TouchPal - Touchscreen Cockpit

102 patch and touchpal and multiscreen Touchpal seems not to work anympore with 1.02 patch export.lua is Ok for multiscreen , Haeris from french 16thBlackReapers squadron found that one : Keys profiles backing up "/Config/Input" from 101 folder and pasting it in new 102 works fine File export.lua: old 101 one is compatible without any error with 102 Grafics settings: old 101 file "option.lua" is no more compatible with 102 First settings to do directly in BS options Then to have multiscreen working correctly you need to Edit adequate file in /Config/MonitorSetup, so you need to add following code at start of that file _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('XXXX'); -- where XXXX is filename without lua extension Then in options.lua , find line "multiMonitorSetup" and add filename without ".lua" extension. Last, edit and correct line "width" with appropriate value Last info : they corrected the comms screen : no more on the right now but on the main screen ! EDIT 18/05/10 but for touchpal : Touchpal display and ABRIS export is OK but touching touchpal screen doesn't launch anything, as if touch fact was not recognized. Touching main Bs screen is ok on the other hand. the touchpal bug is solved : the user who sent that t o me had an inversion of drivers between the two screens : it is solved touchpal works normally. -
thanks for the info ,waiting localized versions

excellent work indeed !! the spirit of what I wanted to achieve and the nice touch of having it working simply and efficiently !! With these ones it becomes accessible to export flight time, hour, fuel consumption and so on ... I think... may be : ergonomic usefull after flight for analyzing performance be used as a cheat... to discuss ... I think some usefull tools could be achieved knowing these function names and formats !!! I thank you very gracefully mr Topdog !!!

@ G3 : more ram and 64bits will give you 10 FPS more minimum, that is what I got at the time I did it last year. -
OK thank you for your kind and quick reply. Without more info from DCS team we just have to loop around all panels and add an error interception in the script in case it has no updateargument ability, that is your answer ?

Need Help BSVP + SIOC Hello Mister Oakes. I ask you some details about the way to have BSVP + SIOC + BS altogether, because I have a french and non english speaking user who have many difficulties :helpsmilie: He started from a functionnal LOFC cockpit based on 4 SIOC cards. He managed suscessfully 3 screens displays for BS He managed SIOC successfully with the help of your files (version 2.1) and he is very happy and gracefull for the big work you have done. He managed sucessfully BSVP. BUT he can't have the two altogether.:( I asked his export.lua files and have noticed that the IPs and ports were the same, source of conflicts. I sent him this one, but it is theoritical for me because I don't use SIOC for the time... and he said me that it was a no go. Is this following stuff FALSE and not the way to do, (in that case I don't have understood very well....:music_whistling:) or is there anything else ? your help will be very appreciated

I need some help with lua Hello all the pits fanatics ! In my attempts to expand my touchpal profile abilities, I am interested in reading arguments values from the panels other than MainPanel. But I feel a little on my own with that piece of export.lua editing. As my knowledge of this langage is just the rookie level I think I need some help. I made the export.lua script included in the joined zip file the purpose is neither to drive a pit, nor touchpal for the time. It is just made to validate recursive processing to gain infos to debug to \TEMP\Export.log and if found, errors to error.log (would be best if nothing in that one...) I made a table of all other tables to read Arguments values from other elements that are not inside Mainpanel. I don't know why the update_element() action in the script on line 295 triggers an error : Lua::Config::call error LuaExportAfterNextFrame:./Config/Export/Export.lua:295: attempt to call method 'update_arguments' (a nil value) I would be very happy if someone could look at this script to tell me about errors or no go if any... you can event test the script : >>but first backup your one ! << then by unzipping, and renamming it with just export.lua as name, and then copy and replace your one at \config\export. launch BS, then at a moment stop it (escape and exit) then look at error.log and export.log. My objective is to have outputs from BS to LEDs in real pit or signal on touchpal for elements not in mainpanel.lua I never saw anyone publishing about that ... so I have doubts about this ability... but hope is hope... ( Oakes ? any idea ? ) export.luaHellfrog.TestDebugAllPanel.zip

yes Sweinhart, you are totally right, I forgot that point. He can use a simple contact pressed at each extremity of the travel of the end of the handle, BUT in his strategy, each contact is used for one button, and there will be is another problem : in BS you have only one key input for open and off. so without programmation, it will be difficult to use the two contacts. He will open OR close but not the two ! so you fall again on same problem as above

french traduction pour les français : traduction disponible french translation available on download section on http://www.checksix-fr.com/ section DCS BS / documents (and on C6 forum here http://www.checksix-forums.com/showthread.php?t=160256 but that link won't stay long time)

whatever is your card or hardware, you allways have to use : hardware method : you have a directX axe input recognized in windows and then you affect that axe to the BS command in the options of the game software method : your card should be driven by a software that soft should send strings to export.lua via udp or tcp port. then you have to edit the export.lua (as explained and used in touhpal and sioc projects as exemples) to have it activate the connection and ports and to interprete the received string for BS via the 'performclickableaction' lua syntax in export.lua
-
you can use SIOC to physically interface your pots with export.lua and BS : look at Oakes threads and project site. or look at the touchpal thread that script below will do that ; in both cases you have to edit the export.lua as to have it work with the scripts (see touchpal or SIOC documentation and projects for more infos) ex with touchpal : look also here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=810897

@herr_lask suggestions : verify admin rights on running the exes verify dotnetframework updates on microsoft @G3 : ram on graphic card ? GPU ? CPU OVC ? 64 bits OS and more RAM ? you may gain 20 fps with a recent pc config... see others'pits threads... BUT on XP 32 with less then 3Gb RAm and 512Mo RAM for GPU and CPU below 3.2GHz you can't have significant gain without decreasing total screen width... -

some work from Mainpanelinit.lua see linked files used in touchpal or SIOC : these values are exported from BS and read in SIOC or touchpal to update the display of lights and some buttons synchronized with sim status don't confuse with datas from clickabledata.lua, used to send inputs from Touchpal or SIOC to BS the main problem is : not all buttons in clickabledata.lua have an equivalent in mainpanel.lua : so you may send input to BS, but there are some cases where you cannot update the status of the button in touchpal synchronized with BS... although it is only programmation bugs from myself... still to explore on that way to come soon : an utility that read touchpal.xml and export as condensed way in notepad all {button : name, ID, X, Y, key pushed or networksend action}, usefull to find doublons and errors in large files. export.Hell.MainpanelOutput.zip export.lua.Hellfrog.MainpanelOutput.pdf
