Dual Core/Windows 7/Vista - 32 bit or 64 bit?
Made.In.China.00 replied to Mr_Blastman's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Wags has said that the next big change to the engine should be an addition of a 64 bit version, so DCS can take advantage of more RAM. So if you have a fairly modern system, 64 bit is the way to go. I'm currently using win 7 rc 64 bit, never had any issue. -

Left handed HOTAS (please god it must exist)
Made.In.China.00 replied to coolts's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Never heared of a left handed HOTAS, can't help, sorry.:dunno: I don't think a left handed HOTAS exist on really airplanes either, except some airliner that use stick instead of yokes (in this case the captain's "HOTAS" would be left handed). I think you're out of luck on this, there aren't even many left handed mouse, let alone HOTAS. Maybe you should just practice you right hand more. -
HiFly62, since I have the DL version, I didn't really look for it, so... Did you try EB Games? I'm pretty sure Best Buy and futureshop in canada don't have Black Shark.

No difference softeware-wise, but with disc, you do get a nice box, a start-up guide and acheaper price.

I think I've read somewhere in the forum that the blast damage is not modeled or not modeled well enough.

Well, render always looks better than in-game, but still, the details are mind-blowing!!!

I have only one gpu, so I can't test it, but from what i read, it should get the second or more gpu to do some work. Here's the original post, forgot to include it. http://www.techpowerup.com/94462/EVGA_SLI_Enhancement_Patch_v11_(05.15.09)_Released.html -
EVGA published the 11th version of its SLI Enhancement Patch. Version 11 (05.15.09) is based on NVIDIA GeForce drivers 185.85, and enables SLI support for Zeno Clash and Merchants of Brooklyn, beyond the new additions NVIDIA's general release brings along: Guitar Hero: World Tour, Earthrise, Digital Combat Simulator: Black Shark, Shadow Harvest, and Terminator: Salvation. Anyone wanna give it a try?

Is it a good idea to fly in the valley? I do that all the time, since the montains on both sides can mask me very well.

Mission: On the Other Side... Need Help
Made.In.China.00 replied to Avatar72's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I did that mission too, and I blew up the first time like you guys, didn't have problem with the tigger thing, but it was pretty clear to me it was a Hind that shot me down, cause it sais so on the debriefing screen. (Spiral missle) Edit: And on the second try, I couldn't get past the mount, so I just dropped the rocket and finally got high enough. -
Nanovision 7-inch displays
Made.In.China.00 replied to Stickers's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Just to make it clearer, USB monitor don't work in 3D application is the USB monitor's problem, it has nothing to do with the application itself. Black shark dose support moltimonitor, but the monitor has to be pluged into a video card (intergrated counts). In the TH2G's case, it is seen as a super ultra wide screen by the computer, the TH3G box splits and distribute the image to the individual monitors connected to it. -
Multimonitor and Ultramon?
Made.In.China.00 replied to UUMickey's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Have you tried uninstalling Ultramon? See if DCS works without it. EDIT: Remember the engine we are using is pretty old, so it may not even be able to know the existence of a second monitor, and from what I read on the forum, multimonitor require some LUA scripting and needs span mode in XP, if you're in vista, you'll have to use windowed mode. Search around, there are some really long and detailed descussions on this.
