I try to always have people compare their entertainment time compared to dollars spent. Even at $50 plus having to buy LOMAC again ($7 I think for DL from UBI) I get my moneys worth with the hours I spend in the sim. Just think, you and the significant other go to a movie.....POW $50 for 2 hours show. It takes hours upon hours to just learn how to fly and fight the HOG or the Eagle or the Flanker.

Kuky is right, unless you have strapped into one of these birds yourself, IRL, you can't compare. Both are modelled extrememly well with a lot to learn before you just go out and blow shit up. Very detailed and well worth your entertainment dollars.

Not sure if it is modelled in DCS but not a good ideer to pop Willie Peete next to your own troops. It will burn them to death. Willie Peete is meant to mark a target and also do a little damage to light vehicles and personnel.

I run DCS World, DCS A-10, DCS whatever flawlessly and fast in Win 7 64 bit. Wouldn't change to Win 8 for the world. To me there are too many mixed reviews from gamers on Win 8. Reminds me of Win ME and Win XP. Gimme XP anyday over ME which was a dud and uneeded.

It always helps to have a visual reference when attacking and re attacking a target. Coordinates are nice but to have that visual reference by Willie Peete or talk on to target is invaluable.

I have two wishes for DCS of immediate desire. US Carrier Ops (F18E) and a return of the Crimean Pennisula to use.

I would pay to get the Crimean Penninsula back. I loved it and it opened a wide array of mission and campaign possibilities. Some day, some day............

I never siad that Eddie. I said it was a call made when the seeker head of the missile went active on the target you had locked and fired upon. (Left out before) Usually at Beyond visual Range. What you are referring to in your 14 years of flying is MADDOG which is the firing of a BVR air to air missile without having a lock on a target.

I'll say it again just in case you missed it. This is my experience in the virtual world not NATO or Red China, or Venezaula real world.

That is funny cuz the hundreds of pilots, if not more, that I have flown with all used it the same way. We are talking virtual world here and not real world.

I have flown, must be, thousands of hours virtually in every platform from Falcon 4, Janes F-18, LOMAC, you name it from 1997 on and Pitbull has always meant that the seeker head went active on the target you fired upon, not that it reached it MPRF, so maybe in the real world it means that but in the virtual world, with my experience, it means the above.

To further, Active meaning the missile has been fired with a radar lock and the on board missile radar has actively taken over and has locked on to a target.

Just use the Auto Updater till it won't update anymore and then see if you are at 1.2.2.7250. If so then you are uptodate. If not then you need to DL 1.2.2 and then update it thru the auto Updater to 7250.

Beta Testers? Is this a known issue? If so will we see a solution soon? TIA.

It is all about your money Vs. your quality of play time. I get way more then my $50 worth of play time out of ED sims, thus I would pay more if they charged more. $50 is a spit in the bucket for the amount and quality of sim time you get.
