  1. Amazon have to buy from Take2
  2. GoGamer have a new shipment of the manual being sent to them.
  3. Unfortunately, that is what it is like in real life. You have to positively ID a target with a mark 1 eyeball to avoid blue-on-blue incidents. IFF is being introduced for ground vehicles, but it is in early stages of development/deployment. See http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/bcis.htm Problem is, can you be sure all own forces in the area are equipped with IFF (BCIS).
  4. As a matter of interest, what did you pay?
  5. I can assure you that we are putting pressure on Take2 to improve distribution in Canada. Unfortunately they can not force retailers to take the title! A tactic to use that would help us is to ask the manager of your local store to take the product, and keep pestering him/her. This tactic was used in the UK for the GAME chain of stores. GAME initially only took BS in 10% of stores, and after a month is now in 90%.

  7. The correct RRP is Euro 39.99 in Ireland!
  8. How many trees are in "Rise of Flight?
  9. Hi send me a pm
  10. Now available here http://games.mindscape.com.au/Products/ProductList.aspx?cid=187&mid=472
  11. The printed manual is now in all the distribution centres, USA, Europe, and Australlia. However, whereas in Europe manuals can be distributed to Amazon etc within a week, the US distribution to retail channels are much longer, and would appear to be about 4 weeks.
  12. sales@fighter-collection.com
  13. Here is an update. The manual is in the USA at the Take2 Warehouse. Amazon has been contacted and we hope it to be listed within the week as being available for ordering. Shipping from TFC in the UK is now in boxes and not jiffy bags.
  14. Good catch - I must look at TV schedules more often!
  15. Check mission editor briefing - Weather. No pilot would fly without checking the briefing, waypoints, terrain he will be flying over, significant items he/she will see, hills, rivers, towns/villages etc.
  16. Ross Kemp does it again for UK viewers on Sky 1 on now. Hunting pirates in Gulf of Aden. Excellent shots of helo Ops from a warship. Will probably be repeated. Good scenario for mission builders - time for searching and getting to the tanker is of the essence before the pirates board. Then ROE says you have to leave them alone!
  17. Thank you - distribution in Germany and France seems to be excellent. The problem appears to be the GAME retail stores in the UK.
  18. If anyone in the UK visits a GAME store this week, do let me know if they are stocking Black Shark. Their management claim that it is in all GAME stores, but I have my doubts after doing my own store checks in North London
  19. One way is to capture the section you want with Fraps, then make a .wmv file.
  20. You should get it on Wenesday/Thursday.
  21. As I am sure many of you are aware, in Operation Mogadishu, the first Blackhawk was shot down by an RPG which hit the tail rotor. It was moving slowly, and it was a lucky hit.
  22. I agree. RPGs will shoot you if you are hovering close to them. If you flyby they do not bother to shoot. I think this is realistic. With an RPG I would not even try to hit a moving helicopter. The chance of success would be extremely low, and the chance of retaliation very high if my launch was spotted!
  23. There are 1000 copies sitting in the Take2 warehouse in the USA. Amazon should accept soon.
  24. Very, very interesting - a 55 minute combat in Basra between a T55 and a Lynx. based on the book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Weapons-Free-Story-Royal-Pilot/dp/094755467X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1243973056&sr=1-1 Discusses tactics - Hampster/Rat etc. Also shows helo acting as an AFAC for A-10. Shows, as has been said before, a helo pilot has to think like a sniper.
  25. Helicopter warfare tonight at 20.00hrs - helo v tank.
