Hi guys I take off, go to waypoint 3 and engage the ground targets. My wingman refuse to engage ground, just turn around and seems to head for base. Radio frequencies often switch back to 300 by themselves. I get a 'mission failed' because it says I shot at the F5's but i did not. Thanks :)

I agree. Singleplayer content is coming way too slowly. We have all these wonderful modules and not enough to do with them. All dressed up, but no party :)

Hi guys I just checked Silver Dragons update list and the weather update is listed as 2019. Do we have any news on this? I've wished for better cloud scapes for more years than I can remember.

I get this too sometimes. Can't figure out what causes it, fyi.

Good mission - short ingress - and the written instructions work well.

NTTR, AGM 65E mission - JTAC is killed by targets
Count Sessine replied to nickos86's topic in Missions and Campaigns
Indeed. A sad ending :) -
Agree :)

Ok I unplugged my Samsung WMD and went back to the HTC Viveand I can report that the problem seems to be isolated to the Samsung WMD as I'm not seeing any drops on the Vive. I guess I'll have to live with the reduced resolution of the Vive until its fixed :)

I'm still seeing this problem. Very long (10+ seconds) drops to the loading screen when stuff starts happening in a mission: planes fire missiles, planes explode, damaged units... My FPS are good: between 45-90 at all times. It is extra annoying that it seems to have started with the introduction of the memory manager-thing. The first 1-2 years of my DCS VR life everything just worked flawlessly :) I've tried removing clouds from missions but it does not make any difference.

It is exclusively reported from the M2000 as it is the only plane I fly these days. But it happens on all maps. I noticed the drops kick in when planes (both my own and others) are destroyed, bombs fall, missiles are fired and curiously also when I turn on the radar at the start-up on the ground.

I'm on a Samsung Odyssey HMD :) I see the loading screen - sometmes for quite a long time. It not only breaks immersion but also make air to air combat in particular impossible.
-
When you turn on the afterburner in the M2000 it shows as a yellow'ish spot between the pilots legs.

I'm getting massive framedrops fx when planes explode or a damaged the first time. If you play the same mission 4-5 times it gets gradually better. Hardly a solution.

" It's one of the reasons I wish the new memory manager could be turned off for high-end systems: it introduced nothing but problems and didn't fix anything (on my system at least, I suspect only people with low-end systems will notice a performance difference). " This !

I just flew the same mission on my monitor, without VR, and I got a 100+ FPS at all times and no stutter or drops whatsoever. I really hope this is a fixeable problem because it totally ruins the VR experience.

Hi all I'm playing the M2000 Red Flag mission on a Samsung VR headset and fx in mission 5 when the two fighter groups merge I get so many drops to loading screen that the whole thing becomes totally unplayable. My fps is around 90 so it must be a memory handling issue. It seems it happens whenever the sim has load damage models or new airplanes. Very annoying as this is a new problem that seemed to appear with the new memory manager.

Hi Baltic I just feel like reaching out to tell you how wonderful your work on this campaign is. I'm only into mission 4, but it is really amazing. I saw elsewhere that producing the voiceovers is a bigger and bigger task in this kind of campaign - my feedback is that you could easily reduce voiceovers by 50% and still retain the ambience. Sometimes 'perfect' is 'good enough's' worst enemy as the saying goes. We are, after all, playing a flightsim, not watching a movie :) best regards from Denmark

I had to turn off all shadows to get a smooth 45fps VR experience. I'm still getting a lot of memory problems: when it loads new models=long drop outs and some weird texture problems, blue areas with no landscape on them around the aircraft - those eventually re-load correctly, but its annoying. I think it is the new memory manager they created that is causing the problems.

Hi guys After one of the recent updates I'm getting lots of drop-out sessions where the game stops to load or whatever it is doing. It makes dogfights almost unplayable. I'm on a Samsung Odyssey WMD - but not sure thats the problem. Never had this before. Sure, I have suffered from bad framerates but never drops like this. I have tried to apply the fix that someone mentioned in the big WMD discussion pinned on top of this forum but it did not help. If anyone have a tip to alleviate it, please share :)

Sorry, I meant seated of course :)
-
I had that too sometimes (I also suspected bad lighting), but solved it by re-running the 'seated' setup each time you start a VR session. It's very simple. Just point the headset at the screen and press a button. The headset likes that very much :)

Great news - really forward to it :)

In-game pixel density slider not working anymore
Count Sessine replied to Count Sessine's topic in Virtual Reality
I'm on 1.5 here with the Harrier. The in-game slider does nothing. The external Steam VR slider lowers frames per second noticeably so something is definitely happening. As for quality you may have a point. Even with the external slider maxed out I don't see a clear improvement although it can be difficult to gauge inside the headset. -
Hi all I just tested the PD settings in the Harrier and can report that the ingame PD does not seem to have an effect. Only the Steam VR supersampling setting does anything now. I'm on a Vive.
