  1. It's a shame they dropped that feature as it sounds really useful.
  2. I'm getting the same issue. Using the training mission for HARM TOO Checked and tried different keybinds. HARM page selected as SOI. Can change targets normally. Cannot hand-off target to HARM. SP mode works fine. Edit:- Did some more testing. It works fine if starting cold. Appears to be an issue if starting hot or in the air.
  3. Turn off forcefeedback. The "feature" is dead and it messes with the controls.
  4. It certainly looked like it was "hanging from the rotor" which at least looks about right. Other notable points were: Rain drops on the glass. The rocket pods had some interesting configurations. One had what appears to be an over/under load with extended tubes in the middle three tubes. The other pod had some very long rockets which looked rather like APKWS. This is speculative and of course all this is subject to change, and they were not able to discuss this during the stream due to NDA. The M4's will not be operable. Smoke grenades are. Doors will not be a feature. To paraphrase the streamer "The doors appear on the helicopter when delivered to the unit, then they're thrown in a room somewhere and never used again" Sounded like several Hellfire variants are modelled. Still no plans for multicrew but are watching what ED's doing with the UH-1H. Other caveats were that the rotors are not finished yet (which is why they look a bit weird) and there isn't any FADEC implmented yet. Bear this in mind when commenting on any videos. Also this will not be released this year, there will be no EA and it should be more or less complete at release.
  5. There are a lot of places who already do A-10 panels like Lynx.dk. If you're only interested in a laser cutter for panels. Shop around, see if the cost of ready made panels is significantly different from the cost of parts and resale of the laser cutter.
  6. Your rudder problem might be you fighting the autopilot. With the Heading channel active it will attempt to keep your nose on whatever you had it trimmed to last. If you're in a hover and actively sweeping across the battlefield for targets you can use the Auto-Turn button which trys to put your Shkval target on your nose. Or you can turn off the Heading channel off altogether. The KA-50's autopilot system takes a lot of getting used to and it can feel like you're constantly having to fight it.
  7. Judging by what you can see translated from google translate and guestimating from the images in that thread; It looks like the main unit has a throttle and the two side levers are an addon item. I'm about to ask on the forums myself. On another note I've built a center console and I hope that the attachment point can be swapped to the other side. I really don't want to add it to my chair or make a frame to add it to my console. I'm already squirreling away cash in anticipation of it's release.
  8. If you're making edits to the campaign so that you can host it to play with your friends then you've circumvented the DRM and have broken the terms of your licensing agreement. You've also robbed very small (often a single person) of potential revenue.
  9. Does anybody have recommendations for more Helo friendly servers? The ones I've played on are fine for cargo related missions but attack helo's really suffer around fixed wings. Either the fixed wings are robbing us of targets or they're using us for target practice.
  10. I was testing a mission out this evening and noticed that UTM coords in PP mode are just two digits for North and East on the Persian Gulf map. BUT mode UTM coords seemed fine. Is it actually a bug or does the NADIR system not support UTM in PP mode? For reference: L model gazelle Hot start from ground.
  11. I'd love to see the radio's fleshed out a bit. Including radio selection as I use SRS a lot.
  12. As others have said. Break it up into managable pieces. For me I'll usually step through the following process. Mostly by going through a combination of the in game tutorials, youtube, Chucks guides. Well before I hit the manual for fine tuning. Additionally in regards to Chucks guides, they are brilliant for jumping straight in and as a reference later on. ED and the third party developers should be paying him so they can ship his guides with their modules. On first session I'll usually hit up: 1. Initial controls setup (I usually try and get a 1:1 match with the real aircrafts HOTAS setup) Figure out quirks for basic universal features such as flaps, taxiing and airbreaks. 2. Aircraft startup procedures - I usually make a habit of trying to do cold and dark starts as much as possible. 3. Radios 4. Navigation Equipment inc. Autopilot 5. Testing skills learned by throwing a mission together to test startups, navigation, comms, refueling, takeoffs and landings. The above tend to be universal, it's just learning where the knobs and switches are placed and any idiosyncracies. Get some of these out of the way before moving onto the more fun stuff. 6. More critical misc systems such as Countermeasures and Radar 7. By this point I'll start iterating through weapons systems. I'll try one type of system with one type of delivery method at a time, usually the ones most relevent to my interests first. Get the basics out the way. 8. Once I'm comfortable with general use I'll start probing into more advanced systems such as the additional MFD content, advanced weapon delivery, waypoint management etc... But... that's the method that works for me. If you want to get started slinging weapons at targets you can skip a few of the above. Step 1. is always critical but you can always find a quick youtube video for getting your nose pointed in the right direction and how to get stuff off the rails. Break it down, figure out what's relevent to you. You want to do online? Spend a little time on your radios for SRS. SRS Should also be shipped with DCS as a default.
  13. Nope, it's definately not AWLS landing system (although I'd love that info). Thanks for the link to Chucks guide though. I've actually read it but it's a little out of date, although it's more than functional. I was specifically looking for information on Mark Points and TACAN Library. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3974799&postcount=18 However I spent the night tinkering with the EHSD pages and I've found what I suspect are Mark Points and I've definately found the new TACAN presets. I'll see about putting some sort of guide once I've got it fully figured out. Still trying to figure out the U/VHF panel functionality on the right hand console though, which I originally thought was the ACNIP.
  14. I've got a few questions about the EHSD on the MFD and the ACNIP on the right hand console. I'm having some difficulty finding relevent results in my searches. 1. In the latest updates it mentions Steerpoints, Markpoints and Target Points. What are markpoints, and more importantly how do I add/edit them? Are they the OSB selectable item on the bottom line of the MFD (mk0-mk9). Are they just Steerpoints/Waypoints with no additional properties? 2. Anybody found how to load and use the TACAN presets that we're recently added. 3. Does anyone know of any documentation or videos on using the ACNIP? Ta muchly :pilotfly:
