  1. Well at least I know it’s not just me, was thinking I’d got something set wrong but seems that’s not the case. Let’s hope they can sort this. It’s not a major issue but an annoying one nonetheless!
  2. I really do hope they can sort it. Weird how it doesn’t do it on Caucasus...
  3. Yeah hopefully ED are aware of the issue. It did it when I was using the monitor, before I got the Rift. Strange how it’s only on PG & NTTR, and Normandy. I’ve tried everything but to no avail.
  4. I’ve noticed on both the NTTR & PG maps that when taking off/flying low etc the shrubs/bushes etc only load progressively and it’s really bugging me! It doesn’t happen with Caucasus. I think I’ve tried the most obvious settings to try and sort it but it’s still the same. Any ideas or is it just one of those things?
  5. Cheers guys... So once I point OTT to the DCS folder will that override the in game PD setting or do I have to do anything?
  6. So if settings are too high it’ll put ASW on? Mines locked at 40 with ASW on but when I turn it off it’s a mess, juddery. ASW is smooth as....however with it on I’m getting the ghosting effect. Would lowering my settings enable me to run with it off whilst still maintaining smooth performance?
  7. Mine seems to be locked at 40FPS for whatever reason, it’s glass smooth though. That’s with PD 1.5 and MSAA x2.
  8. Just an observation but why are people turning ASW off? I tried it and the frames jump between all sorts and it's juddery as hell. Am I doing something wrong??
  9. Hi guys, just got my Rift S and I was wondering if I should be using the Oculus Tray Tool for setting PD etc? Or is the in game one fine to use? Thanks...
  10. Yeah just tried it and still the same with mine, only on PG & NTTR though. Odd...
  11. So setting the grass slider to max stops the progressive loading?
  12. It’s probably one of my ex’s!
  13. I've noticed this on mine....how have you sorted it?
  14. Have you deleted your FXO & Metashaders 2 folders?
  15. Spot on mate, pleased it’s all sorted...enjoy!
  16. Oh, not on the C:/ under saved games? Strange...
  17. Have you deleted the FXO & Metashaders2 folders after any updates and GPU updates?
  18. Ah ok, that does make sense to be fair. I guess it's a similar thing going from a 1080p monitor to 1440p (like i did not so long back) and I found the resolution a lot better straight out the box. I need to persuade my mate who's lent me his Rift to buy a Reverb so I can borrow that too!
  19. Fair point and I’ve read good things re the Reverb but I’ve read reports that you’ll need a minimum 1080Ti to run it. Not a problem for me as I’ve got one but will a 1080Ti only just run it with dialled down settings etc? We need some proper back to back testing.
  20. Yeah I’m swaying towards the Rift if I’m honest. I was impressed...
  21. Well after a couple of days with my borrowed Rift S I can safely say I'm sold on the whole VR experience. It's amazing.... So, I'm about to pull the trigger on one but I've got something holding me back and it's called the Reverb........ What to do..?? :helpsmilie:
  22. Sorted the mouse mate, simply disable the hand controllers within DCS and it appears! Miles better now. Cheers for the help though mate..
  23. Well after about 5 mins on it last night i can safely say I'm hooked! This is going to be expensive! Felt a little sick for the first 10 mins or so but after that i was fine. Going to play about with all the settings tonight to see how far I can push it. 2x questions though....How do I enable the mouse cursor in the cockpit? Ticking the box in game doesn't work? Also, how do I re-centre the view? Do I have to map a button to it like I have with Track-IR? Thanks, Jonny
  24. Massive newby question here so forgive me for hijacking the thread but how do I enable the mouse cursor in game to be able to click the cockpit? I’m using the Rift S... Thanks guys...
