  1. Also something for the skinners - artistic grime removal
  3. Those are part of the President-S system which works without pilot input. https://russianmilitaryphotos.wordpress.com/2012/03/22/the-l370-5-president-s-countermeasures-suite/
  4. 'Return Fire' means the gunners shoot when getting shot at but trucks don't do that. Set the gunners to 'Free Fire' and see how that works.
  5. The track I provided is single player and I never had Random System Failure enabled.
  6. Well, this is one of the cases where you can admire how realistic the AI is: - they instantly know where you are no matter what. You need to get to 4.3 km, they shoot at you from 4.5 km. If you play hide and seek you're dead. - If on the other hand you just fly straight at them they won't shoot at you even if you get close enough to shake their hands. They might shoot at you when you've passed them and fly away again. - So, if I want to shoot tanks I go to a sufficient altitude, stabilize in their direction, engage altitude hold (or adjust collective to fly level) and fly towards them at around 120 km/h. Shoot one or two, turn around, maybe weave through the buildings to feel important and then just rinse and repeat. I don't need to tell you how realistic this is but it works...
  7. I was somewhat amazed that even in a WW2 dogfight (Spitfire against 190 A-8 ) I was thrown about quite a bit when following the AI in a pure pursuit during his climbs with a slight right turn... I thought my joystick was doing uncommanded inputs but I checked it and that was not the case.
  8. Also, from a cursory image search, it becomes clear that GDR Mi-8s actually had 'ACHTUNG ROTOR' written on them so whoever did that graphic didn't do their research let alone a spell check. The Mi-24s had 'GEFAHR'. Here are quite a few pics, all with 'ACHTUNG ROTOR' from what I can see.
  9. Should anyone want to create this skin please be aware that it's 'VORSICHT' with a 'T', not 'Vorsich' which isn't a word in existence.
  10. Try this track - hope it works. Sight fails while I'm in time acceleration at the end of the track in the third Spitfire I use. In the first Spitfire it is gone shortly but there I switched it off.
  11. You're right! I found it hard to believe but yes, both the Huey and Ka-50 don't have the light show in their cockpits anymore. Very nice! In the Huey the cargo area still lights up but that is somewhat secondary to me...
  12. Not the fault of the description.lua, though. If I name my custom cockpit 'default' it works (so the description.lua works), if I give it a custom name and select it in the custom cockpit list it gets ignored.
  13. I noticed that I still had a mod installed, so let's try again without it: still not great on the original screen but decent on a second monitor as export.
  14. Although it's not great, I can get a decent picture by adjusting IT-23 contrast and brightness. As you see in the first picture it's a pitch black night (new moon) but you see the Tank on the screen. It's easier if you have a second monitor for sensor export (pic 2). You can't lock targets but still destroy them (pic 3).
  15. My sight just failed, so I guess not.
  16. What do you mean? This one still works https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3826998&postcount=2
  17. That blur from the shock wave - wow!
  18. I'm using the Ricardo Blue cockpit but the numbers (PVI800, flare dispenser, and ammo counter) are still the same and very legible.
  19. Also the same here.
  20. Definitely there in the Spitfire.
  21. Gunners for the Huey would be extremely helpful - also to act as spotters so I actually know what killed me...
  22. I tried the Nylon one for the FSSB R3 and it's not strong enough - it doesn't break but there is a lot of flex. So I took steel. I also took the 13° forward angle as I find that way more comfortable - my stick is mounted not on the desk but lower with a desk mount.
  23. Have a look here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3747403&postcount=5
  24. Take a look at the rotor blades when that happens, I think you'll see that they have broken off (not completely but they are shorter).
  25. From my understanding it should not be a problem. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=229207&highlight=steam+transfer
