Just great. Hollywood has ruined Star Wars, Star Trek, and are now about to ruin Top Gun.
-
The prices are about right(for a finished module, not for EA though). But if they go any higher i am going to put on my surprised Benny Hill look. You can always wait for sales.
-
Agreed. Deka seams susceptible to air quackers suggestions.
-
Sure. But importance of good sound design cannot be overstated. It can make average module good.Imagine what it could do to MIG 21. I do not know whether you agree or not,but current sounds are just awful. At least they could use MIG 23 externals as a placeholder. Short of dreadful engine sounds, this is an excellent module. Such a shame.
-
You don't date much do ya?:megalol: If at first you don't succeed, try again. That is how you get things done. The simple fact is sound needs to be fixed. MIG 21 sounds nothing like the real thing, inside and outside the cockpit.
-
Yes,indeed. In the last update they have mentioned(IIRC),that flight model is about 80% complete.:)
-
MIG 23 should be next. They have said so themselves(IIRC). But as we know, here,in DCS,everything is subject to change. Everything comes down to military intelligence, and quality of the pilots and tactics. Take away AWACS and satellites from the picture, and F-15/16/18 would not have such an easy job. Yes,MIG 15/19 and F-86 are hopelessly outclassed, but then again no one flies those birds anymore(maybe North Korea). Planes and missiles that you don't see,are the ones that get you. I am talking in general;I do know what you are trying to point out: Couldn't agree more:thumbup:
-
Ah,i see.You guys have no idea how subscription model works. For title like DCS subscriptions,in my view would kill it(https://metro.co.uk/2019/08/03/subscriptions-are-going-to-ruin-video-games-readers-feature-10509777/). What is next;micro transactions?!!

You are a funny guy.
-
Clouds are a part of the core game, are they not? Do not understand original post.
-
Thank you for the information.
-
You have heard wrong. Nav lights are $3.99;slammer is $5.99:smilewink: ED is working on a clouds for some time. Cant wait to see the final result, whenever that may be.
-
How long does the QA lasts? I know it is depended on how module is,lets say, sophisticated, but it has been around a month now since they have send it. Is it ok for me to assume that no news is good news?
-
So,i would have to pay subscription in order to play modules that i already payed for in full.Lol..no.

Precision-Guided Munitions - GBU-38 won’t drop
Void78 replied to Highwayman-Ed's topic in Mission and Campaigns
I agree. I was under the impression that OPs issue has been resolved. -
I agree 100%,but this is our little fantasy corner.:drunk: I am afraid that you are right. Although they can work on the core game while 3rd parties bring in the dough. I guess they know best(fingers crossed). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- (anyone knows what weapon is used on the video at 0:59 mark?)

Is that known,or are you wishing it in to reality? I thought that they are working on A6.I like Tornado IDS a whole lot more. I have voted for Mil 24 and F 4E(op said i could cast two votes):P If i had full control of what ED will work on,it would be MIG 25 and Su 17,but luckily for some of you i don't.

Precision-Guided Munitions - GBU-38 won’t drop
Void78 replied to Highwayman-Ed's topic in Mission and Campaigns
Yes you are correct. You too are also correct. Targets are stationary,in my practice mission. In a last few years never had any problems(same mission),and now there is slight offset. That is ALL!!! I know very well differences between AREA,POINT,and INR modes.Somehow you think that you know better. That is your point of view.Mine differs. It has everything to to with GBU-38. This is a second time that i had to quote my self. That was the crux of my post, and somehow you have took it upon your self to educate me on how TGP works, assuming my ignorance and not bothering to read the post carefully and figure out what the post is really about. You have read it the way you wanted to read it,and not the way it is written.Talk about conformation bias. You are not alone here, but other members were polite and respectful, and neither of them had the gall to suggest to me what i should,or shouldn't do. You are not a moderator. It was first and foremost meant to be read by the people who gave us this module. There is really an easy way to prove me wrong.Drop JDAM,and look at the bottom right corner of the TGP. In green symbology R TTI For example,on the left side of the HUD you will have, lets say 15(15 seconds TTI), and on the bottom right of the TGP you will have R000:15. As far as i am aware it is not mentioned in the manual, but there is an image of what i am talking about on page 553. -
Precision-Guided Munitions - GBU-38 won’t drop
Void78 replied to Highwayman-Ed's topic in Mission and Campaigns
I am talking about in game behavior, and not strict realism. In layman's terms,AREA tracks the point on the ground, and Point tracks object itself. When you aim very close to the object that you wish to target,Point track jumps on it and locks it by itself(game behavior). Like I have said I have had no issues with markpoints before certain update. What is so hard to understand? I can not control how others will interpret my post, and with what will they take issue. My first post on this thread was aimed at addressing GBU problems, and nothing else,so it wasn't totally off topic. On the other hand you are,and now,so am I.Or should I have not replied to you?It is common decency after all(off topic or not). I have no problem if my posts are deleted(if you still believe i am totally off topic),and I have no intention to clog the threads with new topics. -
Precision-Guided Munitions - GBU-38 won’t drop
Void78 replied to Highwayman-Ed's topic in Mission and Campaigns
I know what you mean. That is why i have mentioned Point track. It shouldn't be an issue with the Point track(with Area-definitely would be),and as i have mentioned,it wasn't. It is my routine practice mission(muscle memory practice) and I have never had any issues with it;until that update. TTI is on the bottom right corner of the TGP display after release.I seldomly attack single target in one pass with JADAMs,and i do remember it distinctly. -
Precision-Guided Munitions - GBU-38 won’t drop
Void78 replied to Highwayman-Ed's topic in Mission and Campaigns
There may be an issue with TGP. I have one training mission where i practice releasing 4 mavericks in a single pass(on 4 different targets-tanks) and two GBU-38 on two bunkers,in a second pass using markpoints. I mark the targets(bunkers and tanks) some 10 miles(approximation)away using Point track in a first pass, attack the tanks, and than,in a second pass i attack the bunkers.Never had any issues. After some update(cant remember which;2 month ago or so),i have noticed that maverick is not aligned perfectly with the targets that i have marked, but it does menage to lock it(when targeting tanks). GBU-38 misses bunkers by about 10-20 meters. Only way to hit the bunkers is to fly directly over them and than mark them. Also, when both GBU-38 are in the air,on TGP i used to have TTI(time to impact) on the first bomb, and after scoring a hit,TTI for the second bomb was shown. After said update there was no second TTI on the TGP(IIRC). I am mentioning this because i am aware that there are some issues with using GBU-38 in A-10C as of late. Maybe there is an issue with TGP/GBU-38 interaction. -
Oh yeah...definitely. https://theaviationgeekclub.com/iraqi-mig-25-foxbat-pilot-explains-how-he-was-able-to-shoot-down-lt-cdr-speichers-f-a-18-hornet-the-first-night-of-operation-desert-storm/ Why would someone not want such an iconic bird is something that i will never get. Not to go of topic; does anyone have any idea when we can expect some concrete news about MIG 23s development?
