  1. This is great! Brian at SI did mention to me that they could probably support the UHF frequencies for DCS so I think if he does that you could make the UHF radio work correctly. He said they strip those out for Flight Sim but he could add it back in for DCS after someone made an adaptor.
  2. I have no idea how to help you but I appreciate you taking a stab at this. I know that I talked to the dev a few days ago and VHF and UHF frequencies should be possible for DCS. He mentioned that currently the UHF freqs are stripped out for the civil flight sims but they could be put back in for DCS so both radios should be able to work. I also discussed with him after this gets working being able to add departure and arrival procedures for Nellis and it sounded like that was definitely possible. I'm talking the procedures like the Flex North and West departure and recoveries from the ranges and not the published stuff.
  3. That is asking you not to simulate hijackings, bomb threats, etc. This was originally made for civilian flight sims. I’m not sure about any changes when being used with DCS. We can’t just export our own telemetry for it. It’s not made for DCS yet. Someone who can program needs to make an interface between DCS and their API. If that’s what you’re trying to do I would encourage you to get ahold of them for more information. Hopefully someone will be able to make an interface so we could use this with DCS and have some of the best ATC currently available outside of real humans.
  4. Hello, i have been a subscriber to SayIntentions.AI for ATC in another Flight Simulator for over a year and its great. I’ve really been hoping it could one day be used in DCS and now it’s possible with their SimAPI. I am posting here because I am not a programmer and it is my hope that someone with that knowledge could check out this video and write an adapter to connect DCS. This would offer VFR and IFR ATC powered by AI for DCS. I’m not associated with their company. I am just a satisfied subscriber who would love to have this in DCS especially for the NTTR map. I’m not here to start or get into a debate about their subscription fees and what not. I am just trying to get this out there in the hopes that someone can help make this happen. Additionally I believe that the Nellis departure and arrival procedures can be programmed into the AI to make it even more realistic. Here is the video announcement from today:
  5. I just had this and had no idea why it crashed until I came in here. It was a single player mission on the Nevada map. The game crashed when I armed the Laser switch. dcs.log

  7. I'm having an issue where Open VR Kneeboard moves positions every time I load into DCS and also during flight. I've never had this problem and been using it for months. I keep having to go in and adjust the kneeboard position every time. Any suggestions?
  8. Follow up after I started thinking about this error....solution for me was to Install the DCS Huey module which I had uninstalled. Once I did Kneeboard Builder now works fine.

  11. I had some FPS Issues with the 476th NTTR Missions as well. Make sure if you are running TacView that it's turned off and not recording. The large FPS drops that I had were due to TacView running. Once I disabled it in the menu in the DCS Settings FPS returned to normal. I did still have to use either the 60s or 70s mission as the mission including all the ranges was still too much of a hit. But now it's running fine in VR and I have an i7 7700k with a GTX1080.   12. Using the latest Open Beta and still only getting numbers for the callsign in the Hornet. Tactical callsigns should be used during the mission with MODEX (side) numbers only used around the boat. Right now it's using a 3 digit number for everything. Hopefully this can be fixed...it's difficult to tell in the mission when I am supposed to be Colt 1-1 when radio calls are made.

  14. The JTAC in the Nevada mission is getting killed at some point after starting the mission. So if you are quick on the radio you will get the first call and then he won't be available anymore. If you wait to try and call him the first time he won't be there because he's dead. I edited the mission to make the JTAC invisible following some directions in this forum and then saved a customized mission with that setting. That's the only fix right now until ED can change their mission to keep the JTAC from dying. Brandon
  15. Just confirming that I have flown enough now to see this as an issue. Hopefully it's just temporary. The side numbers are used for operations around the boat but the tactical callsigns (Enfield, Colt, etc.) should still be used elsewhere during the missions. Maybe they're still figuring out how to use both with the new carrier communications. Brandon
  16. I have flown this mission twice and I am seeing the same problem as you. First LGB drop goes fine and then I can’t get past the 9 line readback menu. JTAC says readback correct but the menu never changes. I tried reading back about 10 times and it never changed. So I just went and tried to splash the Migs and headed home. Fired my 2 AIM-120s inside of 20nm and both missed which I saw in another thread that AMRAAMs are having tracking issues in the latest Open Beta which is what I am flying. Brandon
  17. The Navy uses numerical callsigns around the boat but the tactical callsigns should be used elsewhere. I believe I have been seeing this same issue as the original poster described however I haven’t flown enough with talking on the radios to notice it as I’ve been doing a lot of training missions in the Hornet as a new DCS pilot. Anyway the tactical callsigns should still be used and if they aren’t then there is a problem.

  19. I am having the same problem with the last two Open Beta's but I've only seen it on the Nevada map. It happens with some Missions and also some Instant Action. I know NineLine has seen it reported but I don't know if they have a fix yet. Brandon
  20. NineLine, I just updated to the latest OpenBeta today and I am still getting a World Preload 1/60 freeze on some Nevada missions. This is with no mods. Other missions load just fine but for example I just tried the Nevada AIM-7 Sparrow mission and it gets stuck as soon as it hits World Preload 1/60. Brandon
  21. I am getting a World Preload 1/60 freeze on some Nevada missions. I don't have any mods and this just started happening with the last Open Beta. I have not updated yet today to see if there is any fix with the newest OB.
