What is Jester going to automatically do for me???
jimiC replied to gmelinite's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Set your screen to mirror tid Look down behind the stick and check that the targets are being iffd and marked hostile /\ There should be 2 digits one each side . Left is Angels right is launch number If you see launch number they are good to go for a Phoenix launch . Go for a 30nm launch for good reliability There is a bvr menu option for jester . Stt enemy to the front or something and you can get him to lock just 1 tgt in stt that way Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk -
Tested with new update Confirmed fixer ground crew loadout will now work correctly Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Yes I do that. Still no change Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Super Grover i am referring to your above listed method via ground crew menu . not the editor . It does not change the loadout either Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Time to get the Combined Arms what DCS deserves?
jimiC replied to Fri13's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
Key to dcs is firstly the ai. More realistic and variable spotting and networked recon / awareness Improved pathing for reduced cpu load Once these things are sorted it then opens up the ability to use it fully. Then it's time to improve the ui. Increase functionality of orders systems. Have the ability to either direct control or conduct directive control and have partial ai implementation of orders and objectives Rts elements have usefulness in the ui they bring. You can have rts style gameplay without losing the simulation component that comes with c3. Logistics. Realistic ballistic simulation and realistic ai tactical decision making logics Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk -
Looking for some feedback on this one Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Ale39 menu options do not appear to work To replicate simply start a mission and attempt to adjust ale39 loadout through the grnd crew menu There is not aural or visual cue that anything happens Then check the knee board Confirm that the bins have not changed from the initial setup Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Sounds like this might need to be moved to bug report then Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

thanks for the response, however how can the rio adjust the programmer if the kneeboard does not update to the newly selected countermeasures bins? You say the kneeboard shows the 'current' loadout, but it clearly says its the initial load out on that page and it doesnt change at all. the ale 39 menu has the number of chaff/flare in the selection options but doesnt give any hints to which bins they will be assigned If i spawn instant action cold start and the first/only thing i do is change my ale39 loadout, my kneeboard does not change.

Cheers but that video doesnt address the question of changing cms through the menu ie not the mission editor The knee board doesnt update and only shows initial loadout etc Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

So I'm struggling to make sense if this area If I understand correctly we see cms by the ground crew menu for ale39 The knee board "should " show which bins contain what (flare or chaff) Currently my experience is I select a loadout. First problem is theres no indication the ground crew has copied it Secondly when I check the knee board the cms listed have not changed from the initial loadout Anyone have insights into this process ? Is there a method for returning to rio radar control after a knife fight ? I couldn't find a related button or a jester command to go back into tws auto for instance Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

I'm guessing but I think it's there to quickly disengage roll and pitch SAS if you enter bfm rapidly Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Don't believe so . Push it fwd and feel for the drop If you go mil or near to it , it turns off again Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

One minor issue for me so far is the jester wheel comes up central to the 12 oclock position but the leader line used to select is anchored based on your head perspective at the time u selected jester So unless you look 12oc first you end up pulling some funny head manouevres to make the leader line point the right way Anyone else? The size of the helmet impacts how far away your head is from the headrest Your scalp isn't resting on the headrest the helmet is. Probably 2 inches ? Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

While I like content creators getting access early to cover the module can we make sure the info is accurate Unless I'm misunderstanding the description of using the aim54 magz is suggesting the missile will go active 2nm after launch It won't do this unless you voluntarily drop lock in the f14? It should be going active at about 10nm from target. 2nm parameter is more like a minimum range if launching close in you need a couple of miles for it to go active Confirm deny ? I don't like using up space on the hotas A basic logitech trackball velcrod' to the side of the hotas works for me All the mouse clicky goodness without the used up hotas real estate Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Interesting In that case it potentially could have quite markedly different system requirements It's own exe Smaller maps Reduced fidelity All of that will contribute to a leaner lighter client probably Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

I actually started building a pit after I got vr because I decided it was the better Avenue rather than using controllers or hands (until the tech gets up to speed). The pit is 1:1 scale as are the panels So once you have your view centered at the right height and seat positon their natural location is intuitive to reach for I've added more since this photo slowly but surely Kb mounted at HUD height so I can use it still without being over the top of the functional ufc and mfds This is all mounted on a platform with 2 dof motion simulation being exported from dcs via lua Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
