  1. Just FYI I just ordered a warthog for $332.99 + $23 tax for a total of $356 Not a bad deal if anyone is interested. http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/accessories/apd/a9168831?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A9168831
  2. Thats a great idea - Thanks!!
  3. PM sent :)
  4. Man - nice job!!!! I'd love to have one for the P-51!!!
  5. hmm - in the world of flight simulators whether combat or not - its a niche market and I'd love to see you name 3 or 4 flight sims that are on the same level of any DCS products. I'm definitely no fanboy - I just love flight sims, been playing since back in the Chuck Yeager days... This is a very intricate product with many pieces and components and yeah sometimes somethings might have issues, but I'd be hard pressed to find another flight sim on this level to give me the enjoyment that the DCS products do. It could be worse, DCS could go the way of MSFS , how would you feel then? For me, it would suck...
  6. not sure if its just me or not, but im having issues with late activation...
  7. So if I buy the BS2 Upgrade, then install DCS World, I have to also install BS1 for the upgrade to work? And then plug in my BS2 serial to DCS World?
  8. Ok - its been a long while since I've been able to fire up A-10C and do some flying...But I've finally gotten to the point where I can do it - but i need some help. I currently own DCS: A-10C and Black Shark 1. I've never install DCS World. I'm looking to re-format the harddrive and also take advantage of the DCS sale and maybe get P-51. So with that said, where do I start? Does Black Shark 1 need to be deactivated first? Does BS1 integrate with DCS World? When I goto my payments page on the dcs.com page, I see a transaction ID for BS1, but no serial? Do I need to deactive A-10 also? Once I re-format, I'm assuming I just download DCSWorld, then plug in my serial #s for modules? Or do I need to download modules. And I'm assuming a transaction ID is different than a serial for BS1. I just want to make sure I'm doing this all correctly - cant wait to get back in the saddle. :)
  9. I gotta figure this out also... probably RTFM would help me as well! I haven't played BS in forever, A-10C has occupied most of my free time, so getting back into a russian rotary is difficult to say the least...
  10. Nice screenshots!!! I can't wait for the new CBUs!!!
  11. try this, let me know if you want anything adjusted. air2air_training.miz
  12. Its interesting to see how this thread has morphed...my original post was simply a question if I was doing the right thing or screwing something up (router settings/Firewall, etc) in regards to the number of available servers. I hate the fact that it has basically become a pissing match of opinions between all of the excellent products created by ED.
  13. Check out my newer post about my first official MP session - http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=77631 I played again yesterday with Snuggles, and I have to say I am enjoying MP more and more. It was just him and I on his server, and I got great hands on training which probably would have taken me days/weeks to learn but with his help I picked up within an hour or two.
  14. I cant even begin to say how much fun I had. First let me say I can start the A-10C up fine, drop LGBs, JDAMs, mavs. Basic navigation stuff, diverting in the CDU getting calls from JTAC, but I definitely don't know all the intricacies of the CDU, TAD etc. So I've been hestitant to play online. I jumped on Savage 77th's sever this morning, joined their TS3 server and had a blast. Sunshine, Kiwi, Mustang, Snuggles, all you guys are a trip, made my first time very enjoyable and thanks for the brief education on TADS! To be completely honest, it was so much easier learning online from others than trying to suffer through it myself and not understanding what I was doing. So to all you out there that haven't played online, just do it...It will make your DCS A-10C experience that much more enjoyable. I'm already looking forward to playing tonight!! :)
  15. I can tell you that on my pc I have previously been able to have a RDP session going and alt-tab to it while playing DCS. This morning I tried and DCS crashed...I only did it in multiplayer, I was able to play single and alt-tab just fine back to my RDP session.
  16. Ok, back on topic... :D I played with some of the S77th guys this morning for the first "official" time...I had a blast...
  17. Im running latest and greatest ...1109
  18. Sleem I think I saw you online, I was "jay" on the 104th svr. (I think that's where I saw you.) I bounced around to the few that were open.
  19. So I'm venturing into the unknown, hit multiplayer for the first time, and only 8 servers are popping up? I know I'm in an off peak time right now, I'm eastern time zone in the US, but is there really only 8 servers available for multiplayer? Just want to make sure I'm not missing something.
  20. Wow!! Nice guide!!
  21. Awesome! Glad you liked it... Timing is everything on extraction, however that timing is directly related to your ingress timing and when you release Sandy from hold. Tried to strike a good, challenging yet realistic balance
  22. Ok here it is, my first official mission for the community. Please tell me how you like it and any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated! Background: You are returning from a lone patrol, you're low on fuel and approaching final for landing. Your mission in this area has been to provide relief supplies, food, etc to a local village supporting our cause. Rebel insurgents have been patiently waiting to ambush these plans, and today looks to be the day. Mission Overview: Juliet 6-4 was the Blackhawk providing supplies, and has been shot down. The chopper crashed somewhere north of the village, and the pilot was heading for the hills north of the city. Rebels are gathering a search party from other towns, consisting of technicals and a command vehicle. The rebel leader is currently awaiting the arrival of the search parties at a key bridge. With the bridge and commander gone, the search parties hopefully have no way to get to the downed pilot. However, once you engage the commander, you are stirring the hornet's nest and expect more forces to join in with the rebels. We are not expecting the rebels to have any air forces but just be aware they may get support from local militias - capturing a downed US airman would do wonders for their morale. Sandy (Enfield 1-1), a rescue UH-60, is currently at hold point Charlie awaiting your go ahead to proceed in the search and rescue. You must escort Sandy both to and from the downed pilot, of course if you, Sandy, or the pilot are killed your mission has been a failure. Tips: You can either stay high, utilizing targeting pod, and standoff weapons or go NOE - Each has advantages and disadvantages. Adjust your default chaff/flare programs. Keep your head on a swivel and your eyes open. Current satelite images showing possible crash site and pilot location - Operation Provide Hope CSAR.miz
