Whys the bingo always set at 4k in the pit? Is this changeable? I thought 4k sounded high too. Ai goes bingo really fast too. Im tellin ya though man that climbing profile is a real thing It sounds like the best advice is to always take full fuel and drop tanks because you can dump fuel and never know what may happen then eh? Next drop tanks. I almost mever drop them even in dogfights. Are they supposed to be jettisoned during dogfights? My cat handles fine with em?

Im serious a navy F4 vet bonafide proven told me they followed the "RUTKOWSKI CLIMBING PROFILE" but that theyd climb, gain speed, climb more, gain speed, and attain altitude. Im not a total moron yes I know full AB nose up is fastest climb Im talking about IRL or close to it how do navy fighters climb ans how fast do they try to on a normal mission? Jeesh I feel like diggkng and getting you a screenshot. Maybe I mis described it but otherwise if it doesnt make sense tell that to the giy with 2 F4 combat tours over Nam, Top Gun grad, and flew the 2nd operational cruise of F14s. John Chesire. Hes all over quora.

Ok bearfoot and overalien can you please try a strike mission where you dont mess with the WPs so I dont seem like the omly one? You guys did note Miguel21 said it had to do with the carrier turning and Mbot had a script right? Miguel knows his shit -
I know th2 engines are correct. Didnt know about the gauges. was a little shocked to find out we were using A model engine instruments

Ok tha ks If you guys are wondering why I asked see my INS probs thread. A dce campaign keeps getting wps wrong and its really hard to 1 man laser bomb when youre flying wirh no wps! The lantirn seems to know where the correct ones are but its such a vear that in both sorties Id have dived and pickled all my LGBs if I could in the future. Now I know its a M Kill for me

To be clear @Kondor77. The first time I encountered this bug I flew the entire sortie according to mission plan. And ended up wildly off course. So wildly off course and discombobulated I quit after 15 minutes of mucking around. About 15 sorties later (6 or 7 in that alone ) the next strike error happens. I was making jester wps. Some on xarrier most in flight always one at a time qnd slowly. But one of the sorties I sakd "f it maybe its me lets see where it takes me" Lets just say when I was overflying the Caucauses Mtns near Mozdok over 100 miles from the coast qnd 100 miles N Eastish of the target that I started manially flying by using kneepad and the mark location cheat -

I had similar issues. However I tried it without editting anything and with the default mission settings youre still sent wildly off. Once it showed on map we were flying to.. nowhere. I editted the map then. But Im 100% one sortie I didnt alter anything until I was 30 plus min feet dry over russia and 100 NM North EAST of my target before I desperately started punching in steerpoints. Its the first time in my life in the F14 I felt let down somehow by the airfrane and not me. Im over friggin RUSSIA and my goddamn INS is telling me the wrong stuff and I cant follow my idiot wingman. What a mess. Ok so i said I flew eacha few times. One was daytime coast EWR 2nd was ewr site 501 its inland and more to the south. Anyways I know also on 2nd mission ANOTHER retry involved having jester, slowly one at a time.listening to him.enter numbers (AND ANOTHER WAITING UNTIL IT SAID 8 MIN AGO FOR EACH!) and still waaay off. Hiw the hell does LANTIRN know thiugh? Finally I also did the taxi; but usually I dont mess about with that. Dont get me wrong. Ive tried it. But normally now I leave everything alone except startup until airborne and climbing. A guy miguel21 who got dce working for me ( @miguel21 ) said Mbot and him encountered similar problems and he solved it by waiting for the CARRIER TO MAKE A TURN INTO THE WIND. Can anyone verify how Id even know how this happens? He said Mbots got a script for it. Look under dce campaigns in user made missions and canpaigbs. Guys this is either a bug or dce bug but back me up on this fellas dont let it just die -

It is not all final yet, but to give you a bit of an idea what it will look like: - around 16 different IRIAF skins+ USAF Asia Minor (the one that stayed behind) - only aim54A, aim7-E(?)/F and only early aim9s (I'd have to check which versions, but prolly l or older) - only mk82 to mk84 - no lantirn - no TCS (but TCS covered, not removed) - no ACL/ICLS ^^this is neither a comprehensive, nor a final list, it is just me listing stuff top of my head, but I doubt we will go any further than that. I think this will still set it apart enough to make it a nice opponent or flyable on the Iranian side. In general a flood antenna guides the missile to the target with the strongest returns in its cone, but it is very unreliable and the cone is quite small. The one in the F15 in FC3 is quite overdone, in real life probably no one would use it in either aircraft. If you launch an aim7 in BRST, you basically launch it in flood mode. Not recommended. ** As the man said it wasnt comprehensive but trust me if those are the ideas on the top of his head its not gonna be some total nww airframe experience. He didnt mention the engines which are the hugest thing. If we got the engines and them to put the correct engine instrumentation in the B, and added tarps Id be happy. I hate to admit it because they do great work but I wish theyd ditch all the skins but 2 or 3. Let the community suss that out

I dont know if I missed something but I dont know where the hell you guys are reading Iran and early USN f14. I read F14 A Plus and not as deep changes as we.d all like bc they gotta draw tge line somewhere. Besides the engines they named a handful of changes, the biggest move towards it being Iranian will solely be the 36 iirc IRIAF skins besides just the regular stuff like the engines etc. I think they did an amazing job on this module and I get the work has to stop somewhere. Ill still be that douche and say I was a little disappointed at the breadth of changes compared to the B. But of course no one knows except HB until we get our handsnon it. I think you guys are expecting way too much. I totally readaF14 A like a A plus rlly thats a USN bird that will have beaucoup Iranian liveries and it wont be too much a stretch to put someone in one as a "iranian"

John Chesire a F4 Nam vet and one of the first F14 pilots mentionedthat in the USN they had a climbing profile as well. I forget the name. Basically they climb to an altitude level out gain speed climb again. It was a math figured way to gain altitude as fast as possible without just full ab amd up. Anyone know what a profile for this would look like in F1 Eg 10k level off get to mach .6 climb.to 25k level off whatecer. As is once on course I set autopilot and a 5 orn10 degree climb around 90% rpm until 25 to 35 k. Then I put her in a cery shallow dive. Like maybe 20 min Ill hit 20k feet. And I noticed I can keepnher around 450 knots grnd speed at 85% rpm or 2.5k lbs per hr at rhat altitude which saves me a lot of gas.. Other ideas?

Wait... so wheres the script? Is this for sure the reason? Why does it only seem to affect my strike missions or indeed TF68? I just flew a escort in 74 and the waypoints were spot on. This problem only occured in TF68 during strikes. I admit I also had a night sceamble that were ghosts. Or we got scrambled WAAAAY to early. All the other intercept flights landed. I decided to play with the SAM. Sites and 4 Tu142s decided to take off and fly into my phoenixes. Lol. But they were most definitely not coming from the bearing given in the briefing - nothing came from there How do i know when the carrier is done turning? Are you saying dont tell jester to start up until then? Or.. How long does it take for that to happen???

Yes Ive noticed flooding hester with wayloint input commands cab mess it up I even allowed for some sudden hard jink i mysteriously dont remember. But I flew both 5x times easily because I maddeningly could do the job if the waypoints were just right! Posting this and seeing others agree sealed it for me -

Following the wps it became obvious It was taking me about 20 miles NE of target! Second time at night. Ewr strike. Deep though. This time 100 miles Northish of target! Before I stopped following -

Those missions were the first time I ever felt the air frame failed me and not thr other way around Ordering wingmen to engage target and rtb or rejoin .. did nothing -

Ill add I reflew the night sortie 2x to make sure i hadnt hard maneuvered without knowing. The day sortie actually now I think i flew 3x! This is a def problem and the others chiming in.. someone!? -
My advice is the VDI Only because when they added that rio function to help pikots land they said the hud had a slight delay and the VDI processed fastest (good ol 70s tech) So I think in everything the VDI is slightly more "on point"

Bump Heatblur or someone else Is this a dce issue or a game bug. It happened 2x in the same sortie AND in a totally different sortie altogether. Ims.pretty sure if you simply edit the 80s tf68 toninclude strikes youll ommediately notice the problem we are having. I dont see it being dce - why does LANTIRN know the correct WPs? Why wont adding new map WPs do ANYTHING? -
Miguel21 or P80 Please help Look on my INS wrong nav thread on the F14 forum.its in DCE campaigns. Happened 2x to me diff missions and 9 others said them too. Even adding new wayooints in f10 doesnt fix. You fly a strike and the comp sends you over 100 miles off target. Even adding wayoooints doesnt do a damned thing. I thought I maybe jerked the plane somehow though no maneuvering. Reflew. Same. Tried an entirely diferent mission. SAME. Posted a thread and suddenly 8 or 9 guys tell me "hey me too!" Can we get some help! Whats this about? I mean with laser guided bombs it causes a huge problem since Im.flying alone. Second whats even weirder? Lantirn has the correct waypoints. Ine mission i manually flew to targer and got 1 500lber on target. The rest werent happening.. to chaotic. But secondtime nope not evem 2 tries. Too dark, nothing near target, id spot and the one time i was lined up to drop an sa8 killed me.. But fellas or Mbot or anyone please please help us out and look into this

I think that ONLY means The dozen or so IRIAF skins. He went into detail what would change. There was nothing centric to iran. It looked like a USN A+ that could way better masquerade as a IRAF F14.

Really weird! Ive been able to recreate it I reflew last night. Following the ghost steerpoints took me almost 100 miles NE of where I was supposed to be. Crappy thing? I actually manually flew back to where the real ewr site was, found the 3 rinky dink little radar trucks and started lazing one just to catch a SA8 to the face. Allegations of a rage quit are unclear at this time -

No not long flight. The entire mission would probably be 1 hour tops. The nab drift was noticeable after 15 minutes in the air it was clear the waypoint I was being steered to wasnt where the f10 was showing. I still have a copy of the campaign generated mission. I will report back after a nap (lol) and see if the problem repeated. I did cat off a deck but dont remember much sliding. I started noticing about 40nm off the coast I seemed... headed the wrong damn way. Sure enough when I got way closer.. the EWR site was off even from the waypoints I set using f10 on the location of where I knew the site was. The whole thing was so weird. If the problem happens again and anyone wants the mission I can send it. -

Im curious too. I think its for non slider things. It doesnt change anything .. for my slider. I guess maybe if you had something else that wasnt recognized as a slider by the game?
