Which module(s) are you trying this in and how to do you have DCS / Vaicom configured (e.g. is Easy Comms on or off, do you use select tunes radio etc)? Have you tried using the command when DCS is not running? I know the kneeboard won't show, but when I try it the command is recognised When in the cockpit with the kneeboard open and in dictation mode, what does the PTT tab of Vaicom config show (i.e. does it show the correct module with the correct PTT mapping)?

The best thing to do is to contact @Hollywood_315 directly, either by sending him a private message on these forums (click on his name and you should be taken to his profile page where there is a Private Message button) or to e-mail support@vaicompro.com. To help diagnose: Do you use the standard DCS kneeboard, or have you built a custom one using Kneeboard builder or similar? Which airframe(s) have you tried this with and in what types of missions?

When you use Jester... options, a wheel will appear with big numbers inside the actions / titles (this is the Vaicom version of the Heatblur wheel). Take 1 will pick action 1, take 2 will pick action 2 etc. In turn these may open another wheel of options where you would do the same again. As an example Jester,,,options might show a wheel with Navigate at the top and a 1 underneath. Take 1 would select this option and show the navigation options with Steerpoint 1 with a 1 inside it, steerpoint 2 with a 2 inside it etc. Take 2 would then tell Jester to navigate to Steerpoint 2

You can have the Vaicom version but not the Heatblur original. Get this up by saying 'Jester....options' and then Take 1, Take 2 etc

I use Kneeboard Builder and mine works fine, but I don't build complete custom kneeboards just custom pages which are then added to the normal kneeboard

@SPAS79 what is your hardware / software setup (i.e. what other software do you have running at the same time)? Also, are there any issues appearing in the log file (if you don't have debug on in Vaicom try enabling this and see if it gives any clues) if you open it after a crash? The log can be found at <VoiceAttack install directory>\Apps\VAICOMPRO\Logs

I wouldn't fly without it, and the new interactive kneeboard extension is heaven in VR:thumbup:

I have just loaded the take-off mission in it

Patch notes go up before the download goes live - could be a few hours before you can download

Patch notes up and look really good https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/news/official-updates/201318-dcs-world-2-5-changelog-and-updates-of-open-beta?p=7143349#post7143349

I think you need to select Manage DCS-side files manually on the Config screen to avoid the lua over-write. You will just need to remember to either un-check this after each DCS update, start-up to get the lua changes and then check again, or follow the manual process yourself whenever required

1. Have you purchased the kneeboard licence and activated it? 2. If yes to 1, is kneeboard in both the Vaicom alias list and the VA profile list? Away from PC - sent using Tapatalk

They won't appear there as they are phrases contained within the AIRIO profile. They should be in a separate section in the VA profile list - page 43 of the manual covers this and how to import them if they are not there

Does the rest of Vaicom carry on working normally?
-
Have you set the Extended Command Set option in Vaicom config's Preferences page?
-
Glad to know it is fixed - for other users experiencing similar running as admin is recommended (or setting elevated privileges on the folders you need)
-
@mibo The best thing to do normally is to check the existing threads to see if the problem is already discussed (I know we are all still learning the new forum software so not as easy as it used to be) and, if not, to start a new thread with your specific problem. In terms of your issue the custom DCS path just needs to point at the main folder where you have DCS installed - also check the Fix Reg option to ensure that the Windows registry is correct. Also, make sure that the Standalone / Steam and Stable / Openbeta sliders are correctly set. If this doesn't fix the problem please could you turn on Vaicom's debug option, restart Voiceattack and then post the Vaicom log here for us to help you further Edit: Just checking you are running VA / Vaicom as an administrator
-
Have you also tried a repair of DCS with the apps closed? Please could you turn on debug in the Vaicom config, close VA, re-open and post the Vaicom log here (either screenshot or the log file) so that we can see if there are any clues Away from PC - sent using Tapatalk

Have you used the Vaicompro app to launch it? If so, you need to close the app before closing VA. If your problem is the other way round (closing after launching) are there any hints in the log files and which versions of VA / Vaicom are you using? Away from PC - sent using Tapatalk

If you open the Vaicom config > PTT tab while you are in cockpit what does it show (from your settings I am guessing that it is TX3)? is the TX node you are trying to use shown as in use? Have you checked your TX mappings in the Voiceattack profile page for Vaicom (Pencil icon next to the profile name on the VA main window) and confirmed that TX3 is mapped to the button you are using
-
It is now controlled from the switch in cockpit (you may need to toggle a PTT to get it to sync at the start of a mission).
-
OK - if you go to the Editor tab in Vaicom config and then push the test button does the log say that the lists match or does the FINISH button light up?
-
Which add-ons / extensions do you have for Vaicom? Away from PC - sent using Tapatalk
-
Yes, just use the keys you have mapped in DCS for navigating the between Vaicom's page and the others in the kneeboard Away from PC - sent using Tapatalk
