraft stabilize, but these are just the basic ones. It would be pretty helpful to have access to all of the jester options. --

Ok I after looking on the Internet I finally got to set 4 different voice channels on SRS on the F18. I thought the KY-58 would allow me to have extra voice radios. But it has nothing to do with it. I managed to do it on the D/L settings, the MIDS A (VOC A) and MIDS B (VOC B) voice comms.
-
I think this is what I would like to do. How do you set the MIDS comms ?
-
Whenever I fly with my squadron we set Radio 1 to a General Freq where all flights can talk, and Radio 2 to the inter comms of the flight. The problem I have is that I need a 3rd radio for the AWACS. I know that the KY-58 radio works on SRS, so I would like to know how to use it so maybe I can set the inter comms of the flight to that system and leave Radio 2 to the AWACS. So do you know how they work? Do I have so set them in a specific way? Does that radio system have any pros and cons ?

So what are the differences between all the GBU-31 we have now ?
secretcode replied to secretcode's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Thank you so much for the response! This will help me a lot. I like to make notes and write what is each variant of a weapon for. -
With the most recent update now we have the following GBU-31: GBU-31 (V) 1/B GBU-31 (V) 2/B GBU-31 (V) 3/B GBU-31 (V) 4/B I would like to know what are the differences between all of them. The 3/B and 4/B have a different shape and if I am not mistaken they are used to penetrate bunkers but still, why do we have 2 of them ? Would be nice if some could point out when should we use one or another.

Why does my Plat Cam look so pixelated ?
secretcode replied to secretcode's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
Thank you so much Hughesj2 that was the problem! -
I have seen videos of people where the quality of the image is crisper than mine. Do I have to change any settings ? I will share a screenshot of the quality and my settings.

I would like to make a skin for the AI - UH-60A but I can't find where the textures are located. The only thing I found was a .zip file in: DCS World OpenBeta\Bazar\World\textures I extract the files, make some changes, zip again and nothing seems to change on the skin of the helo.

I think this works. But now I have the problem that the game opens in the middle of my two monitors.
-
It didn't work. But I noticed something. It gets stuck most of the times when I open the DCS shortcut I have on my desktop which is a shortcut of dcs_updater.exe If I open dcs.exe instead most of the times the game opens correctly. I don't know if that has something to do with the problem.
