  1. Anyone having issues with the M2000 and the Map Multi to Single option? Vaicom doesnt appear to communicate automatically on the Red UHF radio, it will only make calls on the Green V/UHF radio. Works fine if i manually select the channel using TX2 UHF. I have only just started flying the M2000 so im not sure if this is a bug introduced with the latest OB.
  2. I wish i had spotted this thread earlier, just been playing around with the mission editor to get this working. I can confirm that the AWACS (overlord) and the AC130 (enfield) are a problem. As you had suggested earlier in the thread if you delete the AWACS and move the AC130 further out it stops the blockage and stops the A130 trying to land, the rest of the mission continues as expected. FYI I'm also running the latest OB build. Note to self, check for a bug thread first before playing around with the editor ;)
  3. I completed this mission myself the other day. Make sure you check the briefing documents they have maps of the field with your start and end positions. On that mission it’s bay 35 - which is not a hanger. From the couple of missions I have flown of this campaign the bays have troops and vehicles around them. And as per feedifofum’s links, you should look to post in the m2000 part of the forum. The mission creator BalticDragon is very active and quick to respond to issues.
  4. Thanks, that explains all the issues I was seeing. REC+VAL did appear to do something, it just didn’t seem to update to where I pressed the buttons.
  5. Hi Hollywood, I just tried with manual select and using Instant Select both with the same result the wingman cant hear you. I also just tried recreating the issue in the editor with the same results. Drop in 2 aircraft use perform command, Set Frequncy, change to 31 HMz FM and jump into the pit. Again the wingman can only hear orders if you use the FM PTT, Multi to single doesn't work.
  6. Can anyone confirm if there are still issues with the INS, specifically with position update? I just picked up the 2000 in the sale and I'm running through the training missions. And at the moment I am unable to get the updates to work, regardless of radar update or not. Similarly INS bombing always fails as again i cant update the IP.
  7. Hi Hollywood, I am currently playing throught the A-10C The Enemy Within Campaign and im having an issue with Vaicom and the radio setup used in the campaign, it all works if you trigger the radios manually. On a number of missions you wingmen are on a custom FM radio channel rather than the typical 251 UHF, they use the Set Frequency Command in the mission editor. Vaicom doesnt appear to be able to detect this (I use Map multi to single, TX2 and Operate Dial settings) and attempts to communicate with the wingmen on UHF meaning that comms always fail. Other than manually sellecting the required radio - I use multi to single to save buttons - is there a work around you could think of? Thanks, Barry
  8. Hey, You are quiet right it does indeed work correctly. There is must indeed be an issue with Vaicom and custom wingman radios. I will menition it on the forum, and use the manual trigger for these mission. Thanks for checking.
  9. That's very odd then, it must be something to do with Vaicom pro and the change from regular UHF radio to the custom FM frequency. Based on what you are seeing it must be trying to broadcast on the UHF radio rather than FM. FYI I use a single PTT button with Vaicom and it automatically switches to the required radio based on the recipient. I will give it a try by manually triggering the FM radio. Thanks for having a look.
  10. No I’m not using easy comms. I do use Vaicom Pro, but I have checked that with other missions and I can use all 3 radios as expected.
  11. Thank’s, im using the current Open Beta release.
  12. Anyone having issues with Wingmans communications? Im now onto Mission 8 - A calm before the storm, and im unable to communicate with my wingman, who should be on 33 FM. I recall having a similar issue on a Mission 6 - Hammerfall 2, on that one I could only get them to do anything using the forced keyboard shortcuts, but those commands are pretty limited in scope. It only appears to be an issue when they are not on the usual 251 UHF channel. And you can get them to respond if you delete the Set Frequency Command in the mission editor - but i dont know if this would break something later in the mission.
  13. Just thought i would add that I just experienced a similar issues with Hammerfall 3. Targets destoyed and Uzi completes its drop off and you receive orders to RTB. Upon landing there isn't the usual Mission Success message and score remains at 50. Warrior also doesnt seem to respond to the bunkers being destoyed, you get a message stating that you have new radio options (call in Uzi) and Warriors options disapear from the menu without the usual, no further tasking call. I also couldnt get get a direct response to Overlord on a bogey dope about the Mig floating around. Although, I did hear the BRA calls on the way to the target I have tweaked the missionlog file to move on, but it does look like there might be something funny with the triggers. PS. Really enjoing the campaign so far, and this is the first mission I have seen any issues with.
  14. Thanks Hollywood, I just tried you suggestion, I cleaned DCS and restarted Viacom. Interestingly, unlike my initial install it did not automatically add all the required elements - perhaps this relates to the issues others are having. I manually updated all the files instead as per the manual. As far as my specific problem goes, having done all this the comms on the F-5 are still not received - A10, huey, F15, Mi8 are all fine. However, the F-5 works fine if I enable easy comms, so for now i have done that. Thanks.
  15. Thanks, glad its not just me! I could understand the bounce during high G manoeuvring, i was just really surprised it happens on take off as well.
  16. Im just getting into the F-5E and im really enjoying the module, but i have come across a strange issue. I can't seem to find any mention of it in the forums, or the manual so I'm wondering if i am missing something obvious here. After a Cold start and getting lined up on the runway with the ADI and the Standby ADI set to the horizontal I throttle up to 90% and release the breaks. As soon as i do that the ADI bounces down by around 10 degrees. The standby ADI is fine and doesn't move. Any help gratefully received.
  17. Hi, First up thanks for a great plugin. I have got everything configured and its working great for a number of modules, but im struggling to get the F-5E working correctly. PTT is configured to use one button for the various modules with Map multi to single on TX2 with Operate Dial set. With the F-5E i get ground comms but i loose the ability to talk as soon as i get airborne. I can however, force the communication if I say the command and then manually use the Radio Microphone button (Press RAlt + # on a uk keyboard). Im running DCS build 2.5.1.1697. Any thoughts?
  18. I was able to communicate with the other elements okay, it was only UZI I couldn’t hear., which makes me think the radio was tuned in okay. Interesting that you mention a bug around subtitles. I actually received all the UZI comms shortly after receiving the bullseye coordinates, including their LL location, all that happened long before I reached their actual position.
  19. Hi BD, First up, thanks for the campaign, really enjoying it so far. Couple of things I wanted to mention on Mission 3 - A Patrol Near the Border, in case they were not as intended. The heli crew (UZI ?) that you need to support are missing voiceover's as are the mission debriefs. I should add, that I did tune my radio to the suggested frequency. CLA at the heli location are all positioned in the trees, which is great as you need to bring the munitions down on the smoke. However, trees appear to shrug off any ordinance you drop on them so actually destroying anything is quite tricky. It took me 1 x GBU12, 1 x GBU 38, Rocket's and Gun's to finish them off. That said, it could be that I cant hit the broadside of a barn!
  20. I have just complete Mission 2, and i too had this issue with Vaziani ATC. It only appears once you start rolling and disappears again after take off, and is not an option for approach at the end of the mission. I did notice if you turn on labels that there is an APC Tigr 233036 parked next to one of the Mi-8's thats RED rather than BLUE. Perhaps that is causing an issue?
  21. Thanks Dzen, I don't think my missions had updated properly with the last patch. Fixed now.
  22. Hi Laivynas, Any update on the 2.5 fixes? I was looking to play mission 3 and the oilfield at WP 4 is in the middle of a forest.
  23. No, I didn’t receive any of those message only the first 2 parts of the comms, where you request tasking and pass on the coordinates. The AC-130 never acknowledged the IR pointing. I actually took them out between myself and my wingmen in the end to move on to the next mission. Once you do that the AC-130 actually acknowledges the kills, but I suspect that’s because you have scripted it to do so.
  24. I’m definitely on the correct group of tanks, because if I take them out with Mavericks the attack completes successfully. Do you recall how many groups there are to attack in this mission? As I can probably clear it with Mavericks rather than using the AC130. I also noticed that the other flights sometimes jam up on the runways and can’t get airborne.
  25. Hi Sabre, First up, just wanted to say thanks for a great series of campaigns. I have played through, basic, advanced and now tactical and they are all really well made and great learning experiences. I’m currently on TAC20 and having trouble with getting the AC-130 Enfield to engage targets. I have made contact and requested the engagement and tried lighting the target with both IR and Laser. Im currently running the last stable build of 1.5.7 - as I found there were comma issues with 1.5.8. Any suggestions?
