  2. Been hosting this multiple times now, theres been no lock ups or crashes whatsoever. Sounds like the problems some have been having are hardware related, the graphical glitches are definitely hardware issues.
  3. Don't get me wrong, I'm not worried about running out, I got black shark on the release day and I have only used 2 activations :) just wanted to fully understand how the licenses work.
  4. Sorry for being slow, but it is Monday... I have read through the thread, twice, and can't get if it only starts replenishing activations after you have spent all of them (as in you have 0 left) or if it starts to replenish at once? as in if you have 8 and use one, so that you now have 7, will it go back to 8 in 31 days?

  6. You can land on civilian traffic (buses) with the ka-50 so I don't see why you shouldn't be able to collide with a buss with the a-10. Unless they changed it.

I'm getting black flickering circles that sometimes cover my entire screen when looking in certain directions, mostly when looking into the sun, esp at sunset/rise due to the extra sun glare at that time. the black circles appear only when I'm moving my view and disappears when I hold it steady and only when I have HDR on. I have updated both my DirectX and my video card drivers. (the circle in this picture seems to be originating from the full moon that was behind me) I'm running the 32bit version on vista 64 and I have got an ati hd 4870 1 gb.
  10. There no such thing as laser cooldown when you fire vikhrs... anyways, switch the manual-auto weapon mode switch to manual if you are going to fire two vikhrs at once, it fixes this.
  11. There are no differential brakes on the ka-50, the brakes are controlled with the handle on the cyclic, so you got to turn with the rudder on the ground. But you can bind your toe brakes on your pedals to the brake on the cyclic, if you go to 'options' and then 'controls' and then select 'axis commands' from the drop down menu, you'll find the 'Wheel brake' axis there.

I tested only deactivating the shark (having it active right from the start and then deactivating the chopper if the conditions weren't meet (in this case it was a truck that needed to be killed)) last week and I tested it again now, doing exactly what you wrote above and came to the same conclusion. It works, If you are the host. Everyone else connecting to the mission ain't affected. You can not, it seems, activate or deactivate another client with triggers. But I think nemises idea could work pretty good, have the ka-50s spawn without fuel on a FARP next to maykop (and krasnodar for the blue team) without rearming and refueling units, then once maykop is captured have the rearming and refueling units spawn in. (just make sure no enemies are within range of the FARP before maykop is captured, you don't want a bunch of destroyed ka-50 husks blocking the spawn once maykop is captured)
  15. I did some testing, hosting the "activate client test" mission in FC2 and then joining with black shark and it didn't work. I'm afraid that the only one who can join in groups activated by triggers seems to be the one hosting the game. That, or you can't join ka-50 groups activated by triggers when the host is running FC2, I cant test which because I cant run two instances of black shark multiplayer at the same time. Is the 104th server running FC2 or black shark?

I tested it (removed most units out of US tank group 1 to speed things up) and it worked fine, is it just the ka-50s that wont work after you have destroyed the two groups at maykop or does it not even activate the other groups defending maykop for the red once its taken? You could try setting the trigger that sets flag 10 to true to "continuous action" instead of "once" and see if that changes anything, I have no experience doing triggers for multiplayer missions so I don't know if it handles things diffrently.

You can fix that by creating a third trigger like this: (assuming you have a trigger that sets flag 1 to true once the truck is dead) CONTINUOUS ACTION () > FLAG IS FALSE (1) > DEACTIVATE GROUP (Activate Ka50) If you have more than one ka-50 group then just add them in actions. If you want to get all fancy you could create a trigger like this instead: SWITCHED CONDITION () > FLAG IS FALSE (1) - GROUP ALIVE (Activate ka50) > DEACTIVATE GROUP (Activate Ka50) - MESSAGE (You can not spawn in this ka-50 yet) This will do the same thing, but allows you to have a message telling the player why he cant spawn. downside is that you will need to create one of these triggers for every black shark group instead of packing all of them into one trigger like in the first example.
  18. Got it to work. Switch the trigger type from "once" to "continuous action" (and remove the "message" unless you want to be spammed by messages :))
  19. Same as in DCS:black shark, shut off your engines and wait 3 minutes and it will "repair" your aircraft. Edit: I can confirm that the laser wont work after you have repaired, It just happened in my su-25.

This is a common misunderstanding, it does not lock itself. the scan function is there so that you don't have to constantly slew the skhval back and forth manually if you want to look in front of you when you are for example flying forwards. You cant and if the SAM is IR or Radar guided you won't get a warning either (unless you play with radio assistance on) There was a list somewhere posted by wags mentioning the possibility of an AH-64a Apache.
  22. Are there any other ways of holding the joystick in place other than screwing that plate thingy onto ones desk? I can't find any pictures of suction cups or anything else and I'm not too keen on the idea of drilling holes in my brand new desk.

There's an identical folder (also called WINGMAN1 with the identical sound files in it) in ...\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Sounds\EnglishVersion\RF\ You could try renaming that WINGMAN1 folder too and see if it helps. I am using the English version of the game with the English cockpit, the folders used might be different if you are using the German/French/Russian/Spanish version of the game or the Russian cockpit. You might have to try around a bit, you can always backup the entire sounds folder before you start renaming everything, if you are afraid of screwing something up :).

You can mute "yourself" by going to the folder called: ...\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\Sounds\EnglishVersion\USA\ and renaming the folder called WINGMAN1 to anything, I added a hyphen to the beginning like this: -WINGMAN1 As long as you alter it in any way the game wont recognize it and won't find the sound files and thus you wont hear "yourself" repeat what you just said into your mic. There shouldn't be any overlapping and it should only affect "your" voice as all wingmen have different folders with their own sounds. To "undo" all this simply rename the folder to WINGMAN1 again and everything will be back to normal.
