Ah yes that is possible, I only have 8Gb RAM right now. I will chuck in another 8Gb and see how it goes. Thanks :-) (Although I suspect these issues will disappear if DCS get's native WMR support)

Just wanted to ask if anyone is having problems where the SteamVR waiting room occasionally pops up for a split second during flight?

It's definitely worth waiting for the next generation of VR. You cannot get the same feeling of immersion even on a 200" screen :-)

LOL that's hilarious. As amusing as it is to see joysticks used in vehicles and aircraft, seeing a warthog throttle as a random bit of science hardware just makes me chuckle :-)

If you can get it cheap, why not, have some fun while you wait for the next generation of headsets. But at full price it's worth waiting to see how things pan out at the end of the year.

Oh please, you make it sound like I've cheated you out of something. I did my best with the limited title space, and that's why I posted the article so that everyone could get the full details. Like I said, it's a head mounted display, they will most likely be showing it inside a headset.

A new display for a VR headset! Unless you can think of some other way to stick a 4.3" 5k screen in front of your face ;-) Their presentation lists: "18 Mpixel 4.3-in. 1443-ppi 120-Hz OLED Display for Wide-Field-of-View High-Acuity Head-Mounted Displays" I guess it's possible they won't be showing it off inside a headset (although that would seem kind of silly to me, given the specifications, since the naked eyes would not do a screen like this any justice).While it doesn't say it directly, it strongly suggests that 5k headset is coming soon and that is exciting to me :D

Since you have FC3, you might find it easier to learn how to fly using the F-15 as it's a far more friendly plane handling wise :-) Of course I think the best thing to do is just fly the plane you like the best, you'll get a feel for it all faster than you think.
