I joined a MP game with good ping. Fired off 6 hellfires at armored targets, and watched the weapons splash on target without killing anything.

After ejecting, pilot model is all orange, with big red TNT letters on his ass.

I checked the SU 25 PDF manual in DCS world, there is no weapons information. Stand-off ranges, weapon types/primary uses etc. Where can I get this information?

I fixed mine...conflicting control assignments. Trackir Z axis defaults to the zoom in and out. I wanted to use the key controls instead. I did not have my trackir software running when I started the sim to setup controls, so when I checked for conflicts I didn't see any, because trackir controls don't show up in the controls list if it isnt running when you start the sim. I deleted the trakir z axis in the zoom controls.

I didn't know that. I thought the 25T was their latest and greatest. It does seem to be better at SEAD than its primary roll of ground attack. I'm determined to make a mission now to prove my point. [grin]

I've been messing around for a few days and getting into the heads of the engineers on this one. It seems really outclassed by U.S. hardware. It might be a good aircraft for taking out some, chechen rebels somewhere, but on a modern battlefield it ain't gonna make it. Maybe they have 10,000 of these aircraft to throw into the front, but if you don't know right where the enemy is located (unlikely in modern mobile warfare), it isn't going to survive. I would make some mission to prove my hypothesis if it wasn't so damned complicated to do. Thought from some fellow pilots of this thing?

I'm using trackir, but I cant zoom the in cockpit view with numpad "*" and "/" like I can in the A-10. The controls are mapped the same in the SU-25T. Thus, my view is smashed up into the HUD so close i cant operate the plane. Is this a known issue?

I only had A10 standalone without DCS world installed. Oh well, installing now, I'll see how it goes. Remapping everything is an all day job.

Is it possible to import my mapped key controls from A-10 stand alone install to A-10 v1.2?

I reloaded some GBUs after landing. When I tried to use them, I got this error "laser code mismatch". So how do I know what laser code the bombs want to see?

Which begs the question...what is the default function of the space bar? I can reset to default for commands...but the UI wont let you reset deault for KEYS. Second stage gun trigger...I have it assigned to space, because my joystick doesnt have two stage trigger. But I did try pulling the trigger :)

Tutorials will say "press space bar to continue". Nothing happens. My space bar is assigned as second stage trigger. Does it need to be something else for tutorials to recognize it?

I patched. I get an integrity check error when joining multi-player. Does everyone have this problem? Do I have to do a full re-install?

The default HOF is much too low. Go to inventory page, and reload the bomb, set the HOF to 1500 feet. You will get a much larger bomb pattern.

Huh? Is this a real life thing? Is it modeled in the game? If it is, how would a shell with a barometric sensitive fuse (only technical way I can think of to do this in reality) know what the altitude of your home airfield is, so as to explode on landing? Th person setting the fuse would have to know your airfield altitude. Weird, and unlikely. Maybe you were joking? :) I've had this problem with my gear. One airfield has a big (invisible) pothole in the taxiway, it blows a tire every time at the same spot in the taxiway. Had this happen on takeoff once too. Ripped the nose gear off just before rotating.

You can get the runway headings from the CDU divert page. Or you can open the map with F10, and click on the runway. Look in the info box.

I also hear him say he's "RTB and clearing off" when he gets to last waypoint....but he doesn't. Watch him, he will continue to fly the pattern. Regarding the data link, you have to go through the entire JTAC/AFAC radio sequence, the last thing he will do is give you the data link. It goes something like "I'm here JTAC, reporting in", he gives you target coordinates, then you read them back, then he gives you follow up information, THEN he gives you the data link. I used to make the mistake of bombing the target without reading the coordinates back. It screws up the JTAC logic.
