  1. FYI: I just received an email to confirm my order of a Super 50PPD; however, I ordered a 57PPD, which I was able to state that preference. My original order was for the original Super bundle with 57PPD QLED and 57PPD OLED. I might change the OLED to the Ultrawide 50PPD later.
  2. ...which makes it even tougher on us waiting on our orders. That said, I'm really looking forward to going back to VR...I'm currently on a monitor. It's a massive step down in immersion; however, I bought a haptic seat that helps offset.
  3. This from a day ago explains some, but still no firm idea of shipping for Super 57PPD. PIMAX Update
  4. Which did you order, 50 or 57PPD?
  5. I wasn't able to use latest SRS release with the Corsair in multiplayer (MP). When we key the mic, there's no sound or any other indication we're transmitting and it's all quiet. The only thing we found was mapping VOIP for MP comms. So, it works for you? Maybe we don't have the radio selected properly, it sounds...
  6. Is VOIP the only comm keybind capability when flying multiplayer with the Corsair? SRS doesn't seem to work when in the 3D world/mission itself. It seems to work up until entering the actual mission. Any ideas? I'm on the latest DCS and SRS releases. Thanks!
  7. For me, it's just one PC when this happens. BTW, this happens to a freshly started DCS without a suspension, hibernate, etc. Just logged in minutes before, go in to edit a mission or fly, and after maybe 10-15 mins, session expired and logs me off. I'm back to Windows desktop with no recourse to stop the logoff, and I lose all of my work, etc.
  8. Realizing BigNewy said they are looking at it, I want to state this has occurred 4 times in the last month for me, which never happened before. It's more than an inconvenience, especially if I'm working locally/alone on building missions and not even multiplayer flying. I've lost changes to complex mission builds twice and twice during critical system tests that took me many minutes of flying to check multiple subsystems on a new build, only to have it crump to start over again. It should have better built-in resiliency, especially when working locally/non-networked.
  9. Which Super, 50 or 57PPD? Thanks.
  10. Outstanding rundown...all the right pain points covered. Thanks, @Nedum!!
  11. Won't hurt to resurrect and connect with the old post...<grin>
  12. Similar Issue? I wonder if this is a similar issue, @Northstar98?
  13. What keybinds do I use to enable the PTT HOTAS buttons for UHF and VHF transmit?
  14. Thanks. We have comparable systems, so your feedback is entirely valuable to me. Thanks for taking the time with specificity! I had the Reverb G2, on which cut my VR teeth. As with you, I knew what I was looking at after flying the Viper for many years. The MFDs were very readable, but the switch labels in the cockpit weren't, and I was ok with that. Still, with my old headset and system, I had to keep the details dialed down in DCS and other sims. With the new system (I have AMD 9950X3D otherwise same as you), I have all the detail all the way up, but flying only 2D with 49" monitor...the lack of depth perception without VR...is going way back. I prefer VR's immersion.
  15. If any, what did you use before for VR and how does that compare with your Crystal?
  16. Some will say not to, but I had to run TrackIR with administrative privileges after the same upgrade. That MIGHT fix it.

    Castles

AND, to this end, the castles often served as a backdrop for many military posters for the nearby flying units, who often sold these prints to support their squadron funds. Cochem Castle is another, on the Mosel River. They are all part of THE ambience of the Cold War for many military members.
  18. Agreed. For the Viper, the HSD and FCR cursor function similarly, but the HAD is overly sensitive.
  19. Ordered 57PPD Super Bundle on 1 Oct 2024...only received the emails indicating late June 25. Don't know where I am on the waiting list, if "first buy-first served". UPDATE: As of 1 Jul 25, no direct contact about status, only the website timing announcements.
  20. There are estimates that 60ppd is retina quality, so the closer you are to that, the better the resolution. Even Pimax says this decision is up to the user what matters more 1) increased FOV or 2) near-retina-quality. I went for the latter (57ppd) since XRNeckSafer/eye tracking will offset any loss of FOV, for the most part, but nothing offsets for a fixed lower resolution. I used to have the HP Reverb G2, so basically more than doubling the PPD and adding FOV will help my VR experience. It's really what you prioritize for your VR flying experience.
  21. Update: This issue seems to be related to the Cold War map. My testing included Instant Action and scripted Missions made for multiple terrain maps: - Syria: MFDs, using the above Viewport configuration, worked properly, without issue. This was a multiple aircraft mission. - Nevada: Good results but Instant Action only - Kola: Same as Syria....all good. - Afghanistan: Same as Nevada...all good. - Cold War: DCS freezes, most times have to reboot; 10% CTD and I can restart. Reboot, again, most times. All Bad, whether any type of mission on CW map.
  22. I had a 7-8 year old I7 intel MoBo that wouldn't go Win11. Had an AMD Vega GPU, which I really loved for years. It was so easy to setup and use. It was powerful enough to get me into VR for a few years, but end of Win10 and needing more power for retina-quality VR forced an much-needed upgrade. My old system served me well for many years.
  23. I, too, went with the 9950X3D, and it's smoking. Glad to hear your results are similar. I added the 5090 to ensure I was adequately future-proofed, and now I'm just waiting for my Pimax Super. Very excited about the prospects because my old system struggled with DCS.
  24. I did more thorough testing the past few days, and the HAD cursor acceleration is still too quick.
