I'm always amazed what kind of rather specific information you can (try to) deduce from a smudge on a lens... Also, no need to pull Star Wars into this (Kuat Shipyards) lmao

AFAIK: mod or no mod - there are no NVGs for the F-15 or FC3 fighters. There is a way for ground attack FC3 planes.

Since the latest update I can't Refuel, Rearm or get Repair
ams999 replied to LuckyFromArma's topic in DCS: UH-1H
Nah, you can rearm and refuel when putting the comms selector to INT (or anything *but* PVT, really) with the engine running. No need to turn the engine off. -
Do not forget this Ornithopter. Closer to the modern version in design than the Lynch movie's version the game was based on. (Edit: You see the ornithopter only in the first two seconds of the vid, after that it's - Dune.)

Rather an abomination to my eyes, unfortunately. Those machines always look to me like the Bf-109 started using Synthol like a bodybuilder who didn't want to put in the effort... Or maybe the 109 has an allergic reaction. Something along those lines.

Yes, but we're talking about DCS here, soo....

I'm not sure it's all that easy to fix - when the official skins got an overhaul a few years back, someone used a wide brush and painted over many details including, but by no means limited to, the flap indicators. Just compare the *.dds from the bugged official skins with the ones from non-bugged liveries. It might take quite a restoration effort to get all the details back. As such, see you next year for the four-year anniversary I suppose See also:

"Helicopters are allowed to receive AWACS messages." How do I make this work? The radio menu is lacking the AWACS entry (in the Huey and Ka-50 at least)
-
lulz The UFO probably just wanted to check whether the Frecce Tricolori would pull a stunt like they did in Ramstein 1988.
-
This of course would require for stable to not get this change but I think one has seen often enough that... ahem... features... get handed down to stable without any changes. This kinda negates the sentiment that stable vs. open beta would be the 'core issue'.

All of this feels like some low effort trolling, really. Here is a debunking of the 2009 Turkey video, among other things with a glitch in the date (around the 50 second mark): Here is the 2009 video published 2011 with the time stamp shortly before the date glitch (which is occurring around 2:08/2:09): And then, that channel has an "Increased Quality Version" published 2014 *after* the debunking video, missing that glitch (and probably the others, didn't check) - it looks like the hoax creators took the criticism to heart. So maybe it's medium effort trolling after all lmao

Unfortunately, no. Also, should you get the feeling that it was fixed, simply check the date on the original file (provided you used something like OvGME and didn't delete the original file). If that file's date isn't very recent (like last patch recent) it wasn't fixed.

I had deleted fxo and metashaders before my test and I didn't see a change.

Yes, for me also still low fps, just as before.
-
ASPI stands for "Aircraft Survivability Product Improvement" which sounds so generic that I'll probably have forgotten by tomorrow...
-
When you say "some years ago" I don't know how long ago that might be, but maybe check my comment below, even though it, too, is a few years old. HTH

Do AMD drivers have a similar setting? Because my fps have bombed hard on the Marianas map... I could stand a doubling of the frame rate there, if not tripling or quadrupling. I have a Vega 64 which is still listed as recommended even for VR (Vega 56 for high settings) and, well, not getting there...

LMFAO, that is brilliant!

I think that's because in those situations the AP doesn't actually engage and flips back to off automatically. The hardware switch on your controller however forces the cockpit AP switch in the up position, similar to a pilot forcing the AP switch up with his finger and actively holding it there. As soon as he takes his finger off the AP switch it flips to off, never engaging. It only *looks* like it's working in those situations but it isn't, really.

This still works for me.

If anyone wants to have a go at it, I took the APKWS code from \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\CoreMods\aircraft\A-10\A-10C_2.lua and put it in \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Scripts\Database\helicopters\AB-212ASW.lua
-
I could add the APKWS to the Huey but I can't get them to fire. Unless someone knows how to get them to fire it's just eye candy, unfortunately. I also could add the 3x APKWS launcher which looks quite funny and reaches a bit below the surface when on the ground (same goes for Hellfires from the AH-64D, which also won't fire).

Can confirm, both on the pilot's and copilot's side the pressure adjustment knobs don't have any function right now, neither with mouse nor keyboard commands.
