  1. I guess the situation described by Kaktus may be regarded as "bad", but in my (limited) experience, the radar in the Tomcat doesn't perform that "badly".
  2. Is it really that bad? (as described by Kaktus) Now I have to mention that I haven't flown the Tomcat a lot, I mostly wanted to test the radar/missiles, so I might have misunderstood something, but: here's a simple mission, 4 Tu-95s and a Tomcat flying at 30,000 ft, radar in TWS Auto, range set to 400 and it looks like that: As far as smaller aircraft are concerned, I replaced the Bears with Su-30 and 2 of 4 were detected at ca. 80 NM.
  3. I did just that but I couldn't get ATC to work, neither in Preset or Manual audio settings (Phantom). However, ATC worked in other quick start missions in Nellis. Isn't in necessary to copy the lua file as well?
  4. We should be glad he doesn't eject straight away!
  5. I selected HOBOSs, waited ca. 3 minutes for the picture to appear, switched to Mark 82s, dropped them, selected HOBOSs again, waited another 3 minutes or so, found a target, dropped a HOBOS and destroyed 3 trucks with it So it seems there's no bug, hopefully.
  6. Please implement a less panicky WSO
  7. Maybe internally, but the problem's still present. Fortunately, it's a small gripe.
  8. All right, he aligned the INS as before the infamous patch, ready to taxi!
  9. Jester seems to be fixed, testing it now.
  10. Jester seems to be fixed, testing it now.
  11. When can we expect any fix/mod fixing Jester's behaviour?
  12. Ok, thanks for the prompt reply!
  13. I'm performing a slow repair now, but it seems that today's update has broken Jester's behaviour. (Cold start, Caucasus). At the beginning of the procedure, Jester asks me what type of alignment I want (BATH or full). Then, after the engines have been started, air and power disconnected, both generators set to on, etc., he should ask me if I'm ready for alignment - only he doesn't. The INS knob is switched to STBY, the system is heated and that's all - Jester doesn't switch the knob to ALIGN. Did I miss something or it's a new bug? Yesterday, it worked.
  14. Still not fixed, I'm afraid.
  15. Knock it off, pretend you're not interested, we'll get a discount!
  16. I know I'm a bit late to the party, and frankly I don't care about the MiG-29 too much, but in early 90s (the Polish Air Force acquired their Fulcrums in 1989), people talked a lot about its supposed 'supermaneuverability' and the maneuver called "kolokol" (bell, or Kvochur's bell). Just my 2 cents, maybe it was mentioned earlier.
  17. Right. The problem is that the enemy wasn't jinking all the time, and the Eagle got "really close". It even overshot the MiG several times.
  18. You know, I like the F-15 but it doesn't mean that I wanted to see it win all fights, just to feel good. I wanted to see how the AI manages turns, speed and other maneuvers and maybe learn something from it. Let's say I wasn't impressed. I hope it'll be improved... in the future.
  19. But it survived twice because the other pilot ejected. So it's kind of "win". The problem is that in those 4 cases, the F-15 was unable three times to shoot down its opponent.
  20. Now that you mentioned it... A strange story about the Aussies facing off against Stinger missile-wielding kangaroos started circulating around the internet in 1999. https://www.wearethemighty.com/mighty-history/australian-air-force-vs-kangaroos/
  21. It's not bad. I don't use it with DCS, but without it, I wouldn't be able to fly the A380 in MSFS2020.
  22. Maybe it was, it seems it no longer IS.
  23. All right, but it's seemingly a simple task - don't get shot down, shoot down the enemy plane. What advanced actions are necessary? Fight better? Be a better pilot?
