Judging by the responses you got I don't think it was a wise decision. :D Anyway, the problems are tradeoffs If we want to use multiple monitors.

Why not post in the original thread. It is still active. Those problems are inherent to this set up. I have them and I'm sure others running it in Vista have them also. Hopefully someday a workaround will appear. One workaround for the framerate counter is to use FRAPS. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=32630

Why do most people start off in Real Flight mode. This heli is way too much to fly and fight in with only a few weeks in the cockpit. I'll admit it right now, "I FLY IN EASY FLIGHT MODE". There, I said it. I do use real avionics though. It's so much easier to fight the enemy when you don't have to fight the controls also. I have no trouble employing weapons and getting from point A to point B. I've tried to fly in real mode and haven't had much luck. Perhaps someday I'll learn, but I'm having too much fun in Easy Flight mode. I do own a RC helicopter. A T-rex 450se V2. Which I can barely hover. But then I don't have as much time to devote to it as I would like.

I got it working now. My fault, I right clicked and saved as instead of downloading from the link. Hopefully I'll get to try it later.

If you noticed, I also have Vista Ultimate x64 which utilizies all 8GB. Besides after the rebates this 8GB cost me a total of $50.00. I have a dual boot system, one drive with XP and the other with Vista x64. The XP drive is used by my roommate. She is computer illiterate. Email and Jeopardy is pretty much it for her. Plus I have XP If I need it. But, I spend most of my time in Vista x64.

I tell him combat spread right after take-off.

Well right off it won't load. Just sits at the loading screen.

Also make sure you have trackclip pro selected in your profiles.

That's a neat setup. I like the idea of a small monitor mounted below.

Have you set the display to extend to both monitors, where the task bar stretches across both monitors. If so, I believe you can just drag the GUI window onto the main monitor and center. I may be wrong but when I tested Win XP I did something similar.

Wingmen don't re-fuel and re-arm.

Although I really enjoy the KA-50 I can't wait for the A-10. It's my favorite fixed wing Aircraft.

The Geek Squad. I would not put much stock in what most of them tell you. I'm not a big overclocker. I increased the multiplier to 15 which brought my 9950BE up to 3.0 Ghz. It could easily go higher If I wanted it to. I did just switch my 4 1GB sticks of memory for 4 2GB sticks. Memory is so cheap now. After the rebates, it cost me $50.00 for 8GB

I'm not running full screen either and I see an increase of at least 10FPS in Vista x64 using the affinity trick.

Have to disagree as will a lot of people here also. Vista is much better then XP at running BS. Just in the affinity setting alone you can increase FPS about 25 - 30%. I have a dual boot system and I tested it on both XP x32 and Vista Ultimate x64. Vista wins hands down. Don't know why you're not seeing any increase using Vista x64. So go ahead and install Vista x64. Don't be afraid.

I would really like to know what info you have to backup these statements.

Why do you say not to install to the default folder? And, yes I have it on Vista Ultimate x64 and it runs fine. With a little work you can get the cockpit on one monitor and Shkval and ABRIS on another as some of us have already done.

Murphyd, How about posting your options.lua and 2monitortest.lua so we can help set it up for you. Did you just install the english version over the russian? I renamed the russian folder 1C_1 and then installed the english download version to the default directory. So far no problems
