  1. I have a reliable contact that said a release date will be announced when this thread reaches 100 pages.
  2. The post above the post above is a lie. 2 WEEKS
  3. Then you have not been noticing Wags saying on yt that it will release in feb?:pilotfly:
  4. I accidentally did shut down my vm after taking the screen and posting this. Is this the actual mission length? Because that would mean you will either have to refuel or do some high alt magic. I simply did not thought the mission will include refueling. Edit: Omg it is in the actual briefing -_-
  5. I see, those are still very conservative guesses. And the conservative ones proved to be better for now :book: I personally still have hopes for february. It could be the 13th, 15th or 27th. I choose the 15th. It would be funny if we knew it all the time :megalol:
  6. Alright, lets get back to the topic :) How about an announcement of an announcement? Cobra said they would set an internal date during the last week. So... when will it get public? Anybody wants to place a pick on possible OBU days? Or what about the "mysterious" Feb 15 spotted on steam some time ago. It could be just politics, but isnt it tempting? It might also have been a really good guess that got hidden :D
  7. A lot of notice defined astronomically is maximum 7 days. A meterological lot is 5 days max.
  8. If the server is not heavily utilizing multithreadding having many "slow" cores sadly wont be better than having few fast cores.
  9. It might just be the B, but the size wont double with the A. There will be many resources shared betweeen them.
  10. Ofc not because it is not build for sustaining the high structual load. If we had a bomber with a structure strong enough to pull 8G and engines powerfull enough, I guess it could outturn a fighter.
  11. Tell me more about how you can read the year someone was born out of his forum posts
  12. OMG if this goes into the release version I am going to sue them so hard!!! Heatblur was cursed to fail with the tomcat, this is going to be terrible. Can I please cancel my preorder? This needs to blow up on reddit. Stop the hypetrain, get out the pitchforks!
  13. Be patient, a release date will be set heatblur internally thisweek and probably also be published within the next 7 days.
  14. Next week: "Yeah so the team agreed that we will release between february and end of winter" Man I would love to see our faces :D
  15. There have been some small text updates in the release date discussion thread. But basically there is nothing new about the tomcat status and therefore there have been no strict weekly updates. Just enjoy the slow but steady flow of content on youtube until cobra and the team are happy with their product and give us a final date. The updates we got where about like this: "release not imminent", "release not imminent", "some new features crept into release (e.g. lantrin)"
  16. Cool stuff, finally some proper flak coming :) The ship I was attacking raised hell in the air around it :pilotfly:
  17. After yesterdays stream I was left thinking. It felt strange but after about an hour I came to the conclusion that I just had to much Tomcat content. I hope Heatblur takes some action and raises the embargo again. Later I was diagnosed with a stroke ofc, no healty person would think such things.
  18. Awesome! This just made my weekend :) So many more great weekends to come!
  19. So with the January window rapidly closing, what do you guys place your bets on now? Feb or end of winter? Hopefully there will be some new videos as the youtubers should soon be somewhat familiar with the basics and ready to punch out those tutorials :D
  20. You can read about SAS of the A10C. I guess they are comparable to a degree. The A10C uses it for example to keep the plane stable while shooting the GAU-8.
  21. This wont happen independently of DCS for sure. But you could use a second PC running DCS and control the RIO via apps once these are done for the tomcat.
  22. I was thinking about asking a bit more for those short updates but then I thought it wont be anything new anyway. If they got news they will most likely publish them anyway, so no need for Cobra to type "release not imminent" :D
  23. I guess the truth lies somewhere inbetween. It is definitely hands on flying requiring rudder input and with many quirks like roll reversal and so on. But at the same time it is designed to not be a widowmaker. Stall? Ok the airframe got you bro, it just tips over. Rock the stick like you are in puberty? The airframe disintegrates itself and you die. Flat spins are deadly if you dont have 20k feet to spend or react slightly wrong. But thats why they are rare under normal operational conditions. And often require pilot error or some kind of failure.
  24. Btw. whats up with those weekly updates? Christmas week was silent, thats understandable. Can we tickle Cobra into saying "not imminent" again now? :)
