  1. I have them installed in \Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\Cockpit_MiG-29S\English\ (and ...-29A\... ...-29G\...) and they work fine for me with FC3 (although that shouldn't make a difference).
  2. Does it not work at all for you? For me, the standard comms menu works on the ground but in the air I need the 'push-to-talk' to bring up the menu.
  3. Thank you for that! I have been using this for a while now, works like a charm.
  4. Here is a more complete one by Automan https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3826959&postcount=11
  5. Cool, thank you! Mine works for me now but it's best to have all material names
  6. Haha, I did the same after I found your other thread and actually got a lua now that works for my needs, so thank you and Automan for the inspiration  And thanks again for your great update here, I'm really enjoying it!
  7. The Spitfire cockpit seems to have some shortcomings (strange sun, reflections), some of which have been fixed (green tint of the armored windshield) while others haven't yet. There are some mods floating around as remedies but so far, I had to install those textures via OvGME which often broke integrity check on MP-servers. Finally, after a lot of trial and error, I've managed now to get a working description.lua so that I don't need to use OvGME anymore for the mods I use and it passes IC. Feel free to try it out. No warranties/guarantees, though! Copy to \Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\Cockpit_Spitfire_LFMkIX\default (create folders as necessary). I only provide the description.lua as the mods I use aren't mine in the majority. Not sure how to attach one file to two posts, so please look here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3826429&postcount=8
  8. OK, I think I managed to get the lua in way that it actually works now - though, should there be mistakes, looking forward to corrections! Also, if you have tips how to analyze the edm a bit quicker, this took me some time...
  9. OK, finally I seem to be getting *somewhere*, here is a first revised lua. Still, help is appreciated...
  10. Hi Automan, could you do me a favor, too? I'm trying to get a description.lua for the Spitfire cockpit and the one I got gets ignored, unfortunately. Could you tell me how to effectively analyze the edm, please? So far, I used the string command under linux as advised here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3658004&postcount=92 In this thread I see that there might be dashes in the material names that aren't there in the material names (mig29 -- Mig-29) but I fail to see something similar in my edm_string. I attached the description I got (for the textures I need) - do you by chance see the mistake(s) I'm making? Thank you! Not sure if I may attach the edm_string but if you need it please advise - thanks!
  11. Thank you for the new cockpit! Could you give me pointers regarding the description.lua? Is there a way to extract that now? I would need it for the Spitfire...
  12. So I ran the routine again and deleted the fxo and metashaders2 folders in C:\Users\user\Saved Games\DCS\ again. Still see it but noticed that it's definitely linked to the canopy as the sun looks normal once I open the (canopy) glass (first picture with open canopy: you see the disc in the front left window but not with the open canopy, pictures two and three are the mirror with canopy open and closed). It also still shows through the front dash.
  13. That setting doesn't make a difference for me, I have the effect with both on or off. Do you see a difference? My way of testing: disable mods - run an update/repair/clean routine - use the instant action/Caucasus/free flight mission - bank right, look left at the sun through the left wing So when you do the same you don't have the 'strange sun' anymore?
  14. I still have it, though
  15. Have you tried IrfanView? Shows *.dds for me, don't know if it provides the info you're looking for.
  16. F-16 und Fw 190D/Ta 152 für mich.
  17. Not sure why this file was introduced but apart from solving one problem it introduces some others... Residing in [DCS]\Bazar\World\Shapes\, maybe it got introduced because of but led to as the whole UH-1H reflectivity is affected and not only the glass. The only values pertaining to glass are { "uh-1_glass_dm": { "reflMult": 0.14000000059604644775, "reflAdd": 0.085000000894069671631, "specMult": -0.20000000298023223877, "specAdd": 0.123999999463558197021, "specSelect": 1, "albedoLevel": 0.11100000143051147461, "albedoContrast": 1.0 }, "uh-1_glass": { "reflMult": 0.75, "reflAdd": 0.013000000268220901489, "specMult": -0.16400000452995300293, "specAdd": 0.119599999487400054932, "specSelect": 1, "albedoLevel": 0.16699999570846557617, "albedoContrast": 0.75 }, "uh1_colorglass": { "reflMult": 1.0, "reflAdd": 0.0, "specMult": -1.2999999523162841797, "specAdd": 1.0, "specSelect": 1, "albedoLevel": 0.0, "albedoContrast": 1.0 }, "uh-1_glass_dam": { "reflMult": 1.0, "reflAdd": 0.0, "specMult": -1.2999999523162841797, "specAdd": 1.0, "specSelect": 1, "albedoLevel": 0.0, "albedoContrast": 1.0 } } while the rest seems superfluous to me. Thanks to berk.kp for finding the culprit file! I have attached a cleaned version which simply replaces the original file via OvGME or direct copy. In that version, I have also changed two values to make the glass more reflective as I prefer that effect. If you wish to revert to original values, delete the (1) in the following lines: "uh-1_glass_dm": { "specAdd": 0.(1)23999999463558197021, (orig 0.23...) "uh-1_glass": { "specAdd": 0.(1)19599999487400054932, (orig 0.19...) I can't attach *.json so I zipped the file. Incidentally, I also made it OvGME ready that way... ab-212_lods_json.zip
  18. Again, it's the ab-212.lods.json ... Look at the values: "pilot_UH1_patch": "pilot_UH1_01": this washes out the colors of the vests "pilot_UH1_helmet": and change them accordingly or just delete them.
  19. That's not my understanding of refraction. In this video, you see that the horizon stays the same and is not shifted down like in your example but you can see lower (eg from 03:43 where he shifts sideways).
  20. Weird - I don't seem to be getting the same. However, in my Spanish UN skin, the gunners use the normal pilot_UH1_02 with black vests, not blue ones. Edited for a pic with more sunlight.
  21. What's your problem with the uniforms?
  22. Unfortunately, for me this now leads to the tail being too shiny on the skins, especially the flat ones, so I reverted back again...
