I asked about this in another thread and was told it is an ED problem.

Is there some kind of workaround in single player or fix? This is super frustrating it's sad that every time I come back to the Harrier its always a negative experience.

Hi, this is not a huge issue and was not sure where to post. The new model viewer has lost the function to move the aircraft around the screen. I am only able to move it around its axis. Am I doing something wrong or is there a new method to do this? If anybody knows help would be appreciated.

Yeah I know and on that that thread there is almost no info just some random photo from facebook. I don't use facebook or discord I use the ED forums. Thanks anyway.

Why do these fools use every single platform except for the actual official ED forums? This company absolutely baffles my mind and to be honest just pisses me off. Thanks for some kind of update though.

I have the same issue cold starting at Nellis AFB, I have not tried without the tpod yet but with it I cannot get alignment and no map shows up. When I start on the ramp hot or in the air the map shows and alignment is fine. I'll get a track file a bit later when I have time. https://imgur.com/Kq1tyL1

I have had a massive fps drop after last update feels like I'm watching a slideshow at times. Before this update everything was super smooth. Will give some of the suggestions here a try, hopefully something works for me.

It is the end of May and still no fixes. Kneeboard, switches, pilot.

Perhaps, I will investigate and find the problem but as stated none of my texture mods has anything to do with the ships. Thanks for your help though.

Yeah I use many mods but they are all in the saved games folder, also I probably have like a billion skins but none for the ships. I've attached my log file looks like it has something to do with NGMODEL? dcs(log).txt

I don't know whats up with mine, I've just updated to the latest OB 2.5.4.30038 and I still have the same problem. As I said though it's strange because it's only in game, in the model viewer the textures show up. :unsure:

In the OpenBeta several Russian ships have missing textures, namely: Elnya Tanker Neaustrashimy Pyotr Velskiy Rezky (Krivak-2) I have tried repair it does not fix the problem. The weird thing is that when I load these ships models in the model viewer they have textures. I have found their textures in Bazar/World/Textures in various compressed files so they do exist but are not being read. I have also looked at the .lua files for these ships but can't find any lines to do with textures so I'm a bit lost. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

After the latest OpenBeta update 2.5.4.30038 the kneeboard for the M-2000C can no longer page. I've tried on every map to no avail. Another problem I am suddenly encountering is that the screen blacks out periodically or sometimes in rapid succession when turning at high g's.

I found the problem, after looking at the log I realised that I did not have enough disk space. The weird thing is however that every time it failed to unpack because of insufficient disk space it would delete the files and start downloading it again. I had 20 gb free but I forgot how large the unpacked map files can be, obviously once I cleared some disk space by temporarily moving some liveries out onto another drive it installed no problems. Lesson learned: check disk space. It would be nice though if after unpacking and detecting not enough disk space it could give a warning so that you don't perpetually do the same thing over and over wasting data (this might just be me though). I'm on a limited mobile data plan as I live in a rural area with no other option and have basically blown through my cap for the month. On the bright side I have an updated Persian Gulf map. Is there a problem with the latest OpenBeta update? The initial download is about 9 gb and then it unpacks about 16 gb of data. After unpacking it immediately starts another download of 3736.1 mb and then unpacks 16 gb of data again then it repeats that exact 3736.1 mb download again and unpacks 16 gb again this has cycled 5x now. Is this correct? I have also already run a repair and restarted the whole download but once again this is happening.:helpsmilie::wallbash:

Same here, all the keys are corrupted and some keyboard commands are not working for instance lower gear in F/A-18. I had to re-assign everything from scratch and about to test it

Nice my father was actually in this squadron. I spent a lot of my early childhood in the 24 squadron hangar at Waterkloof AFB.

You are not the only one, I have the same problem in the open beta version. Both the NTTR and Persian Gulf maps don't zoom out as far as they previously used to. It does not effect the Caucuses map however. Strangely I have not seen anything other than this post and another one in the Persian Gulf maps thread about this. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, if anybody even knows about it?
