Best thing for you, BaD CrC, would still be to learn the basics of the mission editor. It's very easy! Don't worry about triggers or anything like that, just figure out how to add aircraft.

I like the seperate ABRIS! That's a really neat feature, I'd like to try it out now.

Vista and Multi-core/Multi-CPUs, Continued

On Vista-32, setting the affinity for DCS.exe to two cores, I get a fair FPS increase. However, I do have to set it every time the sim launches. -
Simply gorgeous! Someone get that man some dedicated webspace!

Smart.

Often times I find auto-hover does nothing for me. In fact, it seems like the majority of times I stabilize the helo and hit LALT + T I get no help at all, aside from a circle in the HUD. lol. I have all my AP channels lit, and I've tried using BARO and RALT hover modes, but it doesn't seem to change anything.

Hey Wedge, I was just noticing you have a couple topics here of questions that you could find helpful and complete answers to if you read through the DCS Black Shark manual, found in "Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/Ka-50/Doc," and the producers notes videos which you can find on the DCS website, or on youtube. The great thing about reading around to find the answer is that you'll pick up answers to other questions too. It takes more time, but that's the whole point of this sim!

Damn dude! Put up the full res! -
The tough thing is that it's all got to be player-driven, or it will never happen. It's the same in every sim/game. It seems that the most realistic (and commercial) simulators always have the hardest time organizing the most consistent, and especially, large events. I sure hope it can be done! I know what it's like to feel real online cooperation, and you honestly forget you're in a simulator. AFAIK, sadly, the play with Flaming Cliffs is usually much more spontaneous. If we could find a body of dedicated individuals with serious resources and a gift for communication, DCS has everything needed to create an incredible multiplayer experience. Let's hope the squads that are forming even now step up to the plate! It's going to take a lot more than internal organization and communication to build a strong community. Don't isolate yourselves guys!

Ahaha? When did you take these shots? I think I might be "featured!" :P

Love the cross-community action. Who says us Falconeers can't cross over?! :D

I thought i noticed slightly better FPS! I posted that last comment before i had figured out how to even fire a flare. It's still a little heavy for my mediocre PC. I'll have to buy a computer to match this beautiful sim. :)

Pardon my ignorance, but I've looked high and low and cannot find Evil's AP FAQ that you mentioned earlier Bucic. Where was that?

Now stop my trails from expanding.

Ohhh man. I think I could get comfy with this sim. And maybe even with helicopters! :megalol:
-
Just my personal thank you for crafting the next great study-sim since Falcon 4.0. It's about time someone stepped up to the plate, and by the looks of it, you guys hit a home run. Way to go ED!

Gorgeous stuff mitch, I absolutely love the splinter camo! Anyone who can skin like that should be valued by a community, not snapped at. Come on now people.
-
I used to have that with FC! I can't remember how I resolved it, though.

If I were there, I'd hate to see the base go! I love the sound of jets in the morning. :smilewink:

That's what happened, bud. Think it through. :noexpression: Let's keep the callous comments to a minimum. Both the life of the pilot and those on the ground are valuable and the entire incident is a tragedy. Fact is, awful things just HAPPEN and it can't always be prevented. On average, 114 people die per day in the United States for car crashes alone. To me, being that pilot left alive would be as bad as being dead. He/she deserves sympathy, not critique. God bless them all, and their families.
