Ontop of steam users not being able to use the Open beta due to meta shader issues without relocating their DCS Installs, the New texture manager unloads ground, Weather, cockpit, aircraft external, and unit textures after spending about 30 or so seconds in the F10 Map, leading to a massive lagspike and subsequent disconnect from multiplayer servers, and a crash on singleplayer while attempting to reload everything. a tweak to limit unloading to only AI Ground vehicles and unloaded/not within load range AI/Non player vehicles would do it some good.
  2. We have the Shaking effect to a minor amount although its mostly an effect of the camera mounting. as for the bubbles it would be a nice effect to have a basic arg based fluid animation.
  3. There is an entire thread on it. it was even linked here by an admin. As it is for another topic(and IS Already in another topic) im not going to bother reposting everything here because that would just be duplicating a thread.
  4. Point taken. although the A10 does nonetheless have performance issues.
  5. Its unclear if the numbers gave on the USAF Page were for installed or testbench. and the inlet to the A10s engines are less then a foot from Cowling to blade so inlet efficiency is not a very large factor if any.
  6. In the manual for the A10C it is stated that each engine is rated for 8,900 pounds of thrust. which is 165 Pounds per engine lower then the actual A10C, which is rated for 40.3 Kilonewtons or 9065 pounds. in total we're missing about 240 Pounds of thrust.   7. I feel your pain. Spend over 100 dollars on a sim and meet the Recommended specs only for an Update to kill it. What the hell is using 10 Gbs of ram anyways, It'd be nice to have a terrain quality mesh quality option.
  8. He knows how to start it, he just cant get through the entire procedure on the ground before his sim CTD's.
  9. Even if its not used, its still a system thats in place on the Suite 3 aircraft (the one we have in DCS), and its not noted in the manual that its not simulated.

  11. We're complaining about the fact that any of these issues made it past QA, that nobody bats an eye at over 16gbs of ram usage, stutters, lighting issues, shader issues, etc.
  12. Check Cockpit global illumination is ON.
  13. +1, ran testing on Havoc weapons training server and on a private server, and in single player, same behavior.
  14. Just about what it says on the tin, having 100$ or more sunk into a game only for an update to have a botched launch break it all is not fun.
  15. I've noticed it too, Was flying in thick fog and almost deadsticked it into the field next to kobuleti because i never picked up the TACAN or ILS beacons.
  16. Bull, i've ran BF1, Cod WW2 and multiple other Triple A Titles with 8gbs on high settings, P3D, FSX dont even use close to this much RAM.
  17. +1 to this issue, 8 Gig players are getting pretty shafted by 2.5, wonder why this was not an issue in 1.5.8 unless they completely redid the way skins are handled.

  20. Sarcasm helps nobody. keep it to yourself, a drop of almost 60-100 frames is absolutely bull.

I know that im going to catch flak for not expecting this, but this is a bit overkill. i was running 3GB's, sometimes 4GBs of RAM usage in 1.5.8OA, Now im running over 6.1 Gbs and 2.3GBs page-file during loadd, and 5GBs once in and loaded, this makes multiplayer impossible. framerate wise everything is fine* for the most part. *minor expected drop of about 10 frames. Specs(I used to get 160FPS on high settings in 1.5.8OA): Pentium G4560-3.5Ghz-Kabylake EVGA 1050Ti 4GB 8GB RAM I was expecting minor dips, and actually getting in game is fine on single player, everything looks stunning, but the load times are absolutely horrible now.
  22. Figured this out pretty soon after i posted this thread. a better question would be how the hell do i go about setting up anything for DCS.
  23. To clarify - we have less then 10 days until 2.5 is shoved out for the world to see?
