  1. Hi f410. Thanks for the hotfixes :-) I've downloaded 1.3.6.3 and have tried with the ForceFeel. Jetseat control handler Electronic effects to max, and the physical dial is set to max to get maximum effect for testing. While I can see events being logged on SSA, I'm not feeling anything. I tried both F/A-18 and Generic Jet profiles. Image here: https://imgur.com/t2rgZRl I have tried several things: 1) Removing the previous install (1.3.6.0) using 'Remove program' on Win10 and reinstalling. 2) Navigating to the SSA install folder and manually deleting the folders after using the above. and reinstalling. Let me know of any further information you might need.
  2. Hi C787546 - I also got this but fixed it by downloading the jetseat control app from here: https://dreamsimteam.blogspot.com/p/downloads.html?m=1
  3. Hi f410. I have the Force Feel set up and connected to SSAbeta 1.3.6.0 and I can see effects playing from the log in SSA, e.g. 23:02:59.128 Ground rolling. File = hp_4_0_4.: Start continued vibe, gain1 = 0.25 gain2 = 1 (12500) 23:02:59.131 4.Ground Bumps - rolling. File = hp_4_0_4. 23:02:59.145 4.Ground Bumps - rolling. File = hp_4_0_4. 23:02:59.166 4.Ground Bumps - rolling. File = hp_4_0_4. 23:02:59.187 4.Ground Bumps - rolling. File = hp_4_0_4. However all I am feeling is the front two transducers on the seat giving a constant low rumble (Motors 1 and 2 in the ForceFeel Control Center). This rumble seems irrelevant of action, and indeed I feel it in the menus. All 8 motors work in the ForceFeel control center test mode. I have to finish for tonight but will check back in in the morning UK time to see if there's any suggestions. My assumption is the Uwv files I copied to create the ForceFeelEffects folder/files need to be different for the Forcefeel than the Jetseat - hence no vibration. Thanks for working on this - I have hope! :-)
  4. I googled it and found this: http://dsteam.azurewebsites.net/SSA/beta/publish.htm
  5. Hi f410 and any one else with a ForceFeel. I have spotted a problem with the beta build 1.3.6. I was getting error messages on starting DCS saying ForceFeelEffects/click.uwv (and many others) couldn't be found. I fixed this by: 1) I alt+tab'ed to the SSA application 2) Clicked on 'Service' then 'SSA folder' to find the install. 3) Opened 'Data' folder 4) Copied folder 'ibaVibroEffects' (where such files appear to be located) 5) Pasted the copy into 'Data' folder. 6) Renamed 'ibaVibroEffects' to 'ForceFeelEffects' This has had the impact of changing the seat handler 'status' of my seat to 'ok’ however it is entirely possible that these effects are the ‘wrong ones’ I'm about to go for my first flight :-) will update soon how it was :-)
  6. Yay! Will try to download and try it out on my ForceFeel! How would you prefer to receive feedback?
  7. Hi All, I fly in DCS using the Oculus rift and it is a fantastic experience. One thing however does detract from the overall experience for me however. We know that zoom functions in flight simulators are a replacement for our eyes ability to perceive small far away things with better acuity than on a flatscreen, and this is equally true of VR headsets - especially due to the low resolution and performance/artifacting issue from ASW and similar techniques bring. Spotting in VR is difficult, be it ground targets, air targets or friendly flight mates. At the moment - the VR zoom is good enough for use in the cockpit to focus on an instrument, but it is not really enough to be able to use for spotting targets. This is more than likely due to fears of ‘confort’ Issues for VR users. In IL2 this has been resolved to an extent using a mod that: 1) enables a dual power zoom with different keybinds. 2) gives users control of the power of each zoom level so they can select the magnification for how experienced/comfortable they are using it. I would really like therefore something similar in DCS, mainly for VR users, but also useable for trackir users as I see no problems with both sets having access to this type of setting, however given VR zoom is a separate function/keybind this may be more difficult for ED to do. I don’t think this would be a blocker though as trackir users would have the benefits of a more powerful zoom and better resolution already. I would see this as being an extra setting, either in special or Vr page that enables a ‘spotting zoom’ via a separate keybind. This could be for the start twice as powerful as current VR zoom, however the ability of the player to specify which zoom levels they want for each of these different zooms could be user selectable (from a pre set list to ensure balance/ensurin ED control to prevent edge cases). What are people’s thoughts in this proposal? Is there a way to improve the current zoom levels using a mod?m in the way once described? Cheers all....
  8. We did try radar on/off toggling, but didn't (that I remember) wait X seconds....
  9. Reproducible: 50% Date: 2018-02-25 Sim version: 2.5.4.27314 Open Beta Mission: Multiplayer (Mission attached) Steps to reproduce: 1. Have two players in Multiplayer mission- starting distance 15 to 20 nm apart, head on, co altitude 2. One player spawns in 3. Second player spawns in after first 4. 2nd player checks radar - sees no contact 5. 2nd player brings range scale into 5nm and then back to 40 6. 1st Player will appear on 2nd player radar Problem: Radar not functioning correctly for 2nd player spawning in to server until the range scale brought into 5nm and back out. Track: Track attached showing the issue and workaround Desired solution: Radar functions on spawn in and detects previous players SP/MP: Seems to only impact MP System spec: Tested on two systems with same result by two separate players Controllers: Tested on different controller setups and Flat screen/VR 18-vs-18-heaters.miz 18-vs-18-heaters-20190225-211319.trk
  10. Sorry F410 - I only have the FF
  11. First F14 in 'days' and now this? I can only take so much hype!
  12. I'm quite pleased with how i've got the Forcefeel working using Voicemeeter Banana. Don't get me wrong - I *really* want the software integration asap for the extra effects and plane specific settings - but it does add to the experience flying.... I was practicing co-ordinated turns with my squadron and flew close behind my lead's plane and just the noise driven effect was great! I would say that getting the original Jetseat will be quicker as I believe FF is out of stock now (probably pending integration and enough pre-order interest to make a new batch).
  13. Good question - I too would like to know....
  14. Oh - and tbh I would expect it to rumble all the time in something like a WEII bird with the big engine firing away up front. Trick would be to use the EQ to cut that down to a barely there vibration, and then other sounds on top (like gunfire) would come through. Why we need ssaviator support is so we can tweak this stuff natively using events...
  15. Make sure your discord and team speak and any other comma programs are set to use Voicemeeter AUX as the input/output. Also use the EQ box in the bottom right output channel that corresponds to the Forcefeel. Use right click to enter the EW (iirc) and lower the sliders to about min for everything else. If it is continuously rumbling I wonder if there is a constant signal on that headphone, or do you have music on?
  16. OK. I believe I have found out a way to do this in soundmode pending proper software integration.. I had two problems. 1) I fly in Oculus Rift. I couldn't seem to get DCS sounds to reliably come out of BOTH my headset and my 'default' sound device (forcefeel) using audio mirroring in Oculus Device settings. 2) When I COULD get it working, I would also have the Forcefeel react to things like Teamspeak (and I know some rumbly voices.....) So problem 1 appears to be because there is a setting in DCS to EXCLUSIVELY send VR audio to a VR headset. That can be turned off here (untick it): https://imgur.com/t6yP1EV The second issue (of getting separation between Game sounds and other sounds was solved using a free program (Voicemeeter Banana) that is a virtual mixing deck. Voicemeeter Banana is available here: https://www.vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/banana.htmhttps://www.vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/banana.htm. When you have downloaded the software the steps that worked for me were: 1) Set VMB as the input AND outputs: https://imgur.com/1q3m1e5 and https://imgur.com/wUIZPZQ Note - playback device = VM input, recording device = VM output which is counterintuitive) 2) Set up my hardware inputs as my microphones, and my outputs as my speakers/forcefeel. 3) Use Voicemeeter VAIO as game/computer sounds (to go to my headset AND Forcefeel) and Voicemeeter AUX VAIO as teamspeak/discord/VOIP sounds to go only to my headsets. You can see in my settings how I did the above here: https://imgur.com/xBmxd5F that Output A2 is my forcefeel. I've highlighted in yellow all the 'Forcefeel' relevant settings so you can see the setup. I've used the EQ on A2/Forcefeel to tone down high frequency sounds (like the Hornet DEEDLE DEEDLE) so it only reacts to 'bass'. Hope this helps anyone else in my boat!
  17. Hi Andre, Do you know if using SS Aviator and soundmodule add on would translate in game DCs events to the Forcefeel seat (pending full software integration). I’m having real trouble getting it working with my oculus rift in soundmode
  18. Whatever was working when I received the seat a week ago is no longer working. I am unable to get soundmode working so that I have DCS audio in my headset, and sensations from the ForceFeel. Not happy with the lack of support from Realteus on this. Quite how they managed to have significant delays and still ship a product that cannot connect via software to programs like DCS is unfathomable to me. Any suggestions?
  19. I guess the answer is ‘maybe’ but i’m Not about to spend $89 to find out if it does when DCS should have been supported using one of Simshaked wings or aviator out of the box... Realteus needs to step up and get it sorted out by ASAP by whatever means available to them using the finances we gave them for a product.
  20. It's worse for me as I use a repurposed IKEA chair as a simpit about 2m from my computer! I've ended up using a 2M power and Headset cable extension to get the power and signal out to it. USB would be no issue as it's got a USB hub mounted on it. I kind of feel that the Wings side has been let down in comparison to the wheels side....
  21. Happy to help @cobra - I used to approve marketing copy so I got good at finding typo’s. plus I have a few hours to kill tomorrow... *let me get my green pen out...*
  22. Got mine - UK based.
  23. Just received my ForceFeel and got it working in soundmode. I can see the possibilities so adding my 'wish' for integration with DCS proper.... ;-) Thanks for all you do!
  24. Finally received my ForceFeel (EU Order #1388 if you are wondering where in the queue you are for delivery!). First impressions - nice looking and feeling - and comfortable enough on my IKEA POANG based simpit chair. I could feel *something* in Soundmode but it was so weak I was starting to get worried - until I set it to 'default' application and suddenly it came to life! It's simple all over rumble for now - but even that adds an edge. The landing and rumble of the tyres really works! Now we just need the software integrated for things like wing buffet etc. I don't know what's going on there - and there is no clear answer as to if it should be SSWings, or SSAviator that needs to set it up (SSWings was included but doesn't support DCS). I don't really care which program I have to use and will pay for Aviator if I need to, but I really hope it comes soon....
