  1. Hi guys, Just a quick question re the repair function. Basically do i need to do one? I'm running the beta and have done for months but never ran a repair.
  2. Hi guys. Is anyone still suffering from performance issues with the AGM? I’ve noticed my frames dropped from locked at 60 to 55 at certain points. Fine without the AGM loaded.
  3. Spot on, thanks for the tip. Would never had thought about turning off the Aura Lighting!
  4. Disable SMT is ghosted out on mine? Odd...
  5. I've turned HT off in the BIOS but I can't see any noticeable difference. CPU is still quite low although I did see it go up to 25%. Seems to be back glass smooth locked at 60 FPS now and that's with settings quite high and SSAA at 2x and MSAA at 2x also. If I turn MSAA up to 4x then over heavily tree'd areas etc my frames drop to low 50's. Shame, but it still looks good as it is....
  6. Ok great, thanks. I’ll give it a go with HT off and see what happens.
  7. Ok thanks...any ideas how to fix that if it is saturating 1 core?
  8. Yep, done that and I think it’s made a difference. Turned it off in Task Manager but my case lights are still on, just not changing colour. I’m assuming that’s right?
  9. Ah sorry, I just used Windows Task Manager. I'll try the loaded up mission like you suggested. Still getting a few micro stutters after the latest update. Before that, glass smooth locked at 60 FPS.
  10. Is this correct..?? My CPU is running at 13%, GPU 75%, RAM 50% and Windows Lighting (Aura) at 2.5%? CPU seems low and that's the free flight in the Hornet...
  11. Exactly the same with me mate, I’ve never done it. Mainly because for the last few weeks it’s been running absolutely perfectly. Anyway, it seems to have stopped the stutters and it appears to be running how it was. Frames locked at 60 and TrackIR is smooth again. I’ll keep my eye on it though!
  12. Have you tried lalt/enter?
  13. I think it has fixed it actually...Although before I did the alt/enter I rolled back the Nvidia driver to 416.34, the previous one. I'll install the latest again and see what happens. Bit embarrassing if it was the alt/enter that was needed! oops...:(
  14. Hi guys... Is anyone experiencing significant drops in performance since the latest update? I certainly am. I've had DCS running butter smooth and locked at 60 FPS to make TrackIR smooth but now after the latest update I'm getting stutters. I've noticed that the FPS is dropping down to 58 sometimes too which it never did before. Getting annoyed with this now....
  15. How are you locking the frames at 60 but keeping it at 144hz mate? Thanks....
  16. So I’ve now locked my frames to 60 in Inspector and set my 144hz monitor to 60hz and turned V Sync off and it’s butter smooth......my question is, do I need a G Sync monitor to run higher hz but still run at 60fps? I can run higher FPS but then I seem to get micro stutters and of course Track IR doesn’t run smooth at anything above 60 fps. What a nightmare!
  17. I haven't actually tried it yet although I was reading a bit about this the other night. I'll have a look into it and report back to you...cheers for the tip...
  18. Yeah done that mate, although it seems to default to it now whereas it never did on my old PC....odd.
  19. Hi guys, I thought I'd start a new thread for this so more people will see it. I'll share with you my findings...……… After hours and hours of frustration I believe I may have found a solution to the stutters. Well it certainly has worked, 100% for me.... I have a brand new PC, I7 8700k clocked @ 4.7ghz. A Strix overclocked GTX 1080TI, 16GB of RAM @ 3600mhz and 2x Hyper X Savage SSD's. One with Windows on and one with DCS on. There is nothing else on my PC apart from a few of the Wifes photos. I run a 24 inch monitor, an Acer XB240H. Quite old now in terms of what's out but still a very good gaming monitor. Connected by Display Port. I run most settings in DCS on full, including SSAA and MSAA. Trees at 100% but shadows off for the time being. Also, the F/A-18C. The only thing I've changed in Inspector is 'Prefer Maximum Performance'. Nothing else. I've just been experimenting with the refresh rates as I've always ran it at 144hz and whilst it was smooth with good FPS I had micro stutters. I changed it to 60hz and it was perfect apart from when I flew over a heavily tree'd area the frames dropped from 60 to 30 and stuttered. I changed it to 100hz and boom, sweet spot! It locks the frames in the game to 50fps over built up/tree'd areas and then snaps to 100fps in less dense areas. BUT.....there is absolutely NO micro stutters whatsoever and it is 100% glass smooth. Whether this will work for others is anyones guess but it has certainly just worked for me. I'm OCD when it comes to things like this which is why I binned P3D but I'm more than happy with the performance of DCS now. Hope this helps..... Jonny
  20. All sorted....Just me being stupid!
  21. Hi guys, hopefully a simple one this but I can't seem to work it out. I've always had the centre view/view reset on the joystick, button 5 but when I assign this now after installing the Saitek drivers it doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks.....
  22. I really hope they sort it. I’m gutted!!! Was running so well!!
  23. Same here mate...:(
  24. Anyone had a pretty noticeable performance drop since the latest couple of updates? I most certainly have. Micro stutters and FPS is down.
  25. I’m on the very latest beta and I’ve noticed the missing wing tip vortices on the F-15. Pretty sure it’ll get sorted...
