  1. Yep. DATA subformat, WYPT, UFC, POSN, enter north/west coords.
  2. OK Bard, here's a step by step for HARM TOO mode. 1. A/G Master Mode 2. Master Arm set to ARM 3. Select HARM DSPLY on the TAC menu (alternatively select HARM in STORES format) 4. Assign TDC priority to HARM DSPLY via sensor control switch. Confirm diamond is in upper right corner of the HARM DSPLY format 5. Use RAID/FOV switch to cycle emitters. 6. Press cage/uncage to hand-off emitter to HARM. Confirm "H-OFF" is displayed. 7. Depress weapons release button.
  3. Sensor control switch is a switch on the stick. It's just called that I guess cause it... controls sensors in some way.
  4. Sorry, I mean it will be red when the HAFU is displayed somewhere, as in on a page, where color is enabled. You can disable the color in the RDR ATTK page. If HAFU color is enabled hostile will always be red. They go hand in hand. And yes but you don't need to TDC over on the SA format for the airplane to know the NCTR result, so it will still identify it as hostile. That's just for you to see the result.
  5. You can do all IFF-ing from just the RDR ATTK format. You don't need to toggle to the SA. Also, hostile does not mean you can or cannot fire. All it is is trying to aid the pilot. It's up to you whether you know it's a hostile or not for sure. If the plane marks it hostile it's very likely it is, as either another plane already confirmed + you got no IFF return or you NCTR'd it and got no IFF return as well. The caret/triangle/chevron is the hostile HAFU symbol. It will be red when it is somewhere it is colored (you can disable color in the RDR ATTK format), always -- the color is just a way to make it more intuitive. To note, with the AZ/EL format we'll be getting some automatic IFF options.
  6. The heading shown at the top of the RDR ATTK format is the true heading instead of the mag heading. Reproduce: look at the RDR ATTK format and cross-check with your heading tape. It will be, on the PG map for example with magnetic variance of 2, 2 degrees off.
  7. I definitely don't think this should take priority over doing the aircraft systems but sometime down the line it would be really cool to see all the switches on the throttle and stick to move in the cockpit, like the A-10C does.
  8. You did cursor over the target on the SA page right? You won't show any info without that. But if it did show as unknown then your NCTR just didn't work. Might've just been the angle or something. Test it again.
  9. The bottom is a what a donor sees it as. The top is what your aircraft designates it as and what the color is from. It's not "necessary" - the HAFUs are for pilot situational awareness, they don't tell the plane what to do or anything. That's interesting. With NCTR checked and you being in an STT lock it should work.
  10. 1 Yes, it's the HAFU being a triangle and normally red. 2 No, if you have an F/F or SURV donor already saying it's hostile. 3 You need NCTR enabled on the RDR ATTK format and you need to be nose on nose or nose on tail about 30 degrees; the radar needs to be able to get a good look at the engine fanblades
  11. Ah right thanks for the correction dudes. That makes more sense actually
  12. Your radar isn't sending out an IFF interrogation. It's a normal radio broadcast via your IFF capable transponder.
  13. You do indeed use SCS depress on the radar page for IFF just like you can on the SA page.
  14. Ahh right, that makes sense. Thanks!
  15. So I get the point of entering a time on target. Designate a waypoint as the TGT, enter your desired TOT, and the HSI tells you how fast you need to go to get to that waypoint at that time. But what's the purpose of manually entering your groundspeed to a waypoint? This doesn't seem to have much use, unless I'm missing something.
  16. I -highly- doubt ED would limit ACL to the paid carrier.
  17. Interesting this is correct behavior. Thanks for the response ED!
  18. Designated target 2 -- your second target you're tracking in LTWS (also when we get TWS I think too) Launch & steering target - the first target you're tracking in LTWS (again also in TWS I think) or the Target you're single target tracking (STT)-ing (STT=traditional lock). SSS = sensor select switch.
  19. When in LTWS and I designate a target as L&S, the indicative star on the HAFU shows up on the RDR ATTK format but not the SA format. When I go to STT, it then shows up on SA. Additionally, the DT2 diamond indication never shows on the SA page.
  20. Yeah I'm talking about the RDR ATTK format. What I was saying is the color is not the only indication - the symbol itself is also which does stay correct. Triangle is hostile, half circle is friendly, unknown is staple and ambiguous is a thicker staple.
  21. What Harker said, this isn't a bug. THe reason the box is so accurate in STT is because it's scanning that target only and repeatedly.
  22. Well you still see the HAFU symbol, it's just not colored. The main indication is the HAFU symbol itself, color is just an extra element, but when you have the HAFUs colored in LTWS then not colored in STT it can be a bit counter-intuitive.
  23. Ahh right, thanks. So, three presses to STT the DT2.
  24. You'll need to hit the RESET button on the right side of the format.
  25. Correct. First soft lock will designate launch & steer, second (on another target) will make it designated target 2. Then TDC depressing again on the L&S or DT2 will STT it.
