Are there any unusual startup messages in the log? Have you tried renaming the export.lua in the saved games\scripts folder? Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk

How fast are you speaking the phrases, and are you naturally a fast or slow talker? If a fast speaker then the VSPX speech option may work better for you. I think the difference with most profiles is that they are just triggers to activate key combinations where Vaicom is trying to break down the phrases into a set of individual parts which are then processed behind the scenes into DCS. I haven't tried JTAC recently but what you have described sounds more like a data refesh issue. Does the JTAC respond once the information is visible on the page? Is this a mission you have created or can share? If so, please could you attach it to a post and I / others can then have a play to see if we can replicate. Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk

VAICOM not responding to most of my supercarrier ATC calls
hornblower793 replied to sirrah's topic in VAICOM
That will definitely help and I can see why that wording is ambiguous. I will drop@Hollywood_315 an email to see if that wording can be changed (I am just a user like you) Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk -
"REQUEST NVG" / "REQUEST LAUNCH" / "HORNET BALL" Commands not working.
hornblower793 replied to Hotstepper's topic in VAICOM
Does the log show that Hornet Ball is recognised as a command? If not, either try training that command some more or add an alias that it can recognise (you can also do this for Salute). To add an alias: 1. Open Vaicom config and go to the EDITOR tab 2. Select the command phrase you wish to create an alias for and click ADD NEW. This should give you a copy of the command with 1 at the end (e.g. copying Test case would give you Test case1) 3. Click to place the cursor at the start of the phrase (so before the T of Test case1), type in the new name you want in front of the old text and then delete the old text. e.g. To change Test case1 to New command you would click to the left of the T, type New command to get a string reading New commandTest case1 and then delete Test case1 to be left with New command 4. Do this with any other commands you wish to add aliases for 5. Press the FINISH button and follow the instructions to add these to the VA profile Also, if you haven't already done it there is an option in the Windows speech recognition settings to recognise non native accents Hope this helps Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk -
VAICOM not responding to most of my supercarrier ATC calls
hornblower793 replied to sirrah's topic in VAICOM
You should just need to say Marking Moms without the carrier name first. If it is still not recognising it please could you post the log file here (not the screen shot) so we can see if there are any clues in it Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk -
"REQUEST NVG" / "REQUEST LAUNCH" / "HORNET BALL" Commands not working.
hornblower793 replied to Hotstepper's topic in VAICOM
I have just tried on my rig and cannot get a response to Request Launch. [EDIT: Having re-read the DCS Supercarrier operations guide again (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/upload/iblock/3f9/DCS_Supercarrier_Operations_Guide_EN.pdf), Request Launch only works if you have landed and then want to take off again straight away] Having launched I then flew a case I (or at least attempted to as I haven't touched the Hornet in months ) and Hornet Ball worked fine for me. I then changed the weather to 0 visibility and, having called Marking Moms was able to get Established, Commencing etc to work in spite of my terrible flying Other users have also had issues with Request NVG so not sure what is happening there -
Try Show...Tasking Order - it should give you the mission briefing Pin is the DCS kneeboard and adds a bookmark for the page you are showing

VAICOM not responding to most of my supercarrier ATC calls

If you go into the VA profile list of commands (the pencil icon), is Marking Moms in the list of commands? Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk -
VAICOM not responding to most of my supercarrier ATC calls
hornblower793 replied to sirrah's topic in VAICOM
It is not just the supercarrier - unless they have been explicitly set otherwise, all ships in the escort group will have the same frequency and the closest one to you will respond Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk -

What does the VA log window say? I suspect you have been answered by another ship as they are all on the same frequency. Try using Marking Moms as your initial call rather than inbound, or use the name of the carrier...inbound Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk -
Help : Auto radio menu keeps appearing after latest open beta patch
hornblower793 replied to Jon Fenton's topic in VAICOM
Try removing the Export.lua in the Saved Games scripts folder and then restarting VA and then DCS. If this doesn't work try setting the custom path in the Vaicom Config -
Alternatively, say Anvil...Page where ... is a small pause.

Missed this one when it was posted. If still an issue it might be worth right-clicking on the task bar view of it, select move and then use the arrow keys on the keyboard to see if you can bring it back onto the screen Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk

I cannot uncheck this either and so am just checking with @Hollywood_315to see if this should be possible

This is true, but the Vaicompro app will still cause the UAC to appear if VA crashes Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk
-
True, but you will still get the UAC window asking you if you want to allow VA to make changes to your computer. As far as I know, the only way round this all the time and use the Vaicompro app is to turn UAC off. I run VA without enhanced privilege (my account is an administrator account on my own PC) but the UAC box still comes up if Vaicompro has to restart VA. One option would be to turn UAC off while using VA / DCS and then turn it back on once finished Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk

What kind of mic are you using? As well as boosting the mic, is it's volume turned up? Is the problem that speech is not hearing or not recognizing? Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk
-
No - rather than starting VoiceAttack directly start Vaicompro.exe and it will start VA for you. It then sits in your tooltray and restarts VA if it closes - depending on your Windows UAC settings you might need to Alt Tab to click yes on the privileges box. When you have finished you will then need to right click on the Vaicompro icon and Exit it before you close down VA, otherwise VA will just keep reloading Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk

There is - it is the Vaicom app Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk

I do like Dennis - may have to give that a try Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk

Screenshot attached - there are two TACAN Tunes - I was referring to the command phrase one in the list below. In terms of using 'oh' I didn't have to do anything - it may be to do with the speech recognition engine in use (mine is the Microsoft English (United Kingdom) one
-
The command phrases should just be spoken at a relatively slow pace so no need for pauses. I could not get the speech recognition to recognise tune reliably and ended up changing the phrase to radio freak rather than radio tune. Similarly i changed TACAN tune to tack freak. You can just make these changes in the VA profile since they are not keywords. I also say 'oh' rather than zero and dot rather than decimal. Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk

Are you starting VA using the Vaicompro app? If so, then that is why you have the issue. The Vaicompro app is there to restart VA / Vaicom as soon as it closes. To shut this down you will need to exit the Vaicompro app using its icon in the Windows notification area before shutting VA. To avoid this, just start VA directly. Page 38 of the Vaicom manual explains more Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk

Your symptoms sound similar to issues others have had. The attached post is how someone else resolved it so don't know if this will help you (I know you have reinstalled) https://forums.eagle.ru/index.php?/topic/168657-VAICOM-PRO-plugin-for-VoiceAttack#entry4538192 Are you running any Vaicom extensions?
