Yeah but this is the thing. Ive been flying a lot of SO lately and from front seat only its very easy to hit friendlies if theres enemies and friendlies in the same airspace. Jester isnt ALWAYS immediately saying "locked a friendly" he very often doesnt at all. Its a significant part of the radar, and furthermore if one has to say save friendlies being jumped IRL Im sure you'd fire a missile on a definite hostile in the midst of friendlies. If it was life or death? Probably not a missile that goes pitbull but this problem exists with any missile. I just really dont see the harm in adding a jester>BVR>IFF>interrogate or STT Lock>IFF INT. Being option 4

Thanks yes it is! I just deleted the new scripts mod put the "old" one in youband I dealt with amd the campaign works... :) Thank you. Something spicy about being land based and fighting the americans. I find it best in this campaign if you cheat and use aim 54s to fly low, ripple off 4 at a flight and run away, then ttty and come back if you feel cocky. And make them dogfigbt over air defenses. Theyre insanely lethal though - the US . Im REALLY excited for the A to come out itll really brinf this campaign to life. Im worried supercarrier is going to ruin the planned forrestal stuff

When miguel answers I need to ask if the pruning things already in. My frames have taken a hit for no apparent reason. I took the only scriptsmod folder and replaced the new and the campaigns work The iran one seems to too! I shift r'd a mission (it restarts but the bat file gets ran. I see if camp works that way. It queired me successfully so seens to work but crashed the game. I gotta add HOLY HELL I opened the mission editor - AMAZING WORK. Whoever added ALL THOSE UNITS it was impressive before. The map looks lioe some one vomited on it now theres so many things at play its amazinf. This may be my favorie one just bc the underdog feel and the bast array of enemies. I hope i get it working. I load up on old aim 7 fs and maybe 2 phoenixes after a few missions ill stop carrying them ;) promise

I hate you. I only have gotten dce to work with 2 campaigns with miguel doing everything the last 2 weeks. Before that I got Guardians of the Caucauses to work one glorious mission... that was it. And I just tried for one more.. un porquito mas.. and I think I broke em all again

Eeeek I hope I didnt break the campaigns! Its all ive been doing since you fixed it miguel, since the covid lockdown Ive been flying 5 or 6 full sorties a day im so in love with the dce campaigns. It finally allowed me to explore the f14 more. I wish I could have it for the huey as its my other favorite toy; or that I could reliably.make it work. If I could Id probably do the fulcrum, flanker, and mig 21 especially too. But I got greedy - I at least wantdd just the Iranian F14 campaign. Especially as you can take off on land and youre fighting the US - it just really appeals to me. But I got greedy I fear and downloaded it mucked around and now I think I broke all the campaigns! Not sure, running a batch for battle group works but clicking that campaign or the Iraf one lead to loading screens just endlessly sitting :/ Still get the weird error on anything for the IrAf camp. I need a break. Ill post in a few hours and tell you if I managed to break my regular campaigns too. God why is it only me thats so damn stupid with this

Yes. I have both the campaigns you helped me with working. However I tried getting the new IrAf F14 camp going. Weird error message for first mission. I tried copying over the new mission script folder AFTER that realizing the scripts were updated. Now Im a little worried I broke the campaigns that worked. If you could help me.. lol Ill promise to leave you alone

Argh. I cant get the Iranian F14 campaign to work. I copied the lines from the 2 campaigns that work. Can anyone help me Ill send a screen of the error? String action ground unitbrepair attempt to call field ground unit repair a nil value etc?

Me too suddenly! Well guess what? If you go to cat 4, angle yourself diagonally towards the furthest front right, step on the brakes and go to zone 5 and let the brakes go with flaps down, you can take off - without jester even screaming about sink rate and I surprisingly just let it come off the deck - it barely droppped! I was shocked. Id tried it before but the extra run up room - that was the trick! I dont know if Im happy I got that to work as a wrk arnd of sorts or sad its possible. I have a feeling irl it wouldnt be.

Oh theyre still the best thing out there. Better than scripted too. Persistent damage. They keep gttn better. If they only could write a casevac script that for ejected pilots a percentage or something increases with distance from enemy shore if over water. Id love a CSAR huey campaign. Itd be great as an excuse to use some less used western planes as CSAR guards.. Id kill for that and just troop transport and sometimes hot LZs. Someone could do it for russians where if pilot ejects and is over russian land % of CSAR flight. Probably never happen but only way I can imagine it besides an actual attack campaign. The only attack helo I can genuinely say id want is the hind or ah 1z. Otherwise idk. Im so broke. Need a new comp. And I got my f14. Only MUST haves for me are F4, A6, or an Mi24 tbh right now. Yeah yea if they rolled out a couple of different cold war jobs Id probably change my.mind fast. Id fly a b57 or il28. Lol

I get it. I distinctly just remember reading Shrikes would go dead if emitters were turned off - this began in VN. HARMs were supposed to be a upgrade as turning the emitters off would still cause the harm to hit the emitters last known spot. The problem was it only killed the radar truck. Other things on that campaign - sead and dead flights do their jobs... really poorly. Whereas in TF Delta they absolutely savage the enemy. Youd think walleyes - a circa 1960s weapon wouldnt be as effective as harms but Ive watched F18As destroy 2 EWRs and 2 SAM sites in one sortie after I got shot down. In TF 68 I think mayben10 SAMs got hit in 18 missions. It was a total clusterfck. We only ever got 2 EWR sites and the cargo convoys. Everything else barely got touched. What a mess. It feels like the AI has no brain at all in TF68 (80s) battle group delta the ai feels competent. Its a shame as to me the USSR is a much more compellling enemy. I look at the enemy aerial OOB for the iranian one and smh. F4E squad F5s and one F14 squad The Russian aerial oob has like 12 squads tu22s.. tu142s. Mig 25s 23s 21s. Su17s. Theyre a real issue. Su24s. The entire campaign the red air is a huge issue. While I ramble I never realized how many AS4s would be shot at a whack! Is this realistic? Holy hell! I cant try to down those cruise missiles with Aim54s - theres too many - gotta get rhe planes!

Thanks. Also I cant find explanatiom for the carrier landing codes. Holding hands with and the numbers are the tail #s your flying with? Single is charlie? Whats that? Marking moms? I get the angels and state, but I dont get marking moms, and the BRC something, single/signal is charlie? Why does DCE do this to HARMs? It seems odd, because the attacks against sov air defenses are useless. Then I go fly my "f14a" against iran and suddenly the F18As attaxking air defenses kick ass and are using walleyes to smash any targets. I really liked Tf 68 but I think some stuff needs to be looked at (80s version) especially also my last mission it claimed the nimitz was sank. End of campaign. Fine. But it wasnt. What is that just a way to end the campaign? Because I scrutizized the hell out if the debrief all of it...

I have endlessly more experience as a pilot. Im east coast us based. Id need someone patient tech wise as i had problems last time I tried flyibg multi crew. If someone really wants to do it but has to be pilot I can try to learn RIO but Im telling you now I suck at mafs and I tried watching a awg9 tutorial before and it was soooo boring to me .. .lol

Thanks yes I know about switching radars off but i thought the harms advantage over the agm45 shrike was it "remembered" where the emitter was. So when I call the carrier put in the runway heading they give? Or the bearing theg give to the carrier? Why add ten in case 3??? Do you guys recommend flying heads down in case 3 only or trying to use the NVGs? The F14s projecting light "hud" seems to f with nvgs

I play DCS on a laptop man. Im terrified it will die and its a couple years old. Almost a year ago it looked like id get a couple grand. I waa going to get a VR amongst some IL2 stuff and real life stuff. Imagine my disappointment that buying some 50 dollar thing is not enough. I need a 3k dollar comp to run it. I use a 40 dollar logitech pro. Im VERY poor. Its not a possibility. Id literally give a testicle or shoot someome below the waist if someone "gifted" me a 3k comp and VR VR I heard its so amazing. Sadly Ill probably never get to play it in VR

I dont auto anything. Ibheard navy pilots didnt like to. Anyways the hornet was stupid easy to trap. I dont own the mod so i goto combat in the f14. Shes my baby and I own the module. I need to master her. And i click with her some planes. . I just suck at im not a f14 ace but i get kills in it... i get gun kills againat 9ther fighters in a dve campaign so more like a real scenario versus orher planes not at all. The hornet does have better SA but I learned a lot of tricks with my F14. Its also like the huey. Im a weirdo - I wanna dly CASEVAC. Id kill of every down3ed pilot sometimes generated CSAR missions. Id pay money if someone made a dce model for rhat and made a huey campaign and mi8 camp thi i dont own it and youbtried to rescur friendly aircrew. Thats the only major thing we are missing for an aerial battlefield. Sti lll the F14 feels like a beast. I cant explain it. It feels alive. The hornet feels like a sim. It is a sim but do you get what I mean? I feel like I guess a tomcat would be riding my horse into battle versus when cars were invented. By the by since I get answers here are e HARMs bugged? In the SCE campaign for the 80s against the Sovs the SEAD strikes maybe 1 in 20 harms hits!!

Hmm. Well to be honest i dont own hornet. F14 was NOT my first dcs jet. LOL I flown a lot and own a lot. All i fly is the f14 and huey though. Almost entirely f14. I did like the mig21 but it was too much work for the littlest things. The f86 great but .50s hopelessly nerfed like the p51. It lacked content at the time too. F5 was cool but lacked content at the time. I regret the gazelle and ka50 terribly. Whar a waste. The su25 is cool. A10A is cool and the FC3 planes. Back tonthe subject... The F14 WAS my first carrier plane. I admit I had an advantage on you in that but brago landing first time in a f14. I didnt. I find her floaty and harder to land. The hornet I legit fired up VERY FIRST FLIGHT EVER hit esp went to controls bound the stick and thats it, and got a 3 wire. I rolled my eyes. Then I did the 1 v 1 in PG versus a mig. I ground killed him by maneuvering but I could never get on his 6. And of course I hadnt studied the weapons (lol) so I was dogfighting like I had to get on his 6. Still. The F14 i ride that thing and I feel like Hephaestus. This screaming angry fast god of war banging about the skies. It felt like a muscle car versus a tesla. A real rock.concert versus an ipod, that girl next door versus your hand - lol ok not that bad. I really wanted the thunder to work for me. It wont i dont know why. I totally wasted this free period lmao. Someone fixed dce for me and Ive just beennflying the f14 non stop. I just felt safer in the F14 Ill add. It accelerates WAY faster. I was going a lot faster. The hud wherever i looked was really.convenient but felt like cheating. I felt *wrong* with that thing. I took the harrier out once. And died in.5 min. Mi8 i had to autorotate sort of. I havent even flown the f16 besides to just land it (im a weirdo i do that any module i get the chance like to prove i can) I wish i had a more powerful system now dcs ww2 finally matured somewhat. For one you dont NEED to fly rhe p51. And .50s in a combat box still kill. Il2s ww2 is better IMO EXCEPT it doesnt have 4 engines and its ridiculous

Whoooooa same mission the waypoints CHANGED IN MISSION Im alt tabbing and making a copy of the mission! Wow you have to look at this please. I took screens. Adding new map waypoiunts doesnt matter nor do they show up. 3 totally new WPs showed up MID cap mission!
