Is there an easy way to check that the patch has installed correctly as the GUI does not indicate correctly the beta version you are running?

Any headset geared for "gaming" in my experiance are just pieces of overpriced junk especially the 5.1 type. If you could really make surround sound work inside an earpiece of a set of cans then most music/sound technicians and audiophiles would use them. Its just a gimmick and you are best using your souncards/AV units built in software produced surround. Do yourself and your ears a big favour and invest in a descent pair of Stereo headphones from the likes of Sennheiser, AKG, Denon or Beyerdynamic and then buy a 3.5 male to female stereo lead and a notebook mic. Use a couple of cable ties to mount mic to side of your cans and you have a headset that will far outlast most of the "gaming" toys you can purchase and give you far superior sound quality plus you also have an excellent set of music headphone for chilling out with. I did as you said ie copied all the tracks into the correct folders, so each folder contains the copied track file along with the lua file that came with your mod. I am able to see the training menu in the game but they wont launch. Any further ideas?

Wind, Tumble weed! No one had this proplem on the A10 campagain? I disabled the few mods I was running and still it happens time and again. Surely the AI should be able to return to base and the re arm and take off without stacking his plane!

I am playing the FC2 A10 campagin and have had this happen bug happen every time myself and my AI wingman return to base to load up and refuel. Basicaly I load up and taxi back to runway and get clearance for TO and proceed with my departure. My AI wingy states he is "Rolling" then crashes into a ground vehicle or takes a short cut to the runway across the grass! End result crashing and burn:doh: Is this a known bug and will it be addressed in a future patch.

I was able to preorder a copy of the manual today on Amazon uk. It does say 1-2 weeks dispatch though.

Thanks for the mod Fusion. I found it gave me a few extra FPS on laptop which is much appreciated. Problem is I am unable to find your DCS BS version of the sound mod. Do you have a linky, please?

Shame:cry: Simmods A10 is the epiphany of a community developed mod, as far as I am concerned. Hopefully the planes in the ED missions will be opened up for modding as the missions themselves are well written and engaging (thank you ED).

It may have been already highlighted that the Simmods beautiful A10 mod, has a cockpit glitch (cockpit texture out of alignment near canopy edges) when flying the ED designed A10 missions. This glitch however it does not appear in the QS mission or any mission made in the editor.:huh: Just wondering if there is a fix or someone is working on a fix for a future update? Apologies if this topic has already been raised, but I am unable to see any reference to it using the search facility.

Nice suggestion StrongArm. I hope you didn't mind my suggestion of a UK fix to your profile as unfortunately this crops up with UK keyboard layouts and other hardware profiles e.g. CH product profiles etc.

As StrongHarm states, this software is awesome and well worth the $18 of any simmers money. One word of caution to any UK keyboard users thinking of downloading StrongHarms excellent profile, it will not work unless you change the \ key stroke to a # key. Its not a major issue and can be rectified easily, but thought I should mention it all the same.

When I load up FC2, my TrackIR software loads up Black Shark profile title instead of the Lock On FC2 profile. I have updated the TrackIR natural point software to the latest version but still it loads BS instead of FC2 in the titles profile. I did a search but could only find people with problems relating to TrackIR not working. Any one else having this problem and is there a fix?

Not a happy customer. Downloaded all three files and paid for my activation key but I am unable to install. I have LockOn GOLD and DCS BS installed, but when I run LOCKON2 I receive a message "LockOn 1.1 not found!Installation interrupted". LockOn (first disc of LockOn Gold) installed to C\ Ubisoft\ Program Files (x86)\ Ubisoft\ Eagle Dynamics\ Lock On. Could you please advise me as to how this game is ment to be installed. I see a few people have had similar trouble on the froum and I am very disappointed you guys at ED couldn't come up with an easier way to install. I have tried to uninstall LockOn (1st disk in Gold edition) and re install but same problem. I really dont want to touch my FC 1.12 install (C/ GAMES/ Eagle Dynamics/ Lock On - Flaming Cliffs) as I really enjoy playing it, so please give me some pointers.

So to reward us all with the longer than announced release, they are charging us more because they feel that their time in developing and adding extra content (we have yet to see or judge) should justify a 100% price increase. I am sorry, but this stinks and the timing of the announcement ie just before launch, STINKS. I am quite lucky to be able to afford this without any inconvenience, but I will not be purchasing it or any other DCS release from now on as this way of handling business is truly criminal. I have loved every release you guys have made and have happily purchased the games and accompanying manuals with gusto, but this is a sorry state of affairs. I look forward to hear how the community receives your timely announcement. I am sure many will happily pay top dollar for this no doubt awesome add on, but will they be truly happy with the way it has been handled? I will let their conscience decide. I never thought I would post a derogatory post about DCS on any forum, I am truly p****d off with this announcement.:cry:

I run LOMAC and DCS on my Dell Studio Laptop and both run quite well. DCS fps drops on maps where there is lots of action such as BATTLE but all in all its playable with Textures high, Vis Med, Water low (config), Shadows Active planarand heat blur OFF. Dell spec: Intel i7 720QM (1.6Ghz to 2.8Ghz Turbo mode), ATI 4650 mobility, 17.3" 1650x900, 4 Gb DDR5, 500 gb 7200rpm HDD. This cost me £730. Which isnt bad for the spec.

Really like the mod dragon but I hate the dirty windows effects, is there a way of omitting this part of your mod?

It is a very nice mod, but like the LOMAC version, I find the scenery too green and thus not a true representation of the terrain in Spring through to Autumn, which is a pity as if the "green" was toned a little I think it would be spot on.

I have tried installing in different sections of my HHD ie C: Program Files etc but this had no effect. When trying to reinstall the patch, I still get "BS install not found". The game loads fine except for the graphics glitch I have raised. If I do a fresh reinstall of the game, would I have to re activate, thus loseing an activation? I would like information as to who to contact at ED for direct support for this issue as its becoming anoying, especialy as I have followed the instructions for installing the game and patch. Please, could someone from ED give me any help with this matter?

Tried that suggestion but still the same. Any further suggestions.

Hi, I have just loaded BS on my laptop but I am experiancing a strange graphics clitch. If someone could give me any info as how I can correct this it would be appreciated. Specs are: Dell 1747 Studio laptop. Windows 7 64 all upto date Intel Core i7 cpu ATI mobility 4650 1GB catalyst 9.12 4GB DDR 3 BS was loaded directly from the DVD and then patched to 1.01c English version. No mods have been installed and I have tried to load the patch again but it come up an error " Black Shark is not found. Reinstall application." I have installed DCS BS to C:\ GAMES\ Eagle Dynamics\ Ka-50 so dont understand whats wrong there:huh:
