Please could you turn on Vaicom debug (top option on the Config tab of the Vaicom configuration), close VA, restart it and then post the log file here. The log file can be found in your Vaicom install > log folder. Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk

This isn't a separate kneeboard to the standard DCS one, it just adds the Vaicom kneeboards on top. I think the sizing is therefore a DCS issue

I believe REL is short for release. If REL HOT is selected (lit up) it means that listening will not be suspended when the PTT is released Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk

Which plane are you in? It was populated for me last night so I am wondering if it maybe airframe specific

Have you tried the Hot Rel option on the PTT tab of the Vaicom config screen. This leaves the system in listening mode for daisy chained profiles so you do not need to press a PTT key (Vaicom will ignore the message if no PTT is pressed)? This is not a solution to the Hot Mic switch, but may allow you to have a workaround in the meantime

@MartusteIt definitely works in the F-18 because I was flying that earlier. Have you correctly registered your kneeboard licence in Vaicom - if you go to the About tab of the Vaicom Config screen and press the black circle under list it will tell you what licences you have registered. Is Interactive Kneeboard in that list?

Can you see it if you are not in VR? What does the VA log say when you use the Kneeboard command?

Sirrah - do you have autobrowse turned on in the Vaicom options? If not, you will need to say Anvil...Page, Tower...Page etc

As @mudfysh says you will need to say Page at the end of each command (apart from the Show... ones) unless you have turned on auto browse in the Vaicom config options. This means you can just say Chief, AWACs etc but if you are on another Kneeboard page (for instance an airfield map) when a message comes in with information to go on the kneeboard, Vaicom will automatically turn it back to the Vaicom kneeboard page

I have a southern England accent and have not had too many problems, apart from odd words (and airfield names) where I have had to add aliases (tune and two / to / too being a particular pain in the proverbial). I don't use VA for anything apart from DCS at the moment so cannot really compare to anything else but, like Sirrah, I have really good rates of recognition. If you run Vaicom with its debug option on does the log file tell you why the words aren't recognised - is it that they are being misheard or are being heard correctly but with too low a confidence level? Are your VA options set up as shown in the Vaicom manual - just trying to see why you seem to be getting poor usability Do you use a headset with mic or an external mic (including potentially a VR headset) with sound from speakers. If the latter there is an NVidia noise cancelling app which did a really good job when I tested it (not sure whether it works with 1080 cards)

Out of curiosity, are the others just profiles for VA or are they plugins? Another tip is to try slowing your pace of speech slightly for Vaicom - this may make a big difference. Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk
