  1. If I understand the manual right, the laser is actually active as long as there is a count down timer on the hud and only when the text "ПАУЗА" is displayed is it in cool down mode (which is the same as not being on) Thus it is range finding for 8 seconds, and not 0.5 seconds + 7.5 cool down. same thing when firing vikhrs, those last 6 seconds that gets added isnt a cool down period, the laser is still active in case it takes longer for the vikhr to reach the target than the computer first had in mind, the laser will only start to cool down once the timer runs out (or, if "ПАУЗА" is displayed).
  2. Looks bent to me in this screenshot from DCS warthog:
  3. Theres already Lock on Gold, which is lock on and flaming cliffs combined and generally platinum is considered one higher than gold, thus it makes sense to call the lock on & flaming cliffs & flaming cliffs 2.0 pack "platinum" Lock on 2, sounds too much like a sequel which flaming cliffs 2.0 isn't.

MWL is the master warning light. Its the red light thats situated on the left side of the front panel, left of the vertical speed indicator and above the G-meter. You can press it to toggle through the error messages (if there are more than one) (the default keyboard shortcut to press it is "M")
  5. Don't forget Nevada :) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=45837
  6. First of all, make sure that the K-041 Targeting and Navigation systems power switch is in the on position (up) marked as number 1 in this picture. (this will already be on if you used the auto startup (left win + home)) Then check the weapon status panel (number 2) and make sure that the bottom row of 4 yellow lights are on, like in this picture. If the lights aren't on, then you haven't got any weapons on your wings, either add some weapons in the mission editor or ask the ground crew for some. next press Y or I, two green lights will light up above the yellow lights showing you which pair of weapons you have selected, also on the left most display under the yellow lights two letters will apear, showing you what type of weapon you have selected ("НР" = rockets, "ПС" = anti-tank missiles, "АБ" = bombs, "ПБ" = external fuel tanks)
  7. They look pretty good IMO. :)
  8. Very nice. - Lol at the beer tap :D
  9. I have noticed this too. It could have something to do with the pipper being forced to the center of the hud no matter how much you turn/bank. I get around it by switching to manual before I fire.
  10. teE5wqT2DNU "only" three projectors :P
  11. Found the same video on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:F-35_gun.ogg
  12. Then that might be your problem ;) The engine de-ice uses bleed air from the engine to prevent ice from building up, this takes a chunk off the engines performance though, same with the dust protector, so try avoiding using the de-ice and dust protector (which the cheat start turns on) when not needed. still a track would be appreciated, IIRC multiplayer tracks are saved in the temp folder inside your main DCS folder automatically.
  13. I think I found your problem :) You for some reason which I cant understand lowered the two yellow throttle levers down from auto to idle just before take off, this means that every time you start to hover the engines try to go down to idle, this means there isn't enough engine power to run the generators which in turn turns off a lot of your systems, this includes the doppler radar which is needed to auto hover. As you can see in this screenshot (from your track) the rotor RPM is lower than 80% (not good) the skhval is black and dead and theres a light on the overhead panel which says 'inverter on' (this means that the generators aren't supplying enough electrical power and that the chopper is running on the batteries alone) This is as I said before caused by the throttle being set to idle and not auto, heres a screenshot of the levers so you know what im talking about, you want these to be on the second to highest notch (press 'page up' twice when the engines are in idle)
  14. It should be Left alt + T to toggle the auto hover on and off, ofc you can change this in the settings if you want. It would easier to tell what you are doing wrong if you posted a track file, without one I can't more than guess, such as; have you made sure that the flight director is off?
  15. Here you go, I use coordinates from the ABRIS to enter a navtgt in the PVI. As you see in the track, you'll need to press enter first, then a zero, then the first line of coordinates then press enter again and then a zero and then the second line of coordinates and finish with enter. you enter coordinates the same way for way points, nav targets and even airfields. Enteringnavtgt.trk
  16. Thats odd, I can restart the engines and recreate the failure as many times as I want it seems. heres a track of me recreating it 3 times in a row: Xfeed-failure-x3.trk
  17. Feuerfalke, try this: 1. Create a mission where you start on the runway. 2. Shut off both fuel pumps. 3. wait 30 seconds and then open the X-feed valve. 4. the engines should shut off within 20 seconds. At least that works to replicate this for me.
  18. Or here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=620292&postcount=54 Same post, just less German... :)
  19. Yes, I know that the entire knob has a function for the rockets and the gunpods (which I discribed) what I meant is that the notches for the bombs and the dispensers have no function. Sssssh I know that, I just didn't want to make it more complex by starting to explain that something is featured in the simulator that isnt supposed to be there and then having to explain why it is there now and why its going to be removed in the patch. (hopefully) :smilewink:
  20. They serve no purpose. That knob tells the weapons computer what dumb weapon you are about to use and thus lets it know how and where it should calculate the predicted impact point. But the KA-50 modeled in DCS:BS doesn't calculate the predicted impact point for bombs and bomblet dispensers so those settings doesn't do anything. My guess is that somewhere there was plans for adding a pipper on the HUD for bombs and dispensers but they probably didn't get around to do it before they pulled the plug on the ka-50 production, thus leaving the knob with those options still there. I tested them a couple of months ago and found out that if you fire them at a 45 degree angle above the horizon that they'll go about 14 kilometers.
  21. Edit: Since its official theres no need for my speculations here anymore. Specs can be found HERE and finally some discounts: $5 off TrackIR 5 $20 off TrackIR 5 + Track clip pro (Normal TrackIR 5 + track clip pro discount is $15) Enjoy
  22. IIRC the M6 linebacker uses a laser range finder to track its target before it launches its stingers (which are IR guided) So flares would help if the LWR is triggered by a linebacker. Though you should always perform evasive maneuvers when under attack, tank, TOW or IR guided AA missile, the flares aren't foolproof.
  23. VBS2? :P
  24. Just hold down the trim button while you move the cyclic, the autopilot will be disengaged whilst you hold it down.
  25. You could buy it, download it, burn the installation files on a DVD and then give the DVD together with the serial code to him.
