After the release of F16C, TWS will be developed in conjunction with F/A18C.

Ha-ha! You are very humorous.

Status of proper FLIR subsystem and the actual ATFLIR pod?

Thank you! As long as the official team has new messaging, I am very satisfied!

After completing AGM62, does SLAM need to be redesigned and developed? I remember that SLAM already exists in DCS, but only AI can use it at present.
-
Thank you very much.

AGM62 has its own characteristics. But one of the reasons why we expect it is that we need to use the data link pod to throw it. The data link pod is used for SLAM and SLAM-ER at the same time, and the completion of AGM62 may speed up the progress of SLAM and SLAM-ER. This is the most powerful long-range weapon F/A18 can possess.

Hi! I want to know, ladies and gentlemen, how far can F/A18C's aiming pod detect friendly laser?

00:10 briefly introduces C802AK and C802AKG; 00:40 briefly introduces air-to-ground radar and sea search mode. 03:35 introduces the relevant settings of C802AK anti-ship missile. The related settings of CM802AKG long-range air-to-surface missile are introduced at 06:35. 09:05CM802AKG transfers images to the aircraft screen! ; The model of CM802AKG long-range air-to-surface missile is further introduced at 11:00. 11:40 demonstrates the capability of CM802AKG long-range air-to-ground missile to follow the route point. 16:35 announces the plan. Next week, new video will be aimed at air-to-air radar, including RWS, TWS, VS, ACM!

Don't worry about it! Everything is going on, and the development of F/A18 is not stagnating. There is no substitute for another to become the focus of development, nor is there "stimulated by a module, forced to accelerate progress". Other development teams have their own plans, and ED development teams also have their own plans. They don't interfere with each other. Mobilizing some members of F/A18C to F16C is just a normal staff transfer. I don't understand why it is annoying and disturbing to mobilize more people to join the development of F16 so that it can be released as scheduled as possible. We should all have enough mental preparation when we first buy. "EA stage, the time may be very long." I have to admit frankly that the development time of Rhubarb Peak is beyond the endurance limit of many people, including me. I do regret buying EA products. And in the future, keep your head clear and stop buying EA products. But one thing we have to understand! The purchase of F/A18C has become a fact. It's our choice. No one has fooled us into buying it. So there is no reason to complain. Now, we need and must trust them. All modules will be completed in the future.

I have a confusion now. About the effective range of CM802AKG in the game. Just over a hundred kilometers? Under what conditions can the range reach 230 kilometers?
-
Hi! There is no need to worry. First point: CM802AKG has a standard range of about 120 nautical miles, but F/A18C's SLAM-ER has a further 150 nautical miles. Both camps have the same level of weapons. Second point: DCS World does not focus on competitive games, but more on authenticity. Since a certain kind of aircraft has it, it should be simulated, which will give us more choices and fun. If someone doesn't like it, the online server can completely prohibit it. Third point: rest assured! Long-range air-to-surface missiles are not invincible magic weapons. Extreme range is a double-edged sword. Although it can keep the aircraft away from the enemy's air defense, it takes a long flight and a long span to reach the target. Ground close-range air defense missiles have enough time and space to shoot down missiles. This means that, on the one hand, it provides the safest operational distance for the aircraft. On the other hand, it is difficult for missiles to avoid a large number of SAM and AA systems and successfully hit targets.

According to their plan, a second video will be released next week after the first video is released. The latest video will show both C802 anti-ship missile and CM802AKG long-range air-to-ground missile, even air-to-ground radar. We'll see it in a few days!

In full agreement! In the real world, the aircraft relies on a huge and complex system as a trivial part of it. A lot of things don't need pilots to do. That's the responsibility of other combat units. Imagine this: the cost of procurement for a country's army is amazing. If the function is really "unusable" or "rarely usable". They will never waste precious money on purchasing useless things. They will ask suppliers to castrate useless functions in order to save as much as possible. As for JF17, one tester briefly revealed his feelings: turn on the Air-to-Ground radar scanning, then use the aiming pod to further identify the highlights on the radar screen, and then throw ammunition... Driving JF17 to attack ground targets is a new experience! Unprecedented ease, simplicity and efficiency. At present, we are far from being able to compare with the army in the real world, and the air-ground cooperation is still rather crude and inefficient. Most of the time, we need to find our own goals. I believe that the appearance of F/A18C air-to-ground radar will certainly change the rules of the game. Bring us a new experience!

Thank you for your reply. That is to say, in the foreseeable future. Is it very difficult to simulate this Chinese aircraft in the United States? What a pity!
-
Maybe it's the J8II Fighter Based on the Pearl of Peace program between China and the United States. Unfortunately, the plan was terminated halfway later, but the plane stayed in the United States, maybe it could be simulated?
-
Maybe you should take a look at this picture, which contains the ammunition that can be owned during the EA phase. JF17 can carry up to four over-the-horizon air-to-air missiles and two short-range missiles. Among them, SD-10 is mounted on No. 2 and No. 6 racks, and dual racks can be used. Unfortunately, the position of the sub-tank can not be used, because the smoke emitted by the SD-10 engine is very large, if it is too close to the intake port, it may cause engine failure.

ED has many things to do, such as map, dynamic battle, platform maintenance and so on. It's not just about making an airplane. I believe that F/A18 will be completed in the future. At present, JF17 is far ahead of schedule, which does not mean anything.
-
Maybe you don't pay much attention to the JF17. It is not as famous as F/A18 and F16. At present, EXP and DBS modes are not ideal in the testing process. These two patterns do not occur in the EA phase. As for the other sub-modes of air-to-ground radar, they have been implemented and can be enjoyed in EA stage. This is an amazing achievement. This technology is developed by themselves and has nothing to do with F/A18. The F/A18 of ED has its own unique air-to-ground radar technology.

As early as 2017, DIS began to consider different coatings in different countries. Here are some of the original paints https://m.weibo.cn/3293088907/4129436427609347A

Currently, eight different targets can be attacked. But the last four goals have to switch PP manually. Is there any hope that this will change in the future? I mean more convenient, no extra operation.

The engineers in charge of the related work have been discharged from the hospital, and they are speeding up the progress. Maybe a month from now it will be totally different.
