  1. I did read the first post, well kind of skimmed through it, but wasn't really sure what the issue was so just glossed over it.
  2. What did you explain to him? Is it purely calibrating the AB detent and keeping SimApp Pro running? I assume SimApp Pro sends an event via the lua script since the Orion2 has no physical OFF button for the throttle. I hate having to run extra apps just for things like this. EDIT: I figured it out. Had to calibrate the throttle just with IDLE/MIL/AB. Only then did the IDLE position reflect the proper in game position
  3. I did the same thing. Bought it at $10 when it released. I figured it was better than paying $80 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I believe they are different modules Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. it seems odd that some aircraft have the options to create kneeboard bookmarks and some do not, like the A-10C II. The F-16 has it, the F-18 has it...etc. You;d think this would just be a general setting and non specific to the airframe but I guess it all comes down to how it's implemented.
  6. Funny fact: Am I the only one who starts all missions from cold start? I scoff at hot starts unless I’m trying to quickly practice something. Other than that it’s cold starts and alls the comms calls... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Isn’t there already an export that you can select to do that? 2MFDs+screen I think its called. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Is it possible to setup Viacom Pro so that the PTT mimics the radios PTT mapping in game, based on what aircraft you have loaded?
  9. My Kneeboardbuilder app crashes when trying to apply a profile. It had been working up until a few days ago when I tried to create a new profile and apply it. The error in the second section says something about can't find a directory. I checked my preferences and the saved games and DCS directory are set correctly. Not sure what changed to cause this. The event viewer shows
  10. OK disregard my plea for help. Whatever I did resolved the issue. I can now get the Options menu to come up when saying 'options'. So now I'm off the learn how to use this thing I've gone through the 2-min fix. Actually I've completely remove Vaicom from VA and re-installed. still the same issue. I'm a paid customer like from 2 years ago, my license is valid. I have posted all images of configs I could think of. Can you please take a look at what I have https://imgur.com/a/jL9a4gq One question is I noticed after removing and re-installing Vaicom that the Editor has more words in it than before. Is it a requirement to go through each word in the database or do I only need to do that if I want alias words?
  11. So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've RTFM but still cannot get DCS to respond to VAICOM PRO even with a simple 'Options' Voice Command. I've manually checked all the lua files are in the proper places, repaired DCS...not sure what else to check. I have VoiceAttack 1.8.3 installed. Would that make a difference? Help me Hollywood, you're my only hope!
  12. I see in VA window it is recognizing words...like Options, Kubuleti, etc.... Still I get no response from DCS. I also hear the MIC clicks but no Feedback beeps....
  13. Haven't used VAICOM PRO for a few years...looking to get back into DCS. Installed the latest plugin and ran through the configtool but i can't get DCS to respond to the commands. Even tried the 'OPTIONS' command to see if the menu would come up but I get nothin' CLEARED HOTAS MIC mappings in DCS as that's how I use VA / VAICOM PRO. How do I troubleshooting this issue?
  14. Nice work! I especially like the bigger CDU as I too have horrible eye sight and need things bigger these days. So I can assume the Loz A-10c profile I just download isn't going to be too useful any longer. So I will wait until yours is complete. Thanks for all the hard work you do.
  15. Happy flying !!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. In order to use HTC Vive you do need Steam and SteamVR but you don’t need Steam DCS version. You can run DCS standalone with SteamVR without issue. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. I can confirm that HTC Vive controllers work in DCS VR, but they are not easy to use. You have two options...either use the laser pointer style where you have to squeeze the side buttons then pull the trigger for the later pointer to operate. While using the laser pointer method a green laser is I think left click and for a right click you have to first turn the controller upside down “palm facing upwards” and do the same button combo and a blue laser should be shown. The second method is by using the virtual hands and fingers to push buttons and flip switches but it is not exact and is more likely to cause issues while flying. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. While I like to use the VR controllers over the mouse, I find some things I can’t get to work. For example When in the Hornet and having to perform the Bit test. That requires both hands to perform it. Left hand pointing at the switch on the right hand side that you have to hold up and my right hand pointing at the FCS switch on the right DDI. The problem is if I have the point holding the switch on the right I can’t use the pointer or the finger to push the FCS switch in the right DDI....anyone have a solution other than take off the HMD to hit the Y button on the keyboard? 19. Yeah I think that is the million dollar question every one is looking for. 45fps in VR is actually 90fps because of the rendering of two different views one for the left eye and one for the right, but still I get the point. Doesn’t seem like the hardware is Maxed out or struggling to keep up. I think it might be more of a bottle neck because of the lack of optimization DCS has in 2.5 for VR. Just my 2 cents Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Just google A-10c lightening pod training. There are many YouTube videos out there that you can watch and try to pick up some pointers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. What a fantastic interview. I could have listened to Mr.Brown all night. its amazing to listen to pioneers like him. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Wow I’ve had the A-10 for a year or two and just did this font size adjustment. Make it so much easier to read lettering on left and right panels. This is a great mod that any VR’er should do immediately. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah I found that you can push buttons with the virtual hands / fingers...but....its very frustrating as if your trying to enter numbers they typically get pushed multiple times.... I find the laser pointer method a bit easier. Also you can use the laser pointer of the virtual hands to select your F keys in the comms menu...now that was a nice find as managing comms in VR for me was a no-go Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
