You are correct. It still shows that they did all sorts of tasking. 627 did fly MK VI albeit only one. -
So how do we shut down a damaged engine?
Dusty44 replied to Cowboy10uk's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
I mean I have managed it in the video above, the left engine is in flames and feathers. I just can’t put out the fire. Another guy I fly with has managed it after taking AA from a U boat and limped home on one in a multiplayer session. I see lots of people posting though so something is off. -
{Question} Is the Mossie fully VR compatible?
Dusty44 replied to waldorf's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
I remember this for NMS pretty clever but it’s not gonna replace a hotas I suppose it could maybe work DCS. I will check at sometime today with VR controls and let you know for sure. -

Definitely, the first thing I do is sit up, lean forward and left then hit reset view. -

I wonder if it’s bugging out sometimes or if certain damage wrecks the ability to do it? Early days hopefully the kinks get worked out. o7 -

I would love it but I’d rather have better voices first. Nothing yanks ( no pun ) me out of the cockpit faster than the “Copy” voice.

{Question} Is the Mossie fully VR compatible?
Dusty44 replied to waldorf's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
Do you mean with VR controls? Or just the VR headset using a hotas? I haven’t tried the Mosquito with VR controls ( or many planes at all ) the SU25 definitely can be interacted/flown with VR controls so I’m guessing the Mossie can too as it has a fully clickable ( and gorgeous) cockpit in VR and non VR. If you are intending to use VR controls I would say buy even a cheap stick over that. I could probably drive my car with boxing gloves on but man it ain’t gonna be fun. -
So how do we shut down a damaged engine?
Dusty44 replied to Cowboy10uk's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
Its easier than the method I suggested. Take damage press and hold the big red button, close throttle. As Darryl as already mentioned I couldn’t put out the fire. -
Very much this, the Honey comb has a two way landing gear, up or down. Neutral means it’s unusable. I know it’s real to have the neutral but maybe something in the special option?

So how do we shut down a damaged engine?
Dusty44 replied to Cowboy10uk's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
This is what works for me I have no idea if it’s correct. Chop RPM,chop throttle, once RPM is as low as it will go while windmilling pres and HOLD the feather engine button until the RPM drops to 400 release big red button engine will stop completely. Hope it helps. -
S.A.P bombs go boom even if you selected nose fuse which they dont have. To recreate load a S.A.P bomb arm the station and nose fuse ONLY. Pickle and watch it go bang. I know bombs and fuses are being worked on DCS wide so if this falls into that bundle just kick it to the side.

Prop Feathering ---- Am I doing something wrong?
Dusty44 replied to DartzIRL's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
This what works for me. Kill RPM,kill throttle when RPM is as low as it settles press and HOLD feather until RPM drops below 400 then let go. Engine will be feathered. -
Found this written in the bomb bay so did some digging, nice touch. https://www.raf.mod.uk/our-organisation/stations/raf-linton-on-ouse/news/veteran-mosquito-pilot-receives-his-wings-at-linton/

I think that too. Three of us did the Amien raid and we had to fly slow as per the brief and we had the whine in our ears. It’s actually only on one engine ( can’t recall ) so I left that one higher power above whine and decreased the other then compensated with rudder. Not ideal. Edit ( the warning comes on if both engines are closed, or there about a, as long as one is open the horn will stay off. It doesn’t matter which )

Set up a barrage balloon at any height and distance you want and go nuts.

Anyone using the honeycomb who finds the handles a little weedy check this site out. https://www.freesimstuff.com/downloads--honeycomb.html I got a load of handles 3d printed to fit over the honeycomb. They feel better in hand imho. I'm hoping the 3 slot print which is meant to be for a 3 position flaps will serve as bomb doors up, down and neutral but will have to see what ED gives us to play with axis wise.
