  1. I have the Pimax Crystal. I just upgraded to the AMD 9950X3d on an MSI X870E Carbon Motherboard and a AMD 9800X3d on an Asrock X870E Taichi motherboard. I Can't get the headset to connect on either system. I have the lastest PIMAX software installed and the latest headset firmware. I bought and built these systems to keep up with the Pimax Super I have on order. I have done a fresh, clean install on both systems, trying both windows 10 and 11 with the latest updates and chipset drivers. But the headset won't start on my AMD systems. It does however start right up on my Intel 10900k System. Is this a cable issue similar to what the G2 had with AMD? I contacted AMD and they said PIMAX is just not keeping up with new hardware. I tried changing the USB power settings in windows. I made sure the USB settings in the BIOS are always powered. I changed PCIe settings from GEN 4 to GEN 3 but no luck.
  2. What were they thinking?! "Uhhh, Hey guys lets Eff up the forum format; whataya say?" I think that's how it must have gone. No one can screw things up this bad accidentally.
  3. We don't wanna see your receipt, we wanna see Zotac RTX 3090 DCS performance videos.
  4. Well, you know If you have a 3090, it's a DCS mandatory requirement to post a youtube video sitting on the super carrier with FPSVR. Looking around in at out of the cockpit, followed by some flight time. And MUST be within 48 hour of installation. You know that right? (Within 72 hours for the 3080).
  5. Typically speed trumps timings. However, you will get diminished returns as you increase speed and therefore will want to tighten up your timings at some point. I was previously running Gskill 4600mhz 16GB (2x8gb). I decided to increase my memory to 32gb, but at the time, the fastest ram I could find was Gskill 4000mhz (2X16gb). MY motherboard is a EVGA Z390 Dark it only has two dimm slots, and was specifically built that way for overclocking. I ran benchmarks to see if I would get better performance in DCS VR with the increase in ram 16gb vs 32gb. Sadly, I did not get any performance increase or decrease in DCS VR in any configuration I tested. The 16gb at 4600mhz with the same timings as the 4000mhz 32gb, no change. Reducing the 4600mhz 16gb down to 4000mhz vs 32gb same timings, no change. Even though my system was using almost all 16gb of ram with the 16gb set and up to 25gb with the 32gb set, in DCS VR, there was zero performance change from one configuration to the next. I gave my 4600mhz ram to my Son to add to his system, which put him from 16gb to 32gb (4x8gb) on a Z170 with 7700k and a watercooled 2080ti. He saw no performance change in DCS VR.
  6. Star Wars Squadron game play is fun, but I'm NOT at all impressed with the graphics. In some areas it looks cartoonish like borderlands. Elite Dangerous is a much older game with far superior graphics, especially in VR.
  7. "...You'll see the whole bandwidth there, from 0% to whatever. In DCS and VR you can really push the limits with it." Huh? Can you specify? What does any of that mean?
  8. Do you have any pics or video of that 41%? I haven't seen any benchmarks coming anywhere near 41%.
  9. DCS On A RTX 3090! VoodooDE VR - english version Time stamps for DCS are 3:05 with a recap at 10:58 Make sure you subscribe to this guys channel for his hard work.

  11. I'm running a 9900k on a EVGA Z390 Dark, overclocked on all cores to 5.1Ghz. Paired with watercooled, overclocked and power modded 2080 TIs. My Son has the same GPU paired with a 7700k stock clocks on a Z170. We get the exact same frame rate in DCS VR sitting on the deck of the super carrier.
  12. For me, DCS is barely VR playable. Reducing the resolution or even reducing graphic setting in VR on my 2080 TI does very little. This game is just not optimized to use the horsepower of today's hardware. Two years ago, I upgraded from a watercooled Pascal Titan Xp and now I have a Bios modded and Power Modded watercooled MSI Sea Hawk Ek X running at over 2100mhz with a with a +700 Vram offset; Stable. The CPU is a 9900K @ 5ghz on all cores. My Son has the same GPU on a stock 7700k and we get the same exact frame rate regardless of the resolution. DCS NEEDS Massive optimization in it's basic code, Vulcan is sorely needed.
  13. Good Luck, I recently purchased 2 Saitek products, two X52 HOTAS one of which quit working, so I ordered a one X56 HOTAS while waiting for RMA on my X52. Logitech's support for Saitek is via e-mail only. It takes two to three days to get a response back from Saitek. It’s been 14 days now since I started my RMA on my X52 and I still don’t have an RMA. And don’t bother telling them your troubleshooting process, they will respond in two days telling you to go thru all the steps you already did, and then wait another two days to escalate to the next level; then another two days and another and so on. Update: Saitek said X52s are out of stock and they offered me an X56 in lieu of.
