  1. Yeah 100% with this. When I switch to the Viper from the Hornet and vice versa I have to change the setting. With the Hornet setting in the Viper, it feels tiny! And if I leave the Viper setting and jump in the Hornet it feels and looks huge! Like a 747!
  2. Yep, can confirm this has definitely fixed the issue. Good work, thanks guys....
  3. Thanks, I’ll give it a try this weekend and post the result. Sounds positive!
  4. Ok, spot on. I’ll give this fix a try. Thanks mate...
  5. Cheers for this guys. Although I noticed in the latest patch it mentions a fix for the sun glare on the F-16....is this the official fix or something different?
  6. +1 I’m getting this too, quite badly.
  7. It’s a shame you can’t just lock the frames in Inspector to 60fps for example, like you can with TrackIR. The annoying thing is is that you get stutters but the frame rate is still high. It’s odd but I guess that’s how VR is.
  8. Yeah I was kind of hoping that ASW 2.0 would be supported but probably not. As you said, there’s a lot of headsets available now. What made you switch back to ASW on? Just out of interest. Looking at your specs you should be able to run with it off without any issues?
  9. Hi guys.... Not sure if anyone needs this info but I thought I’d share it. So I’ve been suffering from the dreaded ghosting effect with the Rift S and couldn’t get rid of it, until now.... I’ve basically lowered the PD in OTT down to 1.1 and turned ASW off. Still keeping the MSAA at x2 and settings are textures high, vis range medium, shadows off, trees 100%, pre load about half way. With these it’s sitting comfortably at 80fps and is glass smooth , even over the most tree populated areas on Caucasus. It’s got rid of the ghosting and as far as I can tell it’s had no effect on image quality at all. Both the Hornet & Viper cockpits seem to be as good as when I had PD set to 1.5. Odd!
  10. Done all that but still the same. I regularly delete the two folders as I know how important that is but nope, still getting the scenery going from blurry to render when I move my head around. Some parts of Caucasus are worse than others it appears. I’m at a loss as to what’s causing it. I’ve got nothing whatsoever on my computer apart from Windows 10 and DCS which is totally on its own on a separate SSD. Maybe a complete re-install of DCS?
  11. I’m getting the same.
  12. Is it me or does the Hornet run a lot better than the Viper? At the minute anyway. I’ve noticed in the F-16 the whole sim just doesn’t seem to run as well and I’m getting an awful amount of coil whine from my 1080Ti when in the F-16. Seems like it’s using a lot more resources to run it....the F-18 is fine, no issues at all. Anyone else noticed this?
  13. +1
  14. Thanks mate...god knows what’s causing it!
  15. Guys, is anyone getting some scenery issues with the Rift S on Caucasus? Blurry scenery which takes a few seconds to render? It’s driving me mad and I can’t seem to get to the bottom of it! Only does it when fairly high, looking out left and right etc it’s blurry and then takes a while to become clear. Thanks...
  16. Yeah me too. Happens in the Harrier too but seems worse in the F-16. Hornet is fine.
  17. Cheers mate, that’s answered it... Thanks guys...
  18. Ah ok, thanks. Never thought of that as I never had to in the Hornet. ????
  19. Just tried a one on one guns only with my mate in his Hornet but when I fire the gun I don’t see the tracer rounds?? Is this a known bug? Apologies if it’s already been mentioned...
  20. Haha! More than likely! Good old Lincolnshire!
  21. Is it me or are things running a lot better in this latest update? Anyone else noticed an improvement?
  22. I’m not sure if it’s anything to do with the latest update but this issue I’ve been having seems to have gone, well pretty much anyway. I noticed in the change log that it mentioned a VR render fix. Maybe that’s sorted it? BigNewy might be able to shed some light....
  23.
  24. Silly question maybe but what’s the autoexec.bat file and how did it sort the stutters? Just curious...
  25. The only way I can get rid of the ghosting effect is to turn off the ASW and let the frames go free and up to 85 and then down to like 60 ish when in the weeds. However, for whatever reason this induces awful stuttering I can't for the life of me work out why especially when the frames are high.
