Which updater should I use? The one in DCS World\bin\ Or the one in _downloads\bin\? EDIT: There is only one updater! Sorry!

I ran the run.exe inside the _downloads folder. It launched, is now not responding loading Su-25T free-flight.

Does the amount downloaded keep increasing though? I thought it changed to an unpacking bar for torrents only, not http?

My PC task manager says the inernet is downloading SOMETHING....

Still donwloading. I don't want to stop. This is a fresh install of DCS, does that make a difference?

Having attempted to install DCS 2.5 several times, I can establish that the HTML download option is broken. Consistently, the downloaded would download files that are larger than the actual listed size, than not extract or install anything. This would be fine if there was consistently enough peers to torrent, but often there are only 2 or 3 peers online!

This project hasn't died has it? I was getting so excited...

I had serious trouble using the updater to complete the update. Slow downloads, downloading larger file sizes than listed, stopping half way through, having no peers, etc. What fixed all these was to uninstall and install clean. No probs with the install process so far ;)

Any other interest in aircraft other than WW2? I’m living in Europe currently but will be back in Aus by the end of the year, and looking into different squadrons to fly with.

Actually, now that I think about it... DCS World REALLY needs a Cessna 172. What flight sim doesn’t have one? ;D

Better AI! Not true, several NATO countries operate the Mig-29 in some variant or another. Even the USAF owns several for use in dissimilar air combat training! :music_whistling: A full-fidelity Mig-29 would balance out any modern western aircraft they make. HOWEVER, I vote no new aircraft till all the AI has a major overhaul, and actually thinks for themselves. :smilewink:

How do I find and edit ground texture? And building textures, and FARP textures, etc...
